The nature and strength of metal–ligand bonds in organotransition‐metal complexes are crucial to the understanding of organometallic reactions and catalysis. Quantum chemical calculations at different levels of theory have been used to investigate heterolytic Fe–N bond energies of para‐substituted anilinyldicarbonyl(η5‐cyclopentadienyl)iron [p‐G‐C6H4NH(η5‐C5H5)Fe(CO)2, abbreviated as p‐G‐C6H4NHFp (1), where G = NO2, CN, COMe, CO2Me, CF3, Br, Cl, F, H, Me, MeO, and NMe2] and para‐substituted α‐acetylanilinyldicarbonyl(η5‐cyclopentadienyl)iron [p‐G‐C6H4N(COMe)(η5‐C5H5)Fe(CO)2, abbreviated as p‐G‐C6H4N(COMe)Fp (2)] complexes. The results show that BP86 and TPSSTPSS can provide the best price/performance ratio and more accurate predictions in the study of ΔHhet(Fe–N)'s. The linear correlations [r = 0.98 (g, 1a), 0.93 (g, 2b)] between the substituent effects of heterolytic Fe–N bond energies [ΔΔHhet(Fe–N)'s] of series 1 and 2 and the differences of acidic dissociation constants (ΔpKa) of N–H bonds of p‐G‐C6H4NH2 and p‐G‐C6H4NH(COMe) imply that the governing structural factors for these bond scissions are similar. And the linear correlations [r = ?0.99 (g, 1c), ?0.92 (g, 2d)] between ΔΔHhet(Fe–N)'s and the substituent σp? constants show that these correlations are in accordance with Hammett linear free energy relationships. The polar effects of these substituents and the basis set effects influence the accuracy of ΔHhet(Fe–N)'s. ΔΔHhet(Fe–N)'s(1, 2) follow the captodative principle. MEα‐COMe, para‐Gs include the influences of the whole molecules. The correlation of MEα‐COMe, para‐Gs with σp? is excellent. MEα‐COMe, para‐Gs rather than ΔΔHhet(Fe–N)'s in series 2 are more suitable indexes for the overall substituent effects on ΔHhet(Fe–N)'s(2). The article describes the syntheses and extraction properties of two p‐tert‐butylcalix[6]arene nitrile derivatives (3 and 4). The trinitrile derivative 3 has been synthesized from 5,11,17,23,29,35‐hexa‐tert‐butyl‐37,38,39,40,41,42‐hexahydroxycalix[6]arene 1. The compound 1 was directly converted to its hexanitrile derivative 4. In these syntheses, it was thought to explore the role of nitrile sites in the extraction of various metal cations and HCr2O7 ?/Cr2O7 2? anions. The liquid‐liquid extraction properties of 3 and 4 towards selected alkali/transition metal cations and HCr2O7 ?/Cr2O7 2? anions are reported. It has been observed that receptor 3 does not extract alkali/transition metal cations effectively, but shows affinity towards HCr2O7 ?/Cr2O7 2? anions at low pH. The compound 4 is an effective form for transferring Ni2+ selectively, while it shows poor transferring ability for HCr2O7 ?/Cr2O7 2? anions from an aqueous into a dichloromethane layer. It was observed that the cavity size of the calix[n]arenes and the cooperativity of the functionalities play important roles in two phase extraction systems.  相似文献

The synthesis and anion binding studies of the new neutral receptor 1,1′-(2,2′-(4,10-dimethyl-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1,7-diyl)bis(2-oxoethane-2,1-diyl))bis(3-(3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)urea) (L1) are reported. L1 is a macrocyclic ligand containing the 3,5-trifluoromethylphenylureido-binding fragment attached as a side arm on the tetraazacyclododecane. L1 is soluble in numerous organic solvents; the binding properties of L1 towards several simple anions (G) were investigated by NMR, UV–vis and fluorescence techniques in DMSO and CH3CN solutions. L1 is able to bind F, Cl and AcO in both solvents; in addition, it binds Br in CH3CN. Fluoride shows the highest constant values in the halide series (F > Cl > Br) and AcO is the most strongly bound among all the anions investigated. L1 is able to signal the presence of the anions in solution by fluorescence change; in the case of acetate, this occurs in the visible range.  相似文献

Various anion exchange membranes containing the 4,4′-bipyridine moiety as anion exchange groups were prepared from membranous copolymers of chloromethylstyrene and divinylbenzene and membranes of chloromethylated polysulfone and 4,4′-bipyridine. After evaluating the electrochemical properties of the obtained anion exchange membranes, the effect of membrane species on the generation of a photovoltage was examined by irradiation using a xenon lamp. The membranes swelled with ethylene glycol were clamped between two ITO electrodes and sealed by adhesive. The generated photovoltage and photocurrent from about a 120 μm thick membrane were about 80 mV and 400 nA, respectively, in a 200K Ω load resistance, though dependent of membrane species. The voltage decreased with increasing crosslinking by the divinylbenzene in the copolymer membranes. The effect of counter ion species on the voltage was examined and a chloride ion form of membrane showed the highest photovoltage. The membranes with different thicknesses, which were prepared from polysulfone derivatives, were evaluated and the voltage decreased with decreasing thickness. Even a porous membrane from polysulfone derivatives showed a photovoltage though a porous membrane in which a methyl viologen ethylene glycol solution had been impregnated did not have a stable voltage. Also, the anion exchange membrane containing the benzyl trimethylammonium moiety, which is the conventional anion exchange groups, did not show a high and stable photovoltage upon photoirradiation. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Alkaline stable anion exchange membranes based on the cross-linked poly(arylene ether sulfone) grafted with dual quaternary piperidine (XPAES-DP) units were synthesized. The chemical structure of the synthesized PAES-DP was validated using 1H-NMR and FT-IR spectroscopy. The physicochemical, thermal, and mechanical properties of XPAES-DP membranes were compared with those of two linear PAES based membranes grafted with single piperidine (PAES-P) unit and conventional trimethyl amine (PAES-TM). XPAES-DP membrane showed the ionic conductivity of 0.021 S cm−1 at 40 °C which was much higher than that of PAES-P and PAES-TM because of the possession of more quaternary ammonium groups in the cross-linked structure. This cross-linked structure of the XPAES-DP membrane resulted in a higher tensile strength of 18.11 MPa than that of PAES-P, 17.09 MPa. In addition, as the XPAES-DP membrane shows consistency in the ionic conductivity even after 96 h in 3 M KOH solution with a minor change, its chemical stability was assured for the application of anion exchange membrane fuel cell. The single-cell assembled with XPAES-DP membrane displayed a power density of 109 mWcm−2 at 80 °C under 100% relative humidity.  相似文献
