After reporting the structure of a new polymorph of 1,3,5‐trifluoro‐2,4,6‐triiodobenzene (denoted BzF3I3 ), C6F3I3, (I), which crystallized in the space group P 21/c , we perform a comparative analysis with the already reported P 21/n polymorph, (II) [Reddy et al. (2006). Chem. Eur. J. 12 , 2222–2234]. In polymorph (II), type‐II I…I halogen bonds and I…π interactions connect molecules in such a way that a three‐dimensional structure is formed; however, the way in which molecules are connected in polymorph (I), through type‐II I…I halogen bonds and π–π interactions, gives rise to an exfoldable lamellar structure, which looks less tightly bound than that of (II). In agreement with this structural observation, both the melting point and the melting enthalpy of (I) are lower than those of (II). 相似文献

The thermal rearrangement of several N-nitrosoamides was studied by 1H NMR in the context of reversible encapsulation. The N-nitrosoamide guests were isolated from the bulk solvent in a hydrogen-bonded dimeric host capsule which prevented their rearrangement. The guests appear to be preserved in their ground state conformations by the pressure exerted by the host. The conformations of the free and bound N-nitrosoamides are of comparable relative energies as determined by DFT calculations. 相似文献

Complex formation of 1?:?1 mixtures of naphthols, viz. (α-naphthol and β-naphthol) with triethylamine in benzene have been studied at a frequency of 2?MHz in the concentration range of 0.010–0.090 and at varying temperatures of 30, 40 and 50°C. Using the measured ultrasonic velocity, the thermoacoustical parameters such as adiabatic compressibility, intermolecular free length, molar sound velocity, molar compressibility and acoustic impedance have been calculated. The ultrasonic velocity shows a maxima and adiabatic compressibility shows a corresponding minima as a function of concentration for these mixtures. These, in turn, are used to study the solute–solute interaction and the possibility of complex formation between unlike molecules of naphthols and triethylamine through intermolecular hydrogen bonding. The hydrogen bond is formed between hydrogen atom of naphthols and nitrogen atom of triethylamine molecule. The result obtained using infrared spectroscopy for both the systems also supports the existence of complex formation through intermolecular hydrogen bonding. 相似文献

The nickel(II) complex [Ni(en)2{N(CN)2}]ClO4 1 (en?=?ethylenediamine) has been synthesized and its structure determined. The complex forms a one-dimensional chain structure via the bidentate bridging ligand dicyanamide. A two-dimensional network is formed via interchain hydrogen-bond interactions. The magnetic properties of the compound (5–300?K) show the existence of weak antiferromagnetic exchange interactions between paramagnetic centers along chains. 相似文献

Two new hybrid compounds, [Cu(1)(phen)(H2O)][Cu(2)(phen)(H2O)]([Cu(3)]0.25(H2O)][P2Mo5O23]·3.75H2O (1) and [Cu(en)2]1.5[P2Mo5O23]2·(enH2)3·2H2O (2) (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, en = ethylenediamine), have been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by IR, UV–Vis spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), powder XRD analyses, TG analyses, cyclic voltammogram analyses, elemental analyses, and single crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Single crystal X-ray diffraction analyses reveal that the two compounds have a 1-D chain structure formed by Strandberg-type POMs and TMCs with –A–B–C–B–A–B–C–B– linking mode, then further extend into a 2-D layer structure through π?π or hydrogen bond interactions. 相似文献

A comparative study of our established synthetic approaches to hexasubsituted triphenylenes 2,3-dicarboxylic esters containing four identical β-alkoxy and two adjacent β-alkoxycarbonyl side chains shows that the phase behaviours of small-sized discotic liquid crystals can be tailored over a wide range by simply varying the length of the peripheral alkyl chains. All the prepared esters in two series were observed to form a single hexagonal columnar phase, except for Tp4-1 having four β-butyloxy and two adjacent β-methoxycarbonyl chains which displays two columnar mesophase behaviours with a transition from the columnar plastic phase to hexagonal columnar phase. A significant difference between the two mesophase was observed in the variable temperature X-ray diffraction studies, and the mesophase assignment was also confirmed by polarising optical microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. Moreover, the prepared esters in each series display the general trend of decreasing clearing temperature upon increasing alkoxy or alkoxycarbonyl chains length. The intermediate triphenylene 2,3-dicarboxylic acids were also found not only to exhibit columnar hexagonal mesophase over a narrower temperature range by maintaining high melting and clearing points but also to form organogel on mixing with toluene or dichloromethane with the assistance of hydrogen bonding. 相似文献
