Rigidity of Branch Groups Acting on Rooted Trees

Automorphisms of groups acting faithfully on rooted trees are studied. We find conditions under which every automorphism of such a group is induced by a conjugation from the full automorphism group of the rooted tree. These results are applied to known examples such as Grigorchuk groups, Gupta–Sidki group, etc.     

Modulation of Particle Concentrations in the Interference Laser Radiation Field

Spatial redistribution of microparticles in a suspension on exposure to the interference laser field depending on the parameters of the particles and the field characteristics has been analyzed theoretically. Results of experimental investigations are presented that illustrate the capture of an ensemble of polymeric small spheres and also of the lymphocytes of human blood and other microparticles in a liquid in the interference radiation bands of the He–Ne laser.

Space–Time Chaos,Critical Phenomena,and Bifurcations of Solutions of Infinite-Dimensional Systems of Ordinary Differential Equations

We study infinite-dimensional systems of ordinary differential equations having applications in some popular and important physical problems. The appearance of infinite-dimensional space–time chaos is considered, namely, the bifurcations and critical phenomena that occur in the phase space of the systems and explain some physical problems are described.

介绍了量子绝热定理的物理含义及成立的条件，认为有关主要献（Aharonov-Anandan,Bohm，孙昌璞等）的表述是正确的，而《关于量子几何相位的评注》^[1]（以下简称《评注》）相应的表述不完全正确。在此基础上，认为这些献和教材（R.Shankar)得出的涉及Berry绝热相位的一些论述（不含Berry绝热相因子的瞬时能量本征态不满足含时Schroedinger方程等）也是正确的，而《评注》的论述与此相反。《评注》认为只有γn(C)才是Berry相位。本作则倾向于把γn（t）叫做Berry绝热相位，而把γn（C）=γn（T）-γn（0）叫做几何相位（geometric phase)^[2]。     

Current and shot noise in two capacitively coupled single electron transistors with an atomic sized spacer

The currents and their fluctuations in two capacitively coupled single electron transistors are determined in the limit of sequential tunnelling. Our considerations are restricted to the case when the islands (dots) of the transistors are atomic-sized, which means each of them has only one single electronic level available for the tunnelling processes. The Coulomb interactions of accumulated charges on the both single electron transistors lead to the effect of the negative differential resistance. An enhancement of the current shot-noise was also found. Spectral decomposition analysis indicated the two main contributions to the shot-noise: low- and high-frequency fluctuations. It was found that the low frequency fluctuations (polarization noise) are responsible for a strong enhancement of the current noise. Anharmonic effects in large-amplitude vibrations of metal clusters

Two types of extreme collective motion, large-amplitude many-phonon vibration of the ionic core and rotation of the cluster with high angular momenta, are considered. The interplay between vibration and collective motion towards fission is discussed. A new mechanism of formation and rupture of the neck is proposed which is based on the Franck-Condon principle, and accounts for the interplay between vibration and fission. Under rotation, the change of the shape of the cluster and a phase transition from axially symmetric to triaxial ellipsoid are predicted. For studying the effects, vibrational motion can be induced by laser radiation. Rotational motion may arise in collisions of clusters.
