Three density-functional methods (B3P86, B3PW91, and B3LYP) are employed to investigate the O–NO2 bond lengths, frontier orbital energies, and O–NO2 bond dissociation energies (BDEs) of n-propyl nitrate (NPN), isopropyl nitrate (IPN), 2-ethylhexyl nitrate (EHN), triethylene glycol dinitrate (Tri-EGDN), and tetraethylene glycol dinitrate (Tetra-EGDN). It is found that the O–NO2 bond lengthens (destabilizes) in the order of IPN, NPN, EHN, Tetra-EGDN, and Tri-EGDN. From the data of frontier orbital energies (EHOMO, ELUMO), and energy gaps (ΔE), we estimate the relative thermal stability ordering of five nitrates and their corresponding radicals. The predicted BDEs of O–NO2 bond in NPN, IPN, EHN, Tri-EGDN, and Tetra-EGDN, are 176.6, 174.5, 168.1, 156.1, and 159.3 kJ mol−1, respectively. Based on the finding that the present results of BDEs are well coincident with the experimental results of apparent activation energies from the literature, we can draw a conclusion that the experimental thermolysis of five nitrates is only unimolecular homolytical cleavage of the O–NO2 bonds.  相似文献

Orbital relaxation (OR) amounts to variation of the orbital exponents in hydrogen molecules and ions relative to the exponents of the isolated atom; it is represented as the sum of the one- and two-center contributions depending on the effective atomic charge and on the presence of other atoms in the molecule. The procedure for isolating the contributions of the exponent includes treatment of the OR of hydrogen in a special set of neutral and charged atoms and molecules with certain multiplicities of their electronic states. Within the framework of the spin-unrestricted Hartree-Fock method, we found and discussed the optimal values of the exponents of the basis orbitals of hydrogen atoms and molecules using the minimal split valence-shell basis set, the basis set that includes the polarization function, and the expanded set of grouped natural orbitals. A simple energy model is suggested for OR. Expressions are derived for evaluating the exponents of the relaxed orbitals in hydrogen-containing systems.Original Russian Text Copyright © 2004 by A. I. Summary Intermolecular interactions between the solute and the moieties constituting the mobile phase significantly contribute to the overall retention pattern of a given solute in a given chromatographic system. In this paper retention of solute is discussed in the case of the B+AB1+AB2 type mobile phase, which, in a quasithermodynamic way, can be divided into seven individual moieties. One evaluates the influence of each moiety on solute retention, and refers these regularities to the polarity of the solutes.  相似文献

Rheological properties of hydrophobically modified copolymer of SO2, N,N-diallyl-N-carboethoxymethylammonium chloride and the hydrophobic monomer N,N-diallyl-N-octadecylammonium chloride were studied. The influence of hydrophobe content (HP) and polymer concentration was investigated. Polymers with HP content in the range 1.5-5% were examined and the concentration was varied in the range 2-5 wt%. Both dynamic and steady-shear experiments were performed in ARES rheometer. Copolymers were observed to exhibit typical viscoelastic behavior even with low HP content. Both the dynamic viscosity, η′ and storage modulus, G′, increase with the increase of both the polymer concentration and the HP content of the system. The viscosity of the high HP content polymer showed a strong shear dependency, while G′ was a weak function of frequency and gel-like behavior was observed. The zero-shear viscosity, η0, showed a strong concentration dependency (η0 ∼ ?α; 1.1 < α < 5.9). The concentration dependency of η0 suggests that intermolecular association is dominant in the high HP content polymer. Control of the HP content and polymer concentration of this class of polymers can lead to a wide range of interesting rheological properties.  相似文献

The crystal and molecular structures of the products of the halogenation of the dimorpholide of ethoxyvinylphosphonic acid were determined by the method of x-ray structure analysis. It was established that (dimorpholinophosphoryl)chloroacetaldehyde only exists in the crystals as the Z-enol [(Z)-1-hydroxy-2-(dimorpholinophosphoryl)-2-chloroethene] with intra- and intermolecular H-bonds (=CH...O=P and OH...O=P). The (dimorpholinophosphoryl)dibromomethane forms centrosymmetric eight-membered cyclic dimers in the crystals due to intermolecular CH...O=P H-bonds. The chemical reactions and kinetics of the catalytic coupling reaction of carbon monoxide to diethyl oxalate were studied in the presence of hydrogen over a supported palladium catalyst in the gaseous phase at the typical coupling reaction conditions. The experiments were performed in a continuous flow fixed-bed reactor. The results indicated that hydrogen only reacts with ethyl nitrite to form ethanol, and kinetic studies revealed that the rate-determining step is the surface reaction of adsorbed hydrogen and the ethoxy radical (EtO-). A kinetic model is proposed and a comparison of the observed and calculated conversions showed that the rate expressions are of rather high confidence.  相似文献

Changes in the hybrid state of atomic orbitals of nitrogen and p-character of LEP, which occur under the effect of saturated hydrocarbon radicals and polar substituents in aliphatic amines, differ substantially. Therefore, the effect of the both substituents on the basicity constants of amines cannot be described by the single formal type of interaction. The anomalous changes in the basicity in the series of primary, secondary, and tertiary alkylamines, which are discussed in the literature, and the correlations pK BH+ = f(*) and G B = f(*) are, in fact, imaginary, because the alkyl radicals at the N atom do not manifest the electron-donor properties.  相似文献

Crystals of 4(C2H5)4N+F · 11H2O are orthorhombic, space groupPna21, witha=16.130(3),b=16.949(7),c=17.493(7) Å, andZ=4. The structure was shown to be a clathrate hydrate containing infinite chains of edge-sharing (H2O)4F tetrahedra extending parallel to thea axis. The chains are laterally linked by bridging water molecules to form a three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded anion/water framework. The ordered (C2H5)4N+ cations occupy the voids in two open channel systems running in theb andc directions. FinalR F =0.091 for 2278 observed MoK data measured at 22°C. An unequivocal synthesis of 5-chloro-7-methyl- (8) and 7-methyl-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine (10) from 2-amino-4-chloro-6-methylpyrimidine (5) through the corresponding amidine6 and formamide oxime7 was developed. It was unambigously shown by comparison of the chemical shifts and the magnitude of coupling constants that the compounds obtained by condensation of 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole (12) and ethyl acetoacetate (13) and some further transformations are isomeric 5-methyl substituted 1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines1,9, and11.

Zusammenfassung Es wurde ein eindeutiger Syntheseweg für 5-Chlor-7-methyl- (8) und 7-Methyl-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin (10) ausgehend von 2-Amino-4-chlor-6-methylpyrimidin (5) über das entsprechende Amidin6 und das Formamidoxim7 entwickelt. Durch Vergleich von chemischen Verschiebungen und Kopplungskonstanten konnte eindeutig gezeigt werden, daß die Verbindungen, die bei der Kondensation von 3-Amino-1,2,4-triazol (12) and Ethylacetoacetat (13), sowie einige weitere Transformationsprodukte, isomere 5-Methylsubstituierte 1,2,4-Triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine sind (1,9,11).

The analysis of the effect of the solvents on the proton chemical shifts in1H NMR spectra of 2-vinyloxypyridine indicates that the C—H...N interaction of weak intramolecular hydrogen bond type hinders the formation of intermolecular hydrogen C—H...X and C-H... bonds.
