As an extension of previous reports, the barium carbonate procedure has been optimized in detail for the preparation of apolar columns. The aim was to produce optimum overall column characteristics, and to maintain them unchanged under the prolonged influence of the highest possible temperature. The main parameters under optimization were glass variety, leaching of glass surface with aqueous HCl, and amount of barium carbonate deposited, while deactivation and coating were kept constant. The basic column characteristics were adsorption properties and thermostability of deactivation, acid/base behaviour and separation efficiency. They were determined by a new, quantitative testing procedure. Intense leaching was able to eliminate almost totally the differences between glass varieties and to create a well-defined glass surface. While untreated glass, leached glass, and barium carbonate treated glass showed specific weak points in the respective column quality, the combination of leaching and barium carbonate treatment yielded the highest and most stable quality. Some technical modifications of the preparation procedure are described, including deactivation in the gas phase, and use of pentane as a solvent for static coating.  相似文献

The conformations and heats of formation of all trans(T)- and cis(C)-2- and 3-methyl-substituted T- and Cbicyclo[4.4.0]decanes (BD) were calculated by the MM2 method of molecular mechanics. It was shown that the conformationally mobile T-2-Me-CBD and T-3-Me-CBD can exist in normal conditions as an inseparable mixture of conformers with a different equatorial or axial orientation of the Me groups. The Raman scattering (RS) spectra of TBD and CBD were investigated. RS bands whose frequencies were sensitive to the type of ring linkage and orientation (but not the position) of the Me substituents were detected in the 700–300 cm–1 region.A. V. The potential energy hypersurface of the ground triplet states of the BNO-BON-NBO system has been investigated using traditional ab initio electronic structure theory. The molecules studied have the molecular formula BON and include three linear and three angular species, and two transition states for the isomerization of an angular N-B-O to an angular B-O-N and a linear B-NO, respectively. All stationary points on the BNO-BON-NBO isomerization potential energy surface have been characterized employing UMP2, UMP4, and Gaussian-2 (G2) theory with the 6-311G(d), 6-311G(2d), and TZ2P basis sets. The isomerization for an angular N-BO to the linear B-NO has a lower energy barrier than that of the former to an angular B-ON. Energetics are presented with G2 energies. Two sets of resonance structures for both bent B-NO (boron nitrosyl) and B-ON (boron isonitrosyl) were proposed and the bonding in the two species was analyzed. For the purpose of comparison, the density functional theory based hybrid methods B3LYP/6-311G(d) and B3LYP/TZ2P have also been applied to both geometry optimization and single-point calculations. It is found that the B3LYP prediction of the nature of the linear B-O is contradictory to that made by all MPn(n = 2 and 4) calculations. The cause for this contradiction is discussed.  相似文献

A novel path toS-(+)-hydroprene (1) starting from the technical gradeS-(+)-dihydromyrcene (2, e.e. 50%) is proposed. The latter was selectively transformed intoS-3,7-dimethyloctanal (5) in three steps including hydroalumination. The structure and relative stability of 1,4-dioxane-water, (Diox)n·(H2O )m (n = 1, 2, m = 1–6), molecular complexes have been calculated by semiempirical MNDO/PM3 method. A considerable variety of (Diox)n·(H2O )m isomeric structures was stated. The mean energy of ODiox…HW-OW hydrogen bond in (Diox)n·(H2O)m complexes formed by 1,4-dioxane molecules in the chair conformation amounts to ?2.293 ± 0.210 kcal/mol with the average bond length 2.797 0.015 Å.  相似文献

Being both nucleophilic and electrophilic, α-metalated isocyanides can add to polar double bonds, forming heterocycles. They are also synthons for α-metalated primary amines. This article describes recent or improved procedures for their use in organic synthesis: (1) In heterocyclic syntheses to give 2-oxazolines, 2-imidazolines, 2-thiazolines, oxazoles and oligooxazoles, thiazoles, triazoles, imidazolinones, pyrroles, 5,6-dihydro-1,3-oxazines and -thiazines, and (via cycloaddition with nitrones) 2-imidazolidinones. (2) In the field of formylaminomethylenation, for example transformation of estrone methyl ether and a keto sugar into the corresponding α-formylaminoacrylic esters, and the conversion of aldehydes and ketones by 3- and 4-pyridyl-methyl isocyanides into N-(1-pyridyl-1-alkenyl)formamides and their hydrolysis to 3- and 4-acylpyridines. (3) In connection with the use of α-metalated isocyanides as synthons for α-metalated primary amines, the author demonstrates how they may be used for preparation of 1,2- and 1,3-amino alcohols, 1,2-diamines, 2,3-diaminoalkanoic acids and for synthesis of higher amino acids starting from simple amino acids.  相似文献
