This paper discusses tunneling of scalar particles and
Dirac particles from the Taub-NUT-AdS black hole by the
Hamilton--Jacobi equation, initially used by Angheben et al,
and the Dirac equation, recently proposed by Kerner and Mann.
This is performed in the dragging coordinate frame so
as to avoid the ergosphere dragging effect. A general
form is obtained for the temperature of scalar and Dirac particles tunneling
from the Taub-NUT-Ads black hole, which is commensurate with other

The evolution of a granular gas of viscoelastic particles in the homogeneous cooling state is studied. The velocity distribution function of granular particles and the time dependence of the mean kinetic energy of particles (granular temperature) are found. The noticeable deviation of the distribution function from the Maxwell distribution and its non-monotonous evolution are established. The perturbation theory with respect to the small dispersion parameter is elaborated and the analytical expressions for the asymptotic time dependence of the velocity distribution function and the granular gas temperature are derived. 相似文献

The entropy per particle in most Monte-Carlo simulations is size dependent
due to correlated energy fluctuations. Guided by nanothermodynamics, we find
a constraint for the Ising model that enhances the fluctuations and lowers
the free energy, while making the entropy homogeneous, additive, and
extensive. Although the average interaction energy becomes size dependent,
the resulting distribution of energies provides a mechanism for the

A sample of 1233 events is used to study the general characteristics of {}^{16}O-Em interactions at 4.5 A GeV/c. Multiplicity and angular distributions of slow particles and correlations among them are discussed. The present data are compared with the corresponding results from the interactions of other projectiles at the same energy and also the same projectile at different energies. The results indicate that black particle production is independent of the energy and mass of the projectile, but for grey particles it is dependent on the mass of projectile. 相似文献

43Ca and 13C NMR methods were used to study the chemical interaction of poly(ethylene–vinyl acetate) (PEVAc) admixture in commercial-grade white cement. From 43Ca NMR it is shown both that PEVAc induces modest changes in the hydrated cement structure, and that hydrated commercial cement is significantly more complex than models that have been used for its structure in past work. The 13C NMR results show that the PEVAc hydrolysis occurs early in the cement hydration acceleration period, with a rate well-fit by an exponential decay using a time constant of 6±1 days. 相似文献

Long-duration experiments with clouds of microparticles are planned for the ICAPS facility on board the International Space Station ISS. The scientific objectives of such experiments are widespread and are ranging from the simulation of aerosol behaviour in Earths atmosphere to the formation of planets in the early solar system. It is, however, even under microgravity conditions, impossible to sustain a cloud of free-floating, microscopic particles for an extended period of time, due to thermal diffusion and due to unavoidable external accelerations. Therefore, a trap for dust clouds is required which prevents the diffusion of the particles, which provides a source of relative velocities between the dust grains and which can also concentrate the dust to higher number densities that are otherwise not achievable. We are planning to use the photophoretic effect for such a particle trap. First short-duration microgravity experiments on the photophoretic motion of microscopic particles show that such an optical particle-cloud trap is feasible. First tests of a two-dimensional trap were performed in the Bremen drop tower. 相似文献

Recent studies have pointed out the importance of the
basal friction on the dynamics of granular flows. We present
experimental results on the influence of the roughness of the
inclined plane on the dynamics of a monodisperse dry granular
flow. We found experimentally that there exists a maximum of the
friction for a given relative roughness. This maximum is shown
to be independent of the slope angle. This behavior is observed
for four planes with different bump sizes (given by the size of
the beads glued on the plane) from 200 m to 2 mm. The relative
roughness corresponding to the maximum of the friction can be
predicted with a geometrical model of stability of one single
bead on the plane. The main parameters are the size of the bumps
and the size of the flowing beads. In order to obtain a higher
precision, the model also takes into account the spacing between
the bumps of the rough plane. Experimental results and model are
in good agreement for all the planes we studied. Other
parameters, like the sphericity of the beads, or irregularities
in the thickness of the layer of glued particles, are shown to
be of influence on the friction. 相似文献
