In this paper we analyze the equilibrium phase diagram of the two-dimensional ferromagnetic n.n. Ising model when the external field takes alternating signs on different rows. We show that some of the zero-temperature coexistence lines disappear at every positive sufficiently small temperature, whereas one (and only one) of them persists for sufficiently low temperature. 相似文献

We prove some results concerning the decay of connectivities in the low-temperature phase of the two-dimensional Ising model. These provide the bounds necessary to establish, nonperturbatively, large-deviation properties for block magnetizations in these systems. Persistence is studied in a financial context by mapping the time
evolution of the values of the shares quoted on the London Financial
Times Stock Exchange 100 index (FTSE 100) onto Ising spins.
By following the time dependence
of the spins, we find evidence for power law decay of the proportion
of shares that remain either above or below their 'starting'
values. As a result, we estimate a persistence exponent for the

In this paper, we study the phase transition property of an Ising model defined on a special random graph—the stochastic block model (SBM). Based on the Ising model, we propose a stochastic estimator to achieve the exact recovery for the SBM. The stochastic algorithm can be transformed into an optimization problem, which includes the special case of maximum likelihood and maximum modularity. Additionally, we give an unbiased convergent estimator for the model parameters of the SBM, which can be computed in constant time. The phase diagrams in the mixed spin-3/2 and spin-2 Ising system with two alternative layers on a honeycomb lattice are investigated and discussed by the use of the effective-field theory with correlations. The interaction of the nearest-neighbour spins of each layer is taken to be positive (ferromagnetic interaction) and the interaction of the adjacent spins of the nearest-neighbour layers is considered to be either positive or negative (ferromagnetic or anti-ferromagnetic interaction). The temperature dependence of the layer magnetizations of the system is examined to characterize the nature (continuous or discontinuous) of the phase transitions and obtain the phase transition temperatures. The system exhibits both second-and first-order phase transitions besides triple point (T P ), critical end point (E), multicritical point (A), isolated critical point (C) and reentrant behaviour depending on the interaction parameters. We have also studied the temperature dependence of the total magnetization to find the compensation points, as well as to determine the type of behaviour, and N-type behaviour in N′eel classification nomenclature existing in the system. The phase diagrams are constructed in eight different planes and it is found that the system also presents the compensation phenomena depending on the sign of the bilinear exchange interactions. 相似文献

I studied the ferrimagnetic Ising model with nearest neighbour interactions for a square lattice and simple cubic one, using mean field theory. The free energy of a mixed spin Ising ferrimagnetic model was calculated from a mean field approximation of the Hamiltonian. By minimizing the free energy, I obtained the equilibrium magnetizations and the compensation temperatures. Clear indications of the single-ion anisotropies on the compensation points of the mixed spin-3/2 and spin-5/2 ferrimagnetic lattices are found. Some interesting behaviors of these systems are obtained depending not only on the values of magnetic anisotropies for both sublattice sites but also on the lattice structure. The longitudinal magnetic fields dependence of the spin compensation temperature is the main focus of research. The possibility of many compensation temperatures is indicated. 相似文献

The stationary states of the kinetic spin-1 Blume-Capel (BC) model on the Bethe lattice are analyzed in detail in terms of recursion relations. The model is described using a Glauber-type stochastic dynamics in the presence of a time-dependent oscillating external magnetic field (h) and crystal field (D) interactions. The dynamic order parameter, the hysteresis loop area and the dynamic correlation are calculated. It is found that the magnetization oscillates around nonzero values at low temperatures (T) for the ferromagnetic (F) phase while it only oscillates around zero values at high temperatures for the paramagnetic (P) phase. There are regions of the phase space where the two solutions coexist. The dynamic phase diagrams are obtained on the (kT/J,h/J) and (kT/J,D/J) planes for the coordination number q=4. In addition to second-order and first-order phase transitions, dynamical tricritical points and triple points are also observed. 相似文献

In this paper we propose a model-independent method to extract the resonance parameters on the lattice directly from the Euclidean 2-point correlation functions of the field operators at finite times. The method is tested in case of the two-point function of the Δ-resonance, calculated at one loop in Small Scale Expansion. On the basis of the result obtained by applying Baxter's exact perturbative approach to the dilute A3 model to give the E8 mass spectrum, the dilute AL inversion relation was used to predict the eigenspectra in the L=4 and L=6 cases (corresponding to E7 and E6 respectively).
