ABSTRACTCo-crystallization frequently employs forces such as hydrogen bonds, halogen bonds, and π-π stacking to assemble molecules in a multi-component crystal. In an effort to increase the strength of the intermolecular interaction between the anti-cholesterol drug bezafibrate (BEZA), a wastewater contaminant, and hydrogen-bond-acceptor molecules, we modified the pKa values of the acceptors. Here, we describe the first series of salts incorporating BEZA and achieve a variety of supramolecular architectures including discrete assemblies, 1D chains, tapes, and 2D sheets. We discuss exceptions to the pKa rule, and demonstrate that the presence of hydrogen-bond-donor atoms on the acceptor molecule supports salt formation. 相似文献

The crystalline host–guest type complex [(18-crown-6NH4)2][SiF6]4H2Ohas been obtained as the result of the interaction of SiF42NH3 with 18-crown-6 (18C6) in an aqueous medium. Crystal data: monoclinic, space groupC 2 c, a=26.541(2), b=8.363(2), c=20.469(2) Å, = 122.43(1)°and Z=4. The final R-value is 0.070 for 3253 reflections with I 2(I).The crystals consist of the complex [NH418C6]+ cations, [SiF6]2-anions and water molecules. The ammonium cation is hydrogen bonded by three of its H-atoms to the crown ether oxygen atoms with N(1) O separations2.923(5)–2.940(5) Å and by the fourth H-atom to the fluorine atom of thehexafluorosilicate anion, the N(1)F(4) distance being 2.797(6) Å.The conformation of the macrocycle and the hydrogen-bond geometry in thecomplex cation closely resemble those in related adducts between 18-crown-6and ammonium salts. The mixed aqueous electrolyte system of ammonium and lithium chlorides has been studied by the hygrometric method at 25°C. The relative humidities of this system are measured at total molalities from 0.3 to 6 mol-kg– 1 for different ionic-strength fractions y of NH4Cl with y = 0.33, 0.50, and 0.67. The data obtained allow the deduction of new water activities and osmotic coefficients. The experimental results are compared with the predictions of the ECA (extended composed additivity) law proposed in our previous work. The Zdanovskii–Stokes–Robinson (ZSR), the Robinson–Stokes (RS), Reilly–Wood–Robinson (RWR), the Pitzer, and the Lietzke–Stoughton (LS II) models are also compared with our results. Predictions made using these models are, in general, consistent with our results. From these measurements, new Pitzer mixing ionic parameters are determined and used to predict the solute activity coefficients in the mixture for different ionic-strength fractions. 相似文献

The thermal decomposition of ammonium vanadyl oxalate supported on La2O3, MgO, SiO2, Al2O3, ZrO2, TiO2, SAPO-5, and ZSM-5 oxides in a dynamic atmosphere of dry air was compared by thermal gravimetric analysis (TG) and differential thermal analysis (DTA). The calcined catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffractometry (XRD). The TG and DTA results demonstrate that the surface acid-base properties of the oxides play a significant role in the decomposition behaviour of the supported ammonium vanadyl oxalate, i.e. the basic oxides exhibit an endothermic effect and the acidic oxides show an exothermic effect. Two mechanisms are suggested for thermal decomposition of ammonium vanadyl oxalate on basic and acidic oxides, respectively. After transformation of the ammonium vanadyl oxalate to vanadia, subsequent rearrangement of the vanadia on the surface of the supports was also observed. During the thermal treatment or calcination in air, solid state reactions of vanadia with the surface of oxides such as La2O3, ZrO2 and TiO2 took place to form new phases. 相似文献
