Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are widely used as porous materials in the fields of adsorption and separation. However, their practical application is largely hindered by limitations to their processability. Herein, new UiO‐66‐Urea‐based flexible membranes with MOF loadings of 50 ( 1 ), 60 ( 2 ), and 70 wt % ( 3 ) were designed and prepared by post‐synthetic polymerization of UiO‐66‐NH2 nanoparticles and a polyurethane oligomer under mild conditions. The adsorption behavior of membrane 3 towards four hydrophilic dyes, namely, eosin Y (EY), rhodamine B (RB), malachite green (MG), and methylene blue (MB), in aqueous solution was studied in detail. It exhibits strong adsorption of EY and RB but weak adsorption of MG and MB in aqueous solution. Owing to the selective adsorption of these hydrophilic dyes, membrane 3 can remove EY and RB from aqueous solution and completely separate EY/MB, RB/MG, and RB/MB mixtures in aqueous solution. In addition, the membrane is uniformly textured, easily handled, and can be reused for dye adsorption and separation.  相似文献

The optical properties of a series of three cyclophanes comprising either identical or different perylene bisimide (PBI) chromophores were studied by UV/Vis absorption spectroscopy and their distinctive spectral features were analyzed. All the investigated cyclophanes show significantly different absorption features with respect to the corresponding constituent PBI monomers indicating strong coupling interactions between the PBI units within the cyclophanes. DFT calculations suggest a π‐stacked arrangement of the PBI units at close van der Waals distance in the cyclophanes with rotational displacement. Simulations of the absorption spectra based on time‐dependent quantum mechanics properly reproduced the experimental spectra, revealing exciton‐vibrational coupling between the chromophores both in homo‐ and heterodimer stacks. The PBI cyclophane comprising two different PBI chromophores represents the first example of a PBI heterodimer stack for which the exciton coupling has been investigated. The quantum dynamics analysis reveals that exciton coupling in heteroaggregates is indeed of similar strength as for homoaggregates.  相似文献

Fluorescence spectroscopy and microscopy are powerful techniques to detect dynamic properties in artificial and natural lipid membrane systems. Unfortunately, most fluorescent dyes that sense dynamically relevant membrane parameters are UV sensitive. Their major disadvantage is a high susceptibility to fluorescence bleaching. Additionally, the risk for hazardous damages in biological components generally increases with decreasing excitation wavelength. Therefore the use of non-UV–sensitive membrane dyes would provide significant advantage, particularly for applications in fluorescence microscopy, which usually implies high local excitation intensities. We applied steady-state fluorescence spectroscopy techniques to several UV and non-UV membrane dyes to detect and compare dynamically relevant excitation and emission characteristics. Small unilamellar liposomes (composed of egg yolk phosphatidylcholine) served as a model system for biological membranes. The dynamic properties of the membranes were varied by two independent parameters: the intrinsic cholesterol content (0–50 mol%) and temperature (10–50°C). We tested four non-UV–sensitive membrane dyes: 9-diethylamino-5H-benzophenoxazine-5-one (Nile Red), 4-(dicyanovinyl)julolidine (DCVJ), N-(3-triethylammoniumpropyl)-4-(4-(dibutylamino)styryl) pyridinium dibromide (FM 4-64), and 1,1-dioctadecyl-3,3,3,3-tetramethylindocarbocyanine perchlorate (DiIC18). We also tested three derivatives of DiIC18: DiIC16 and DiIC12 differ in acyl chain length and Fast-DiIC18 provides double bonds between hydrocarbon atoms. The spectral results were compared to established fluorescence characteristics of four UV membrane dyes: the anisotropy of 1-6-phenyl-1,3,5,-hexatrien (DPH), two derivatives of DPH (TMA-DPH and COO-DHP), and the generalized polarization of 6-dodecanoyl-2-dimethyl-aminonaphthalene (Laurdan). Our results indicate that the tested non-UV dyes do not reveal dynamically relevant membrane parameters in a direct manner. However, spectral characteristics make DiIC18, Nile Red, and DCVJ promising probes for the microscopic detection of lateral lipid organization, an indirect indicator of membrane dynamics. In particular, DiIC18 showed very selective shifts in the emission spectra at defined temperatures and cholesterol contents that have not been reported elsewhere.  相似文献

We investigated the incorporation efficiencies of different fluorescently labelled dNTPs with polymerases by complementary strand synthesis. For this reason single stranded DNA was immobilized on a coverslip and the increase of fluorescence due to the synthesis of the corresponding strand with tagged dNTPs was detected with a supercritical angle fluorescence biosensor in real-time. By comparison of the observed signal intensities it was possible to conclude that the system Cy5-dCTP-Klenow (exonuclease free) fragment gives the best incorporation yield of the investigated enzymes and dNTPs.  相似文献

The absorption and photoluminescence spectra as well as the photoluminescence lifetimes of laser dyes (Phenylamine 430, Rhodamine 6G, Rhodamine 6G zwitterion, Rhodamine 4C, and Rhodamine 101) in new matrices are studied. These matrices represent the hybrid of two types of porous glasses (microporous and sol-gel glass). Chemical transformations of the dye molecules in the matrices are not found. The dye dimers mentioned above are also absent for concentrations up to 10-4 M. The luminescence efficiencies of the dyes in the matrix and in the ethanol solutions are compared. The difference in concentration dependences of the photoluminescence spectrum of Rhodamine 6G in the matrix and ethanol solution is found and discussed. The collective emission of the dyes in new matrices is observed at a power density of exciting radiation of 1025 cm-2s-1 and a concentration of 10-4 M. The energies and collective emission spectra of the dyes in the matrix are compared with those in the solutions.  相似文献

Measurements for determining of the path of groundwater migration remain an important tool in the overall assessment of environmental processes and transport of pollutants. This paper examines a multiwavelength laser for the determination of eosin, a groundwater tracer, using capillary electrophoresis/laser-induced fluorescence (CE-LIF) at excitation wavelength 514.5 nm. Eosin was one of four dyes used in a study of adjacent resource conservation and recovery act (RCRA) and Superfund sites (created by the comprehensive environmental response, compensation, and liability act) that routinely relied on spectrofluorimetry for determination as we have previously reported. However, the improved specificity of CE-LIF is further illustrated in this work applied to the analysis of adsorbent pads placed in monitoring wells after dye injection and flushing from injection wells. The multiwavelength laser provided the capability to analyze for several dyes with one laser. The advantages/disadvantages of CE-LIF versus spectrofluorimetry are discussed. Spectrofluorimetry is fast and sensitive and will likely continue to be the primary workhorse technique. CE-LIF could provide confirmation when greater specificity is needed in a regulatory context.  相似文献

Functional organic dyes have promising prospect in dye-sensitized solar cells as a crucial element, of which sensitizers based on donor-π-acceptor are the most important dyes. On the basis of the structures of the aromatic amine donors such as triphenylamine and indoline, this paper reviews the photoelectric conversion properties of organic sensitizers since 2008, and highlights research work in our laboratory in this area.  相似文献

Different kinds of porous organic polymers (POPs) bearing 4,4‐difluoro‐4‐bora‐3a,4a‐diaza‐s‐indacene (BDP) fluorophores have been developed to generate singlet oxygen upon light illumination. Herein, four imine‐linked POPs were prepared by copolymerization of amine and aldehyde with different ratios of di‐aldehyde A1 and A2. The POPs were investigated by a combination of techniques such as solid 13C NMR, FTIR, and nitrogen absorption–desorption isotherms and electronic microscopy. The results demonstrated that these POPs were prone to form hierarchical porous architectures. Scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy images revealed that the spherical morphologies showed different roughness, that is, BDP‐POPs with more BDP aldehyde A2 presented rougher surface. Finally, these POPs were used to generate singlet oxygen (1O2) monitored by 1,3‐diphenylisobenzofuran and bioimaging in HeLa cells.
