Single and binary adsorption behaviors of salicylic acid and 5-sulfosalicylic acid onto hypercrosslinked polymeric adsorbents, i.e. NDA-101 and NDA-99 were investigated. The Freundlich model can successfully describe all the adsorption isotherms tested, which indicates a favorable and exothermic adsorption process. The adsorption of salicylic acid relies on π-π interaction, while the electrostatic interaction further influences the adsorption of 5-sulfosalicylic acid onto NDA-99. The adsorptive capacity of salicylic acid on NDA-99 decreases but increases on NDA-101 with 5-sulfosalicylic acid as the background component in a binary solute system. The amount of 5-sulfosalicylic acid adsorbed was decreased with the increase in initial concentration of salicylic acid on both adsorbents. The competition for the adsorption sites is considered to be predominant in the solid-to-liquid interaction process. The adsorption selectivity of salicylic acid onto NDA-101 is higher than onto NDA-99 by more than an order of magnitude. Thus, combination technique involving NDA-101 followed by NDA-99 can be effectively applied to separate and recover salicylic acid and 5-sulfosalicylic acid from wastewater.  相似文献

Jäntti introduced a method to calculate the adsorption equilibrium by measuring the actual adsorbed amount three times after a change to the gas pressure. By this method the experimental time for adsorption measurement can be considerably shortened. The procedure was developed for use in adsorption measurements where the adsorbed masses are directly measured with a balance. In the present paper we will demonstrate that the method is particularly useful in volumetric (manometric) measurements.  相似文献

From the measurements of surface potentials of quartz capillaries before and after adsorption of poly(ethylene oxides) (PEO) of various molecular mass, an assessment of the equilibrium hydrodynamic thickness of the adsorption layers has been obtained. The results have been compared with those of independent measurements of . The flow of the polymer solution under increasing pressure drops at the ends of a capillary, which causes the corresponding shear stress () on the surface of adsorbed PEO layers, results in the deformation of the latter, which manifests itself in decreasing 5. The values decrease by several times when the shear stress rises to 2×102 N m–2. Such values of have been obtained using thin capillaries (r = 5÷6 mm) and by application of the capillary electrokinetic method with pressure drops up to 5÷6 MPa.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Summary A sequence for the fractionation of the amylasic components from a malted barley extract is proposed using two salt-promoted, adsorption processes: thiophilic interaction chromatography (TIC) and hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC).Two fractions containing -amylase activity were recovered during the thiophilic chromatography; the first was resolved in to -amylase I and -amylase I by HIC on a phenyl-sepharose column; an enrichment factor of 32 was achieved for -amylase I. The other amylasic component eluted from the thiophilic gel was characterized as -amylase II. Although the adsorption of malt amylases on phenylsepharose and the thiophilic adsorbent is salt promoted, the interactions involved in each case are clearly distinguished by the different behaviour and disparate salt effects.  相似文献

When the two end groups of a linear polymer chain are absorbed on a solid surface,the polymer chain forms the "loop" conformation.Investigation has been made on the conformational statistics of a model loop chain by the normal landom walk (NRW) on a lattice confined in the half-infinite space.Based on the conformational distribution function of the NRW model tail chain,it is easy to deduce an analytical formula expressing the conforma-tional number of the model loop chain.It was found that the ratio of the conformational number of the model loop chain to that of the free chain varies with the power function N-2/3 when the chain length N→∞ The same result was obtained by means of the recursion equation.The ratio of the mean square end-to-end distance h2 for the model loop chain to its mean square bond length I2 is 2N/3 Compared with the free chain with the same length N,the mean square end-to-end distance of the model loop chain contracts to a certain extent.The basic relationships deduced were support  相似文献

Near-edge X-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) spectroscopy has been applied to reveal the molecular arrangement of ultrathin oligophenyl films [p-quaterphenyl (4P) and p-hexaphenyl (6P)] on Au(111). In the half-monolayer films the molecules lie flat on the surface but still have a considerable inter-ring twist of 30 degrees -40 degrees , similar to the gas-phase conformation. In the saturated monolayer film the second half of the molecules is side-tilted by an angle of less than 66 degrees with respect to the surface. This arrangement is already similar to that in bulk net planes of thicker films parallel to the surface, that is, the 4P(211) and 6P(21-3) planes, respectively.  相似文献

碱处理笼形聚偕氨肟树脂(BCAO)对羧酸表现出强的吸附能力。一元羧酸在BCAO树脂上以多层吸附为主要特征。二元和三元羧酸则以单层吸附占优势。后者可能是以双阴离子的一个负极吸着在BCAO树脂表面,形成了对其他羧酸阴离子起排斥作用的负离子场。另外,双阴离子也有可能和两个氨基结合形成次级交联,妨碍着其他离子迁移和扩散。  相似文献

The adsorption heat of the stoichiometric displacement process for the adsorption of a solute in a liquid-solid system was investigated. On the basis of the SDM-A and the rule of the additivity of energy, an expression which describes the dependence of the adsorption enthalpy on the nature and concentration of the solute, and on the solvent and adsorbent, was derived. The adsorption heat determined for the solute with the traditional method can be divided into two independent fractions, relating to the adsorption of the solute and to the desorption of the solvent. Experimental data on both isotherms from the literatures and precise calorimetry were used to test the adsorption heat and its fractions computed quantitatively via the equations presented in this study, and a satisfactory degree of conformity between them was obtained.
