Within the framework of the effective-mass approximation, the exciton states and interband optical transitions in InxGa1−xN/GaN strained quantum dot (QD) nanowire heterostructures are investigated using a variational method, in which the important built-in electric field (BEF) effects, dielectric-constant mismatch and three-dimensional confinement of the electron and hole in InxGa1−xN QDs are considered. We find that the strong BEF gives rise to an obvious reduction of the effective band gap of QDs and leads to a remarkable electron-hole spatial separation. The BEF, QD height and radius, and dielectric mismatch effects have a significant influence on exciton binding energy, electron interband optical transitions, and the exciton oscillator strength. 相似文献

文章根据二氧化硅介孔材料MCM-41纳米孔结构特点,首先建立和验证了纳米结构单元模型,然后使用平衡分子动力学方法模拟了孔壁热导率;接着耦合孔隙内气体导热,开展了一维传热分析,最终提炼出MCM-41的有效热导率表达式;并对壁厚、孔径和孔隙率对热导率的影响进行了分析.研究结果表明,MCM-41具有良好的绝热性能,其有效热导率随孔隙率增大近似呈线性减小,且表现出各向异性;导热性能沿孔道长度方向表现出准一维特性.

We take a critical view at the basic definition of extended single particle states in a non-translationally invariant system. For this, we present the case of a hierarchical lattice and incorporate long range interactions that are also distributed in a hierarchical fashion. We show that it is possible to explicitly construct eigenstates with constant amplitudes (normalized to unity) at every lattice point for special values of the electron-energy. However, the end-to-end transmission, corresponding to the above energy of the electron in such a hierarchical system depends strongly on a special correlation between the numerical values of the parameters of the Hamiltonian. Keeping the energy and the distribution of the amplitudes invariant, one can transform the lattice from conducting to insulating simply by tuning the numerical values of the long range interaction. Determination of elemental composition of cement powder plays an important role in the cement and construction industries. In the present paper, Laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) is used for measuring the concentration of cement ingredient. Cement powder samples are pressed into pellets. Laser pulses are focused on the surface of pellets. A microplasma is formed in the front of samples. The plasma emission contains information about the elemental composition of the samples. By assumption of local thermodynamic equilibrium (LTE) and using several standard cement samples, a calibration curve is prepared for each element. The major and minor elements of cement such as Ca, Si, K, Mg, Al, Na, Ti, Mn and Sr are qualitatively and quantitatively determined. For verification of LTE conditions, plasma parameters such as plasma electron temperature and electron density are computed. According to the obtained results, the LIBS technique could be a suitable method for determination of elemental composition in the cement production industries. 相似文献

We reported on planar waveguides in stoichiometric lithium niobate fabricated by 4.5 MeV oxygen ion implantation with a dose of 6 × 1014 ions/cm2 at room temperature. After ion implantation, these samples were annealed at 240 °C, 260 °C, and 300 °C for 30 min. We investigated annealing effect on the guiding modes and near-field images in the waveguides by prism-coupling method and end-face coupling method respectively. We found that for the extraordinary refractive index a positive alternation occurred in the near-surface region while a negative alternation happened at the end of ion track. Moreover, we measured the transmission spectra for the pure sample and implanted samples before and after annealed at different temperatures, and we observed an absorption peak at ∼480 nm (2.6 eV) in all of these SLN samples. 相似文献

Glass layers for planar light waveguides prepared by Ag-Na ion exchange of different silicate glasses in molten salt baths are annealed and/or irradiated with a laser beam in the UV region, with different energy density values and total pulse numbers. The samples are mainly characterized by optical absorption spectroscopy, luminescence spectroscopy, and Rutherford backscattering spectrometry, in order to determine the role of irradiation parameters and of the host matrix structure in the aggregation phenomena. Photoluminescence spectroscopy gave information regarding the presence of Ag multimeric aggregates, the primal seeds for the growing (nano)crystals. The appearance of the plasmon resonance band in the optical absorption spectra proved the formation of Ag clusters and allowed the evolution steps of the clusterization process to be followed as a function of the energy deposited during the laser irradiation. 相似文献

Ge1−xMnx (x = 0, 0.013, 0.0226, 0.0339, 0.0565, 0.0678, 0.0904, 0.113) films prepared by magnetron sputtering at 773 K had a Ge cubic structure except for x = 0.1130. Co ion implantation into these films can effectively prevent the formation of a second phase. Both single-doped and co-doped samples were ferromagnetic at room temperature. The d-d exchange interaction between the interstitial Mn (MnT) and the substituted Mn (MnGe) resulted in ferromagnetism in the sputtered films. Since Co ion implantation destroyed the MnT-MnGe-MnT complex, the saturated magnetization decreased. Hall measurements revealed that the Co ion implanted films were n-type semiconductors, and the anomalous Hall Effect (AHE) suggested the ferromagnetism was carrier-mediated in the implanted films. 相似文献

Carbon fractals grown from carbon nanotips by plasma-enhanced hot filament chemical vapor deposition
Carbon nanomaterials with different structures were prepared in a custom-designed plasma-enhanced hot filament chemical vapor deposition system using methane, hydrogen and nitrogen. They were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and micro-Raman spectroscopy. The SEM images show that the smooth carbon nanotips are formed under a high bias current and the carbon fractals can grow from the tips of the carbon nanotips under a low bias current. The results of micro-Raman spectroscopy indicate that the graphitization of the carbon nanomaterials was improved by ion bombardment. Combined the ion bombardment, electric field enhancement and electron emission mechanisms, the formation model of the carbon fractals was suggested. 相似文献

Pure hydrogenated amorphous carbon (α-C:H) and nitrogen doped hydrogenated amorphous carbon (α-C:H:N) thin films were prepared using end-Hall (EH) ion beam deposition with a beam energy ranging from 24 eV to 48 eV. The composition, microstructure and mechanical properties of the films were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Raman spectroscopy, scanning probe microscopy (SPM), and nano-scratch tests. The films are uniform and smooth with root mean square roughness values of 0.5-0.8 nm for α-C:H and 0.35 nm for α-C:H:N films. When the ion energy was increased from 24 eV to 48 eV, the fraction of sp3 bonding in the α-C:H films increased from 36% to 55%, the hardness increased from 8 GPa to 12.5 GPa, and the Young's modulus increased from 100 GPa to 130 GPa. In the α-C:H:N films, N/C atomic ratio, the hardness and Young's modulus of the α-C:H:N films are, 0.087, 15 and 145 GPa, respectively. The results indicate that both higher ion energy and a small amount of N doping improve the mechanical properties of the films. The results have demonstrated that smooth and uniform α-C:H and α-C:H:N films with large area and reasonably high hardness and Young's modulus can be synthesized by EH ion source. 相似文献
