Molecularly-Imprinted Materials for Potentiometric Transduction: Application to the Antibiotic Enrofloxacin

Enrofloxacin (ENR) is an antimicrobial used both in humans and in food producing species. Its control is required in farmed species and their surroundings in order to reduce the prevalence of antibiotic resistant bacteria. Thus, a new biomimetic sensor enrofloxacin is presented. An artificial host was imprinted in specific polymers. These were dispersed in 2-nitrophenyloctyl ether and entrapped in a poly(vinyl chloride) matrix. The potentiometric sensors exhibited a near-Nernstian response. Slopes expressing mV/Δlog([ENR]/M) varied within 48–63. The detection limits ranged from 0.28 to 1.01 µg mL^?1. Sensors were independent from the pH of test solutions within 4–7. Good selectivity was observed toward potassium, calcium, barium, magnesium, glycine, ascorbic acid, creatinine, norfloxacin, ciprofloxacin, and tetracycline. In flowing media, the biomimetic sensors presented good reproducibility (RSD of ± 0.7%), fast response, good sensitivity (47 mV/Δlog([ENR]/M), wide linear range (1.0 × 10^?5–1.0 × 10^?3 M), low detection limit (0.9 µg mL^?1), and a stable baseline for a 5 × 10^?2 M acetate buffer (pH 4.7) carrier. The sensors were used to analyze fish samples. The method offered the advantages of simplicity, accuracy, and automation feasibility. The sensing membrane may contribute to the development of small devices allowing in vivo measurements of enrofloxacin or parent-drugs.     

A perspective on trends in multiscale plasticity

Research trends in metal plasticity over the past 25 years are briefly reviewed. The myriad of length scales at which phenomena involving microstructure rearrangement during plastic flow is discussed, along with key challenges. Contributions of the author’s group over the past 30 years are summarized in this context, focusing on the statistical nature of microstructure evolution and emergent multiscale behavior associated with metal plasticity, current trends and models for length scale effects, multiscale kinematics, the role of grain boundaries, and the distinction of the roles of concurrent and hierarchical multiscale modeling in the context of materials design.

应用反相高效液相色谱法分析了鱼肉中藻毒素的含量。用BDS C18色谱柱,以水（含1％三氟乙酸）：甲醇＝30：70（V／V）溶液为流动相,238nm紫外检测。鱼肉样品用甲醇－水和丙酮混合溶剂提取,经正已烷萃取后,将有机相弃去,水相用固相萃取柱净化后进行高效液相色谱分析。该法检测限为10ng/g,峰面积标准曲线在50－250ng范围内有良好线性关系,平均回收率为85．1％－88．2％。     

Influence of Mg^2＋ on Initial Stages of CaCO3 Scale Formed on Metal Surface

Magnesium ions, which exist in formation water and injection water under downhole conditions in the oil and gas production industry, are a key determinant in the CaCO3 scale formation. Many studies have focused their attention on the effect of magnesium on the kinetics, the morphology and the content of Mg in the Ca-CO3 scale. Little attention has been paid to the effect of Mg^2 on the initial stages of CaCO3 formation on a metal surface. In this study, an electrochemical technique was used to study the influence of Mg^2 on the ini-tial stages of CaCO3 scale formed on a metal surface. With this electrochemical technique, the reduction of the dissolved oxygen in an analysis solution is considered on the surface of a rotating disk electrode (RDE) un-der potentiostatic control. The rate of oxygen reduction on the surface of the RDE enables the extent of sur-face coverage of scale to be assessed. With this electrochemical technique, a new insight into the effect of Mg^2 on CaCO3 scale formed on a metal surface is given.

明胶大分子中的正电子湮没行为

利用正电子湮没寿命谱 ,从分子尺度上对两种分别从深海鱼皮和牛骨提取的明胶大分子的微观结构性能进行了研究 .正电子湮没寿命谱的长寿命组分给出了关于明胶大分子中自由体积空穴的信息 .结果表明 ,鱼明胶大分子中自由体积空穴的尺度与数量均低于骨明胶大分子 .同时 ,用鱼明胶和骨明胶作为成核分散介质的乳剂试验表明 ,鱼明胶可以改善卤化银颗粒的单分散性并抑制晶核的生长和聚结 .由此认为 ,明胶作为保护性胶体的功能与其微结构特征相关 .鱼明胶在控制卤化银颗粒成核与生长中的功能强于骨明胶 .     

Chemistry of organophosphonate scale growth inhibitors: two-dimensional, layered polymeric networks in the structure of tetrasodium 2-hydroxyethyl-amino-bis(methylenephosphonate)

Aminomethylene phosphonates are important scale inhibitors applied in diverse areas of technology. This study adds to the existing body of information on this subject and reports the crystal and molecular structures of tetrasodium 2-hydroxyethylamino-bis(methylene-phosphonate) decahydrate ([Na₄(HOCH₂CH₂N(CH₂PO₃)₂)]·10H₂O, 1). The crystal structure of 1 could be described as two-dimensional polymeric layered structure hydrogen bonded into a 3D supramolecular polymeric network. The structure of the tetraanion consists of a “three-arm” backbone stemming from the N atom. Two “arms” are deprotonated methylene phosphonate (-CH₂PO₃²⁻) moieties and the third is a hydroxyethyl (-CH₂CH₂OH) moiety. One Na cation forms an intramolecular complex with two oxygens from separate phosphonate groups, a hydroxyl oxygen, the nitrogen and two lattice water molecules. The position of this Na cation points to a possible coordination site for Ca in a proposed Ca-HEABMP complex (HEABMP=2-hydroxyethylamino-bis(methylene-phosphonate).     

液相色谱-电喷雾串联质谱法测定鱼肉中氯霉素含量

建立了液相色谱-电喷雾串联质谱法测定鱼肉中氯霉素残留的检测方法。氘代氯霉素(d5-CAP)为内标,样品经乙酸乙酯提取,30%甲醇-正己烷去脂,固相萃取柱净化,乙腈-水(1+1)为流动相,C18色谱柱进行分离,负离子模式检测,氯霉素m/z321/152,321/194,321/257,氘代氯霉素325.5/156.5为监控离子对,以m/z321/152,325.5/156.5峰面积作内标法定量。方法的回收率在92.8%~108%,相对标准偏差为1.9%~9.3%,检出限低于0.01μg.kg-1。
