The present study was conducted to evaluate the effect of ultrasonic (US) treatment on chemical characteristics and antioxidant potential of pulps obtained from eight mango varieties indigenous to Pakistan. There was a significant (p < 0.05) effect of varieties and US treatment on chemical characteristics i.e. pH, acidity, TSS, vitamin C contents, total sugars (%), reducing sugars (%) and non-reducing sugars (%). Microstructure evaluation of pulp from all mango varieties showed deshaped middle lamella and cell wall of cells after 8 min of US treatment. At 4 min of US treatment as per shaped cell wall and middle lamella, the chemical characteristics and antioxidant potential were higher. The total phenolics (TP), flavonoids (TF) and total antioxidant activity (TAA) of pulp from most varieties increased significantly (p < 0.05) after US treatment for 4 min but decreased successively after each treatment i.e. 8 and 12 min. The maximum value (314.17 μg AAE/mL pulp) of DPPH was shown by pulp from Dosehri and the minimum (158.67 μg AAE/mL pulp) was found in pulp from Langra before US treatment. The DPPH values of pulp from most of the varieties increased significantly (p < 0.05) after US treatment for 4 min but decreased successively after each treatment but pulp from Langra showed increasing trend after 8 min of US treatment which decreased after 12 min of treatment. The total anthocyanin (TA) values of pulp from Chaunsa, Dosehri, Sindhri, Gulab Khas and Langra increased abruptly after US treatment for 4 min but decreased successively after subsequent treatment. The pulp from Desi, Anwar Ratol, Gulab Khas and Langra showed an abrupt decrease in TA after 8 min of US treatment. An increasing trend of values of total carotenoids (TC) was shown by pulp from all mango varieties after 4 min of US treatment but decreasing trend was observed with subsequent increase in time of US treatment.  相似文献

Let X be an arbitrary variety over a finite field k and p=char k,n N. We will construct a complex of étale sheaves on X together with trace isomorphism from the highest étale cohomology group of this complex onto Z/pnZ such that for every constructible Z/pnZ-sheaf on X the Yoneda pairing is a nondegenerate pairing of finite groups. If X is smooth, this complex is the Gersten resolution of the logarithmic de Rham–Witt sheaf introduced by Gros and Suwa. The proof is based on the special case proven by Milne when the sheaf is constant and X is smooth, as well as on a purity theorem which in turn follows from a theorem about the cohomological dimension of Ci-fields due to Kato and Kuzumaki. If the existence of the Lichtenbaum complex is proven, the theorem will be the p-part of a general duality theorem for varieties over finite fields.  相似文献

Let XP be a variety (respectively an open subset of an analytic submanifold) and let xX be a point where all integer valued differential invariants are locally constant. We show that if the projective second fundamental form of X at x is isomorphic to the second fundamental form of a point of a Segre P× P, n,m2, a Grassmaniann G(2,n+2), n4, or the Cayley plane OP2, then X is the corresponding homogeneous variety (resp. an open subset of the corresponding homogeneous variety). The case of the Segre P2×P2 had been conjectured by Griffiths and Harris in [GH]. If the projective second fundamental form of X at x is isomorphic to the second fundamental form of a point of a Veronese v2(P) and the Fubini cubic form of X at x is zero, then X=v2 (P) (resp. an open subset of v2(P)). All these results are valid in the real or complex analytic categories and locally in the C category if one assumes the hypotheses hold in a neighborhood of any point x. As a byproduct, we show that the systems of quadrics I2(P P) S2C, I2(P1× P) S2C and I2(S5) S2C16 are stable in the sense that if A S* is an analytic family such that for t0,AA, then A0A. We also make some observations related to the Fulton–:Hansen connectedness theorem.  相似文献

We propose a conceptual framework that leads to an abstract characterization for the exact solvability of Calabi–Yau varieties in terms of abelian varieties with complex multiplication. The abelian manifolds are derived from the cohomology of the Calabi–Yau manifold, and the conformal field theoretic quantities of the underlying string emerge from the number theoretic structure induced on the varieties by the complex multiplication symmetry. The geometric structure that provides a conceptual interpretation of the relation between geometry and conformal field theory is discrete, and turns out to be given by the torsion points on the abelian varieties.  相似文献

For integers 1 m < n, a Cantor variety with m basic n-ary operations i and n basic m-ary operations k is a variety of algebras defined by identities k(1( ), ... , m( )) = k and i(1( ), ... ,n( )) = y i, where = (x 1., ... , x n) and = (y 1, ... , y m). We prove that interpretability types of Cantor varieties form a distributive lattice, , which is dual to the direct product 1 × 2 of a lattice, 1, of positive integers respecting the natural linear ordering and a lattice, 2, of positive integers with divisibility. The lattice is an upper subsemilattice of the lattice of all interpretability types of varieties of algebras.  相似文献

Support varieties for any finite dimensional algebra over a field were introduced in (Proc. London Math. Soc. 88 (3) (2004) 705–732) using graded subalgebras of the Hochschild cohomology ring. We mainly study these varieties for selfinjective algebras under appropriate finite generation hypotheses. Then many of the standard results from the theory of support varieties for finite groups generalize to this situation. In particular, the complexity of the module equals the dimension of its corresponding variety, all closed homogeneous varieties occur as the variety of some module, the variety of an indecomposable module is connected, the variety of periodic modules are lines and for symmetric algebras a generalization of Webbs theorem is true.
