STUDY ON FLUORESCENCE BEHAVIOUR OF EU~(3+) CONTAINING POLY(METHYL METHACRYLATE)

Fluorimetry has been used to characterize ionomers synthesized by copolymerization ofmethyl mehacrylate, methacrylic acid and europium methacrylate (EMA). Under excita-tion of UV light at 375 nm no seif-quenching was found in fluorescence of EMA containingionomers at 615nm within the concentration range of 1.6×10~(-2) to 11.49×10~(-2) mol%.This means that the distance between two Eu~(3+) ions is larger than 5nm. In the sameconcentration range seif-quenching took place in europium octanoate (EOA) containingpoly(methyl methacrylate) in which EOA was doped as an additive.     

GMA熔融接枝EPDM的研究

以甲基丙烯酸缩水甘油酯（ＧＭＡ）为接枝单体，过氧化二异丙苯（ＤＣＰ）为引发剂，对三元乙丙胶（ＥＰＤＭ）进行了熔融接枝，在烃链上引入极性基团，以改善ＥＰＤＭ与极性聚合物的相容性。用差示扫描量热计（ＤＳＣ）研究了ＧＭＡ的聚合温度，用富里叶红外（ＦＴ－ＩＲ）、凝胶渗透色谱（ＧＰＣ）对接枝产物进行了表征。实验结果表明，产物的接枝率和凝胶量可以通过反应条件（温度、时间、反应物组成及加料方式）来控制。     

烷基硫酸钠对MMA种子乳液聚合的影响

研究了烷基硫酸钠纯度，烷基碳链分布对甲基丙烯酸甲酯种子乳液聚合反应的影响。结果表明，烷基硫酸钠中乙醇不溶物含量的增加，可提高ＭＭＡ乳液聚合反应速度，在采用Ｋ２Ｓ２Ｏ８－ＮａＨＳＯ３－Ｃｕ＾２＋三元氧化－还原引发体系的ＭＭＡ乳液聚合中，Ｆｅ＾２＋降低反应速率，而Ｆｅ＾３＋则提高聚合反应速率；

基团转移嵌段共聚研究

本文采用双官能团引发剂和负离子型催化剂进行了甲基丙烯酸甲酯和甲基丙烯酸Ｃ７～９酯的基团转移嵌段共聚．讨论了温度、单体投料方式、引发剂－催化剂浓度比及单体浓度对聚合反应的影响，认为当两段反应温度分别为８５℃和２５℃时，引发剂浓度［Ｉ］＝１．３５×１０－２ｍｏｌ／Ｌ，催化剂引发剂浓度比［Ｃａｔ］／［Ｉ］＝０．１２６，以活性较低的Ｃ７～９ＭＡ为第一嵌段单体，有利于Ｃ７～９ＭＡ和ＭＭＡ的嵌段共聚．测定了嵌段共聚物的热形变温度；用ＧＰＣ对嵌段共聚物的相对分子质量及分布进行了表征，结合ＩＲ、１ＨＮＭＲ和热形变温度分析，证明所得到的为ＰＭＭＡ－ＰＣ７～９ＭＡ－ＰＭＭＡ均相三嵌段共聚物．     

Fluorimetry and differential scanning calorimetry analysis of ionomers with low Eu3+ contents

Fluorimetry and differential scanning calorimetry have been used to characterize ionomers that were synthesized by copolymerization of methyl methacrylate, methacrylic acid, and europium methacrylate (EMA). Under excitation of UV light at 375 nm no self-quenching was found in fluorescence of EMA-containing ionomers at 615 nm within the Eu³⁺ concentration range of 1.6 × 10⁻² to 11.49 × 10⁻² mol %, which means that the distance between two Eu³⁺ ions is larger than 50 Å. In the same concentration range self-quenching took place in europium octanoate (EOA)-containing ionomers in which EOA was doped as an additive. Only one T_g was found for both kinds of polymers within the concentration range of Eu³⁺ ions. For all ion contents studied, T_g values were essentially independent of ion content and values were slightly higher for the EMA containing ionomers. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.     

Proton NMR investigation of the local dynamics of PEO in PEO/PMMA blends

Longitudinal relaxation of proton magnetisation was used to characterize the molecular motions of PEO chains in compatible PEO (hydrogenated)/PMMA (deuterated) blends. Both the temperature and the PEO concentration, Φ, were varied. A maximum in the spin–lattice relaxation rate was observed and its properties were analyzed as a function of Φ. For Φ ≤ 0.50, the maximum is observed below the glass transition temperature of the blend; this shows that PEO chains dispersed in a matrix of PMMA remain highly mobile on a local scale even below T_g(Φ). A frequency–temperature correspondence procedure, applied to the measurements performed at two Larmor frequencies, 32 and 60 MHz, leads to a characteristic correlation time for PEO molecular motions. Its temperature dependence obeys a WLF free volume relation above the glass transition of the blends. The PEO free volume fraction and its thermal expansion are strongly reduced by the presence of the PMMA chains. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. J Polym Sci B: Polym Phys 35: 1095–1105, 1997     

掺C60有机玻璃的吸收光谱研究

研究了Ｃ６０分别在有机玻璃（ＰＭＭＡ）和正己烷中的吸收光谱，发现Ｃ６０在有机玻璃中的吸收峰同在正己烷中相互对应，同时前者的吸收峰相对于后者峰宽变大，峰位产生红移，分析了产生这种现象的原因。
