The electronic and structural properties of Au/ZnO under industrial and idealized methanol synthesis conditions have been investigated. This was achieved by kinetic measurements in combination with time‐resolved operando infrared (DRIFTS) as well as in situ near‐ambient pressure X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (NAP‐XPS) and X‐ray absorption near‐edge spectroscopy (XANES) measurements at the O K‐edge together with high‐resolution electron microscopy. The adsorption of CO during the reaction revealed the presence of negatively charged Au nanoparticles/Au sites during the initial phase of the reaction. Near‐ambient‐pressure XPS and XANES demonstrate the build‐up of O vacancies during the reaction, which goes along with a substantial increase in the rate of methanol formation. The results are discussed in comparison with previous findings for Cu/ZnO and Au/ZnO catalysts. 相似文献

The intensity and polarization of fractal aggregates have been investigated using both rigorous and approximate methods for light scattering simulations. However, previous studies using the analytical orientation averaging version of the rigorous method were generally limited to a few hundred monomers when the monomer size parameter was around 1.7. In this study, we propose using numerical orientation averaging instead of analytical orientation averaging. The numerical averaging is performed together with a fixed orientation version of the rigorous T-matrix method for clusters of spheres. This approach enables increasing the number of monomers by a factor of 2-7 or the size of monomers by a factor of 8-10 compared to the analytical orientation averaging version.We investigated the influence of monomer size and the number of monomers on the light scattering of silicate aggregates (refractive index m=1.68+0.03i) for incident light with a wavelength of . We considered ballistic particle-cluster aggregates (BPCA) and ballistic cluster-cluster aggregates (BCCA) composed of 128, 256, 512, and 1024 monomers with radii between 0.11 and .Our results show that the size of monomers plays an important role in reproducing the negative polarization branch for all the BPCA and BCCA. Silicate aggregates with the monomer radius of less than contribute to reproducing the negative polarization branch, while aggregates with monomers larger than do not have the negative polarization branch. Polarization oscillation with scattering angle occurs for larger monomers (i.e., monomer radius ).The maximum polarization decreases for increasing monomer radius between 0.11 and . However, the negative polarization branch is generally enhanced for monomer radii up to around , and reduced for further increase of monomer size.The number of monomers also has a large influence on the negative polarization branch in the case of BPCA. The increase in the number of monomers from 128 to 1024 shifts the scattering angle of minimum polarization to larger angles for BPCA. In addition, the increase in the number of monomers reduces the values of negative polarization for BPCA while the variation with the number of monomers for BCCA is small and is not monotonic. 相似文献

低温相变蓄冷的关键是蓄冷材料的开发.本文针对啤酒工艺对冷源温度的要求,选择BaCl2共晶盐水溶液为相变蓄冷材料基液,在基液中添加粒径为20nm的TiO2纳米粒子,形成具有蓄冷功能的纳米复合材料.对其热物性如导热系数、相变潜热、相变温度、过冷度及粘度进行了实验测量和分析.结果表明,在TiO2纳米粒子的质量分数为1%的情况下,纳米复合蓄冷材料的导热系数比基液提高了11.28%,过冷度从3.97℃降为1.21℃,同时粘度增加了21.7%,相变潜热略有降低. 相似文献

Auditory functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) requires quantification of sound stimuli in the magnetic environment and adequate isolation of background noise. We report the development of two novel sound measurement systems that accurately measure the sound intensity inside the ear, which can simultaneously provide the similar or greater amount of scanner- noise protection than ear-muffs. First, we placed a 2.6 x 2.6-mm microphone in an insert phone that was connected to a headphone [microphone-integrated, foam-tipped insert-phone with a headphone (MIHP)]. This attenuated scanner noise by 37.8+/-4.6 dB, a level better than the reference amount obtained using earmuffs. The nonmetallic optical microphone was integrated with a headphone [optical microphone in a headphone (OMHP)] and it effectively detected the change of sound intensity caused by variable compression on the cushions of the headphone. Wearing the OMHP reduced the noise by 28.5+/-5.9 dB and did not affect echoplanar magnetic resonance images. We also performed an auditory fMRI study using the MIHP system and presented increase in the auditory cortical activation following 10-dB increment in the intensity of sound stimulation. These two newly developed sound measurement systems successfully achieved the accurate quantification of sound stimuli with maintaining the similar level of noise protection of wearing earmuffs in the auditory fMRI experiment. 相似文献

It is difficult to eliminate the effect of vessel walls and impurities in practical studies of boiling-up of strongly superheated
liquids. Therefore, some doubts are always cast upon validity of experiments and their agreement with the classical theory
of homogeneous stationary nucleation, impairing the verification of theoretical considerations. This paper reports main results
of the theory of homogeneous nucleation and presents formulas for calculating the work of formation of a critical nucleus
by an incline of the accessible superheating boundary on isobars and isotherms. Matching of experimental and theoretical values
of the work of formation was considered as the homogeneous boiling-up criterion. Calculations by isobars and isotherms were
made for some liquids. The theoretical values of the work of formation of a critical nucleus were 1.23–4.5 times higher than
the corresponding empirical values for all the liquids, i.e., they were much higher than the calculation error. Thus, boiling-up
of the studied liquids was not homogeneous and, hence, it did not correspond to the classical theory of nucleation.

Filled and unfilled polyvinylalcohol (PVA) films were prepared by the casting technique. Films of equal amounts with various concentrations of two fillers (CoBr2 and MgCl2) were prepared. Spectroscopic, structural and some physical properties of these films were studied with different techniques. Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) revealed that the syndiotacticity structure of the PVA samples causes dense molecular packing in the crystal and also stronger intermolecular hydrogen bonds, which are responsible for the disappearance of the molecular motion. X-ray diffraction (XRD) scans evidenced the presence of some semicrystalline structure of PVA films. The optical absorption spectra suggested the presence of an optical gap (Eg), which depends on filler concentration for all the filling levels. Differential thermal analysis (DTA) suggests that the segmental mobility of an amorphous pure PVA increases as a result of the addition of mixed fillers, becoming less-rigid segments. This indicates that the mixed fillers act as plasticizers. 相似文献

The simultaneous interaction of three fundamental fields is illustrated in Einstein Cartan Evans (ECE) theory with reference to the effect of gravitation on the inverse Faraday effect. The three-field interaction in this case is that of the fermionic, electromagnetic and gravitational fields. The interaction of the first two is developed in a well-defined semi-classical approximation of the ECE wave equation and the effect of gravitation incorporated through the index reduced canonical energy momentum density T. Plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PE-CVD) low-dielectric (low-k) film was irradiated with ultra violet (UV) light of wavelength 172 nm to enhance mechanical strength and reduce dielectric constant (k value). Adsorbed poly(ethylene‐stat‐vinyl acetate) (PEVAc) on fumed silica was studied using temperature‐modulated differential scanning calorimetry (TMDSC) and FT‐IR spectroscopy. The properties of the copolymers were compared with poly(vinyl acetate) (PVAc) and low density polyethylene (LDPE) as references. TMDSC analysis of the copolymer‐silica samples in the glass transition region was complicated for the copolymers because of the ethylene crystallinity. Nevertheless, examination of the glass transition region for small adsorbed amounts of these copolymers indicated the presence of tightly‐ and loosely‐bound polymer segments, similar to other polymers which have an attraction to silica. Compared with bulk polymers with the same composition, the tightly‐bound polymers showed an increased glass transition temperature (Tg) and a loosely‐bound fraction with a lower Tg than bulk. FT‐IR spectra of the surface copolymers indicated that the fraction of bound carbonyls (p) increased as the fraction of vinyl acetate in the copolymers decreased, consistent with the notion that the carbonyls from vinyl acetate preferentially find their way to the silica surface. Spectra from samples with different adsorbed amounts of polymer were used to obtain the amount of bound polymer (Mb) and the ratio of molar absorption coefficients of bound carbonyls to free carbonyls (X). The copolymers had very large p values (up to 0.8) at small adsorbed amounts and dependent on the composition of the polymer. However, an analysis of the bound fractions, based on only the vinyl acetate groups, superimposed the data, suggesting that the ethylene units simply dilute the vinyl acetate groups in the surface polymer. The sample with the smallest fraction of vinyl acetate did not show this behavior and may be considered to be “carbonyl poor.” © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part B: Polym.
