Interactions of α-cyclodextrin (α-CD) with dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine (DMPC) and Egg phosphatidylcholine (Egg-PC) were studied (i) by analyzing surface
pressure-area isotherms and surface tension of phospholipid monolayers formed at the interface between air and α-CD aqueous solutions and (ii) by X-ray diffraction performed on fully hydrated α-CD/phospholipid binary mixtures. The cyclodextrin molecules strongly interact with the two-dimension phospholipid assembly.
Their addition into the aqueous sub-phase leads to the removal of part of the phospholipids from the air-water interface:
the higher the α-CD concentration, the higher the phospholipid depletion. This should preferentially involve interactions between cyclodextrin
and the phosphatidylcholine head group as α-CD is water-soluble and not surface-active. At the three-dimension level, the bilayer packing of the phospholipid lamellar
phase appears not affected by the presence of cyclodextrin as shown by X-ray scattering at small angles whereas wide-angle
diffraction patterns reveal the formation of a crystalline phase organized in a pseudo-hexagonal lattice usually characteristic
of α-CD dimers. These results point out that α-CD should interact with bilayer-forming phospholipid molecules but likely according to a process that would preserve intact

The electrochemical behavior and the interaction of alizarin red S (ARS) with calf thymus DNA was investigated on a bare glassy carbon electrode (GCE) and DNA modified GCE (DNA/GCE), respectively. ARS showed a pair of redox peaks at ?0.445 V and ?0.414 V on a bare GCE. On addition of DNA into the ARS solution, the peak current of ARS decreased and the peak potential positively shifted, but without new redox peaks appeared. The ARS reduction peak current increased with immersion time on a DNA/GCE. The results showed that ARS could interact with DNA molecules by intercalative binding mode. The equilibrium constant, binding number and the ratio of binding constant for oxidized and reduced ARS forms were obtained. The DNA damage was directly detected by appearance of guanosine and adenosine bases oxidation signal. The influence of experimental conditions on DNA damage extent was discussed in detail. 相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of binuclear ruthenium complexes [{(η6-C6H6)Ru}2(μ-bsh)2] (1), [{(η6-C10H14)Ru}2(μ-bsh)2] (2), [{(η6-C6Me6)Ru}2(μ-bsh)2] (3), and rhodium complex [{(η5-C5Me5)RhCl}2(μ-bsh)] (4) (bsh=N,N′-bis(salicylidine)-hydrazine dianion) are reported. The complexes have been fully characterized by analytical and spectral techniques and unusual coordination mode of the ligand H2bsh has been confirmed by single crystal X-ray analysis of the complex 2. Structural data revealed extensive inter- and intra-molecular C-H?O and C-H?π interactions and involvement of methyl and isopropyl hydrogen from the p-cymene in hydrogen bonding. 相似文献

Interactions between two negatively charged mica surfaces across aqueous solutions containing various amounts of a 10% charged cationic polyelectrolyte have been studied. It is found that the mica surface charge is neutralized when the polyelectrolyte is adsorbed from a 10–50 ppm aqueous solution. Consequently no electrostatic double-layer force is observed. Instead an attractive force acts between the surfaces in the distance regime 250–100 Å. We suggest that this attraction is caused by bridging. Additional adsorption takes place when the polyelectrolyte concentration is increased to 100 and 300 ppm, and a long-range repulsion develops. This repulsive force is both of electrostatic and steric origin. The polyelectrolyte layer adsorbed from a 50 ppm solution does not desorb when the polyelectrolyte solution is replaced with an aqueous polyelectrolyte-free solution. Injection of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) into the measuring chamber to a concentration of about 0.01 CMC (8.3 × 10−5M) does not affect the adsorbed layers or the interaction forces. However, when the SDS concentration is increased to 0.02 CMC (0.166 mM) the adsorbed layer expands dramatically due to adsorption of SDS to the polyelectrolyte chains. The sudden swelling suggests a cooperative adsorption of SDS to the preadsorbed polyelectrolyte layer and that the critical aggregation concentration between the polyelectrolyte and SDS at the surface is about 0.02 CMC. The flocculation behavior of the polyelectrolyte in solution upon addition of SDS was also examined. It was found that 0.16–0.32 mol SDS/mol charged segments on the polyelectrolyte is enough to make the solution slightly turbid. 相似文献

The viscosity deviation (Δη), the excess molar volume (V
E) and the ultrasonic speed (u) have been investigated from viscosity (η) and density (ρ ) measurements of binary liquid mixtures of 1,2-dimethyoxyethane with methanol, ethanol, propan-1-ol, butan-1-ol,
pentan-1-ol, hexan-1-ol or octan-1-ol over the entire range of composition at 298.15 K. The excess volumes are negative over
the entire range of composition for all of the mixtures with the exception of hexan-1-ol and octan-1-ol. The excess isentropic

E) and viscosity deviations are negative for all of the mixtures. The magnitudes of the negative values of V
E decrease with the number of carbon atoms of the alkan-1-ol. The trend of increasing K

The reactions between strontium and iron nitrates have been studied in an open atmosphere system using three different molar ratios, 1:1 (I), 1:2 (II) and 2:1 (III) at different temperatures as pointed out from the DTA data. The reaction mechanism was discussed based on the chemical composition characterized by means of thermal analysis, X‐ray diffraction patterns, infrared spectra and magnetic susceptibility. It was found that the reaction products depend on both temperature of reaction and the ratio between reactants. The reaction products were found to be composed of a variety of iron compounds that possess different valences: SrFeO2.86, SrFeO2.97, SrFe2O4, SrFe12O19, Sr2Fe2O5 and Sr7Fe10O22 in addition to some accessory reaction products namely α‐Fe2O3 and FeO(OH). 相似文献

The phonon dispersion curves, phonon frequency distribution function as well as the lattice specific heat of body-centred
tetragonal indium have been deduced using a lattice dynamical model which includes central, angular and volume forces. Six
elastic constants, four zone boundary frequencies and an equilibrium condition were used in the evaluation of the force constants.
It is shown that this model is elastically consistent and satisfies the symmetry requirements of the lattice, the phonon frequencies
of indium deduced from it are in very good agreement with the experimental values of Reichardt and Smith and the theoretical
values of Garrett and Swihart, and theθ
D values compare well with the experimental values over a wide temperature range. The apparent discrepancies in the phonon

The system containing six benzylideneanilines (BA) has been studied: Group 1:
The crystal structures of Group 1 are isostructural. They crystallize in a monoclinic cell, space groupP21. They are rare examples of planar benzylideneanilines in a nondisordered crystal structure. The crystal structures exhibit an intermolecular ring containing five atoms and hal- - - hal. C-H- - - hal interactions, which may contribute to the planarity of the molecule. The structures in Group 2 crystallize in a monoclinic cell, space groupP21/c. The conformation is nonplanar and there are no intermolecular halogen- - -halogen interactions. The abovementioned five atom pattern ring does not occur in these structures. These two groups of structures show that the type and mode of molecular substitution can lead to specific intermolecular interactions which in turn stabilize an otherwise unfavorable molecular conformation. 相似文献
