The reaction of phenylmercury(II) acetate and cadmium(II) acetate with a refluxed solution of diacetylmonoxime and morpholine N-thiohydrazide formed a novel phenylmercury(II) complex, [PhHg(Hdammthiol)] (1) and a cadmium(II) complex, [Cd(Hdammthiol)2] (2), respectively (where H2dammthiol is the thiol form of diacetylmonoximemorpholine N-thiohydrazone (Hdammth) formed by the condensation of diacetylmonoxime and morpholine N-thiohydrazide in the presence of phenylmercury(II) and cadmium(II) ions). The complexes were characterised by elemental analyses and spectral data (electronic, infrared and 1H NMR) and also by X-ray crystal structure analysis. The X-ray crystallography shows that the phenylmercury(II) complex attained a tricoordinated distorted T-shaped structure, while the cadmium(II) complex attained a trapezoidal bipyramidal geometry. The phenylmercury(II) complex forms a two-dimensional sheet via C–H?O and O–H?N hydrogen bonding and also forms a two-dimensional supramolecular dimer, having C–H?π synthons. Intermolecular C–H?O and O–H?O hydrogen bonding of the cadmium(II) complex forms a two-dimensional supramolecular sheet along the bc plane and posses an impressively short intermolecular C(sp3)?O(sp3) contact. 相似文献

Intermolecular interaction energy data for the methane dimer have been calculated at a spectroscopic accuracy and employed to construct an ab initio potential energy surface (PES) for molecular dynamics (MD) simulations of fluid methane properties. The full potential curves of the methane dimer at 12 symmetric conformations were calculated by the supermolecule counterpoise‐corrected second‐order Møller‐Plesset (MP2) perturbation theory. Single‐point coupled cluster with single and double and perturbative triple excitations [CCSD(T)] calculations were also carried out to calibrate the MP2 potentials. We employed Pople's medium size basis sets [up to 6‐311++G(3df, 3pd)] and Dunning's correlation consistent basis sets (cc‐pVXZ and aug‐cc‐pVXZ, X = D, T, Q). For each conformer, the intermolecular carbon–carbon separation was sampled in a step 0.1 Å for a range of 3–9 Å, resulting in a total of 732 configuration points calculated. The MP2 binding curves display significant anisotropy with respect to the relative orientations of the dimer. The potential curves at the complete basis set (CBS) limit were estimated using well‐established analytical extrapolation schemes. A 4‐site potential model with sites located at the hydrogen atoms was used to fit the ab initio potential data. This model stems from a hydrogen–hydrogen repulsion mechanism to explain the stability of the dimer structure. MD simulations using the ab initio PES show quantitative agreements on both the atom‐wise radial distribution functions and the self‐diffusion coefficients over a wide range of experimental conditions. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A monomeric PdII complex bearing a mixed carbocyclic/N‐heterocyclic carbene ligand and two bromides was reacted with an excess of elemental iodine, which resulted in the surprising removal of one bromide ligand and dimerization of the mixed‐carbene complex to form di‐μ‐bromido‐bis{[1‐(cyclohepta‐2,4,6‐trien‐2‐yl‐1‐ylidene‐κC 1)‐3‐(2,6‐diisopropylphenyl)imidazol‐2‐ylidene]palladium(II)} bis(pentaiodide) dichloromethane monosolvate, [Pd2Br2(C22H24N2)2](I5)2·CH2Cl2. The dimeric complex features a slightly distorted square‐planar core of two PdII centres bridged by two bromide ligands, which lie in the same plane as the seven‐ and five‐membered rings of the bidentate carbene ligand. The counter‐ions in the single crystal were found to be pentaiodide monoanions featuring their typical V‐shape, whereas for the bulk material, a mixture of Br/I interhalides is proposed. 相似文献

The synthesis is reported of a series of apolar nematic liquid crystals incorporating an alkoxyalkoxy chain attached in a terminal position to the molecular core. The dependence of the mesomorphism and phase transition temperatures on the nature of the terminal chain with one, two or three oxygen atoms was studied. Some compounds with a completely alicyclic molecular core and a terminal 2‐methoxyethoxy chain exhibit a nematic phase with a low melting point, birefringence and viscosity and a relatively high clearing point in the absence of smectic phases. They do not to absorb light in the near UV and may be useful as components of UV‐stable nematic mixtures for use in photoluminescent liquid crystal displays. The presence of the methoxyethoxy chain leads to a relatively large dipole moment perpendicular to the molecular long axis. 相似文献

We report calculations of the ground state energy and binding curve of the chromium dimer using the variational and diffusion quantum Monte Carlo (VMC and DMC) methods. We examined various single‐determinant and multideterminant wavefunctions multiplied by a Jastrow factor as a trial/guiding wavefunction for VMC/DMC. The molecular orbitals in the single determinants were calculated using restricted or unrestricted Hartree–Fock or density functional theory (DFT) calculations where five commonly used local (SVWN5), semilocal (PW91 and BLYP), and hybrid (B1LYP and B3LYP) functionals were examined. The multideterminant expansions were obtained from the generalized valence bond and (truncated) unrestricted configuration interaction with single and double excitations (UCISD) methods. We also examined a UCISD wavefunction in which UCISD expansions were added to the UB3LYP single‐determinant reference, and their coefficients were optimized at the VMC level. In addition to the wavefunction dependence, the effects of pseudopotentials and backflow transformation were also investigated. The UB3LYP single‐determinant and multideterminant wavefunctions were found to give the variationally best DMC energies within the framework of single‐determinant and multideterminants, respectively, though both the DMC energies were higher than twice the DMC atomic energy. Some of the VMC binding curves show a flat or quite shallow well bottom, which gets recovered deeper by DMC. A rare dihydoxyflavan-epicatechin proanthocyanidin, entcassiflavan-(4β→8)-epicatechin, was isolated from Dalbergia monetaria, a plant widely used by traditional people from the Amazon to treat urinary tract infections. The constitution and relative configuration of the compound were elucidated by HR-MS and detailed 1D- and 2D-NMR measurements. By comparing the experimental electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectrum with the calculated ECD spectra of all 16 possible isomers, the absolute configuration, the interflavan linkage, and the atropisomers could be determined. 相似文献

Antimicrobial bioassay-guided fractionation of the endophytic fungi Neofusicoccum australe led to the isolation of a new unsymmetrical naphthoquinone dimer, neofusnaphthoquinone B (1), along with four known natural products (2–5). Structure elucidation was conducted by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopic methods, and the antimicrobial activity of all the natural products was investigated, revealing 1 to be moderately active towards methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) with a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 16 µg/mL. 相似文献

Macrocyclic arylene ether ketone dimer was isolated from a mixture of cyclic oligomers obtained by the nucleophilic substitution reaction of bisphenol A and 4,4′-difluorobenzophenone and easily polymerized to high molecular weight linear poly-(ether ketone). The cyclic compound was characterized by FTIR, 1H- and 13C-NMR, and single-crystal x-ray diffraction. Analysis of the spectral and crystal structure reveals extreme distortions of the phenyl rings attached to the isopropylidene center and of the turning points of the molecular polygons. The release of the ring strain on ring-opening combined with entropical difference between the linear polymer chain and the more rigid macrocycle at temperatures of polymerization may be the proposed motivating factors in the polymerization of this precursor to high molecular weight poly(ether ketone). © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. The bipartite entanglement in pure and mixed states of a quantum spin-1 Heisenberg dimer with exchange and uniaxial single-ion anisotropies is quantified through the negativity in a presence of the external magnetic field. At zero temperature the negativity shows a marked stepwise dependence on a magnetic field with two abrupt jumps and plateaus, which can be attributed to the quantum antiferromagnetic and quantum ferrimagnetic ground states. The magnetic-field-driven phase transition between the quantum antiferromagnetic and quantum ferrimagnetic ground states manifests itself at nonzero temperatures by a local minimum of the negativity, which is followed by a peculiar field-induced rise of the negativity observable in a range of moderately strong magnetic fields. The rising temperature generally smears out abrupt jumps and plateaus of the negativity, which cannot be distinguished in the relevant dependencies above a certain temperature. It is shown that the thermal entanglement is most persistent against rising temperature at the magnetic field, for which an energy gap between a ground state and a first excited state is highest. Besides, temperature variations of the negativity of the spin-1 Heisenberg dimer with an easy-axis single-ion anisotropy may exhibit a singular point-kink, at which the negativity has discontinuity in its first derivative. The homodinuclear nickel complex [Ni(Medpt)(-ox)(HO)](ClO)·2HO provides a suitable experimental platform of the antiferromagnetic spin-1 Heisenberg dimer, which allowed us to estimate a strength of the bipartite entanglement between two exchange-coupled Ni magnetic ions on the grounds of the interaction constants reported previously from the fitting procedure of the magnetization data. It is verified that the negativity of this dinuclear compound is highly magnetic-field-orientation dependent due to presence of a relatively strong uniaxial single-ion anisotropy. 相似文献
