1) are nearly degenerate, their vertical excitation energies being predicted to be 4.8 eV. The isomerization path is traced by the CASSCF procedure and the activation barrier height is evaluated by the CI treatment. HNO2 in its ground state isomerizes totrans-HONO by maintaining the planar (C
s-symmetric) structure. The activation energy is calculated to be 171 kJ/mol, which is clearly lower than the calculated H-N bond energy (253 kJ/mol). Sulfated zirconia catalysts were prepared by sol-gel process using a new method allowing the control of the hydrolysis step
of zirconium alkoxides. Prepared samples were characterized by N2 adsorption (desorption) at 77 K, XRD, chemical analysis of total sulfur and XPS. Catalytic properties have been evaluated
in n-butane and n-hexane isomerization reactions. Obtained results show that time necessary for gelation is significant and
depends considerably on the nature of the zirconium precursor. Concerning the properties of the solids obtained by this method,
it has been noted that the use of the zirconium propoxide led to a better retention of the sulfate species, which improves
activity during isomerization reactions. It has been found also that an initial S/Zr molar ratio equal to 0.5 allowed to obtain

Aldehyde-2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazones exist as (E)- and (Z)-geometrical isomers, and adventitious isomerization during sample preparation can cause analytical errors. Purified alkenal-2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone derivatives comprise only the (E)-isomer. However, partial isomerization to the (Z)-isomer occurs upon addition of acid to attain an equilibrium isomer ratio. The UV-visible spectral properties of the isomers differ; the (Z)-isomer exhibiting a 6-10 nm lower absorption maximum compared to the (E)-isomer. Alkenal-2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazones having a CC double bond at the 2- or 3-position of the alkenal exhibited similar absorption maxima with an equilibrium isomer ratio (0.035) that was much lower than those of other alkenals. The CC double bond at the 3-position migrates to a position of conjugation with the CN double bond during hydrazone synthesis to form a stabilized molecular structure. Alkenal-2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazones having a double bond at the 4-position or greater exhibited a similar absorption maxima equilibrium isomer ratio (0.14) to alkanal-2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazones. The quantitative analysis of carbonyl compounds in air or water using DNPH is usually conducted in the presence of an acid catalyst. Preparation, Characterization and Catalytic Properties of S2O8^2-/ZrO2 Supported by Tungsten Carbide

A WC-supported S2O8^2-/ZrO2(PSZ) catalyst was prepared and characterized by means of XRD, BET, FTIR and XPS. The isomerization of n-pentane over the catalyst was investigated as well. The results show that the skeletal isomerization and the crack of n-pentane proceed simultaneously on WC-supported S2O8^2-/ZrO2 catalyst. The addition of tungsten carbide showed a significant enhancement in the activity and stability of the catalyst for n-pentane isomerization. The catalyst showed evidently a better activity than S2O8^2-/ZrO2 supported by Pt and WO3. The results can be interpreted by the existence of the tungsten oxycarbide compound(WCxOy) with carbidic, oxide and acidic sites. 相似文献
