Summary An improved analytical method, reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography on a narrow-bore C18 column, has been developed for the simultaneous determination of genistein, daidzein, formononetin, and biochanin A. The
method was validated in terms of detection limits, quantitation limits (LOQ), linearity, and precision.LOQ in the 0.04–0.1 μg mL−1 range were calculated, enabling determination of these compounds of nutritional concern at trace levels. Good linearity was
demonstrated over three orders of magnitude of concentration for each analyte (r
2=0.998–1.000). The intra-day repeatability was evaluated in terms ofRSD (%) at two concentration levels for each analyte (RSD (%) <1.8%). Good inter-day reproducibility of data was proved by performing homoscedasticity and ANOVA tests (P>0.05 at the 95% confidence level). The method was applied to the determination of genistein and daidzein in yellow soybeans,
after optimization of the method for extraction of isoflavonoid aglycones from soybeans by experimental design, i.e. central
composite design. Extraction recoveries up to 87±4% were obtained when the corresponding glycosidic forms (genistin and daidzin)

We formulate conservation laws governing steam and nitrogen injection in a one-dimensional porous medium containing water.
Compressibility, heat conductivity and capillarity are neglected. We study the condensation front and shock waves arising
in the flow. We find that there are four possible types of solutions for the initial and boundary conditions of interest.
We describe a simple construction in the temperature saturation plane that determines the complete solution for the given
conditions. Applications of the theory developed here are in clean up of soil contaminated with nonaqueous phase liquids.
We show that a substantial cold gaseous zone develops in all solutions of practical interest, thus counteracting downward

Strain recovery after the cessation of shear was studied in model immiscible blends composed of polyisobutylene drops (10–30%
by weight) in a polydimethylsiloxane matrix. Blends of viscosity ratio (viscosity of the drops relative to the matrix viscosity)
ranging from 0.3 to 1.7 were studied. Most of the strain recovery was attributable to interfacial tension, and could be well-described
by just two parameters: the ultimate recovery and a single retardation time. Both these parameters were found to increase
with the capillary number of the drops prior to cessation of shear. For blends that had reached steady shear conditions, the
ultimate recovery decreased with increasing viscosity ratio, whereas the retardation time increased with increasing viscosity
ratio. The retardation time was well-predicted, but the ultimate recovery was over-predicted by a linear viscoelastic model
developed previously by Vinckier et al. (Rheol Acta 38:65–72, 1999). 相似文献

The compressive deformation behavior of 42CrMo steel was investigated at temperatures ranging from 850 to 1150 °C and strain rates from 0.01 to 50 s−1 on Gleeble-1500 thermo-simulation machine. Based on the classical stress–dislocation relation and the kinematics of the dynamic recrystallization, the flow stress constitutive equations of the work hardening-dynamical recovery period and dynamical recrystallization period were established for 42CrMo steel, respectively. The stress–strain curves of 42CrMo steel predicted by the established models are in good agreement with experimental results when the strain rate is relatively low. So, the proposed deformation constitutive equations can be used to establish the hot formation processing parameters for 42CrMo steel. 相似文献

A Reissner–Mindlin theory for composite laminates without invoking ad hoc kinematic assumptions is constructed using the variational-asymptotic method. Instead of assuming a priori the distribution of three-dimensional displacements in terms of two-dimensional plate displacements as what is usually done in typical plate theories, an exact intrinsic formulation has been achieved by introducing unknown three-dimensional warping functions. Then the variational-asymptotic method is applied to systematically decouple the original three-dimensional problem into a one-dimensional through-the-thickness analysis and a two-dimensional plate analysis. The resulting theory is an equivalent single-layer Reissner–Mindlin theory with an excellent accuracy comparable to that of higher-order, layer-wise theories. The present work is extended from the previous theory developed by the writer and his co-workers with several sizable contributions: (a) six more constants (33 in total) are introduced to allow maximum freedom to transform the asymptotically correct energy into a Reissner–Mindlin model; (b) the semi-definite programming technique is used to seek the optimum Reissner–Mindlin model. Furthermore, it is proved the first time that the recovered three-dimensional quantities exactly satisfy the continuity conditions on the interface between different layers and traction boundary conditions on the bottom and top surfaces. It is also shown that two of the equilibrium equations of three-dimensional elasticity can be satisfied asymptotically, and the third one can be satisfied approximately so that the difference between the Reissner–Mindlin model and the second-order asymptotical model can be minimized. Numerical examples are presented to compare with the exact solution as well as the classical lamination theory and the first-order shear-deformation theory, demonstrating that the present theory has an excellent agreement with the exact solution. 相似文献

In the presence of diffusion, stability of three-layer Hele-Shaw flows which models enhanced oil recovery processes by polymer
flooding is studied for the case of variable viscosity in the middle layer. This leads to the coupling of the momentum equation
and the species advection-diffusion equation the hydrodynamic stability study of which is presented in this paper.
Linear stability analysis of a potentially unstable three-layer rectilinear Hele-Shaw flow is used to examine the effects
of species diffusion on the stability of the flow. Using a weak formulation of the disturbance equations, upper bounds on
the growth rate of individual disturbances and on the maximal growth rate over all possible disturbances are found. Analytically,
it is shown that a short-wave disturbance if unstable can be stabilized by mild diffusion of species, where as an unstable
long-wave disturbance can always be stabilized by strong diffusion of species. Thus, an otherwise unstable three-layer Hele-Shaw
flow can be completely stabilized by a large enough diffusion, i.e., by increasing enough the magnitude of the species diffusion
coefficient. The magnitude of this diffusion coefficient required to completely stabilize the flow will depend on the magnitude
of interfacial viscosity jumps and the viscosity gradient of the basic viscous profile of the middle layer. 相似文献
