ZrO2 coatings deposited on 316 L stainless steel sheets were synthesized by sol-gel method using Zr(OC3H7)4 as precursor and isopropanol, glacial acetic acid, and water as solvents for application with ultrasounds. Different solutions for dip-coating were prepared with compositions varying between 0.025 and 0.9 mol/dm3 of ZrO2. X-ray diffraction shows that the films densified at 800°C are crystalline with a tetragonal structure. The thickness of the coatings varied from 0.35–0.75 m. The influence of the ZrO2 coatings on the corrosion behavior of stainless steel substrates in aqueous NaCl was studied through potentiodynamic polarization curves at 1 mV/s. The values of the electrochemical parameters allow for an explanation of the role of the films in the increased resistance of steel against corrosion in moderately aggressive environments.  相似文献

A new bismaleimide (BMI) resin was synthesized to formulate epoxy(tetraglycidyl diaminodiphenyl methane; TGDDM) – bismaleimide thermoset blends for composite matrix applications. 4,4′-diaminodiphenyl methane (DDM) was used as an amine curing agent for the TGDDM. A Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy was employed to characterize the new BMI resin. Cure behavior of the epoxy–BMI blends was studied using a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). DSC thermograms of the thermoset blends indicated two exothermic peaks. The glass transition temperature of the thermoset blends decreased with BMI content. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) was carried out to investigate thermal degradation behavior of the cured epoxy–BMI thermoset blends. The new BMI resin reacted partially with the DDM and weak intercrosslinking polymer networks were formed during cure of the thermoset blends.  相似文献

The thermal decomposition of 4,4′-diaminodiphenylsulphone (DDS) was studied by thermogravimetry, differential scanning calorimetry and thermal volatilisation analysis. Solid residues, high-boiling and gaseous products of degradation were collected at each step of thermal decomposition and analysed by infrared spectroscopy and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry.

On programmed heating at normal pressure, DDS starts to evaporate at 250°C. Thermal decomposition, which probably proceeds through homolytic scission of the S-C bond is simultaneously observed. The resulting sulphonyl radicals provoke polymerisation and cross-linking of the solid residue which undergoes a limited degradation at 350°C with elimination of heteroatoms N and S as volatile moieties. Above 400°C, the residue undergoes a complex charring process leading to an aromatic char typical of carbonised aromatic polymers.  相似文献

Epoxy resins in the solid state, liquid state and during polymerisation were treated by microwave oxygen plasma and analysed by FTIR spectra. Curing, etching and oxidation kinetics of epoxy resin were observed. In the liquid resin and polymerising mixture the effect of structure modification was observed more intensively than in the case of solid sample due to a mixing process. A modification of bulk layers of liquid epoxy resin was observed under plasma action. The polymerisation reaction of epoxy resin with amine hardening agent can be released in plasma discharge at low pressure.  相似文献

The flame retardant effect of newly synthesized phosphorus-containing reactive amine, which can be used both as crosslinking agent in epoxy resins and as a flame retardant, was investigated. The effect of montmorillonite and sepiolite additives on the fire induced degradation was compared to pristine epoxy resin. The effect of combining the organophosphorous amine with clay minerals was also studied. It could be concluded that the synthesized phosphorus-containing amine, TEDAP can substitute the traditional epoxy resin curing agents providing additionally excellent flame retardancy: the epoxy resins flame retarded this way reach 960 °C GWFI value, 33 LOI value and V-0 UL-94 rating - compared to the 550 °C GWFI value, 21 LOI value and “no rate” UL-94 classification of the reference epoxy resin. The peak of heat release was reduced to 1/10 compared to non-flame retarded resin, furthermore a shift in time was observed, which increases the time to escape in case of fire. The flame retardant performance can be further improved by incorporating clay additives: the LOI and the HRR results showed that the optimum of flame retardant effect of clay additives is around 1 mass% filler level in AH-16-TEDAP system. Applying a complex method for mechanical and structural characterization of the intumescent char it was determined that the flame retarded system forms significantly more and stronger char of better uniformity with smaller average bubble size. Incorporation of clay additives (owing to their bubble nucleating activity) results in further decrease in average bubble diameter.  相似文献

The properties of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol-A epoxy resin toughened with poly(ether sulfone ether ketone) (PESEK) and poly(ether sulfone) (PES) polymers were investigated. PESEK was synthesised by the nucleophilic substitution reaction of 4,4’-difluorobenzophenone with dihydroxydiphenylsulfone using sulfolane as solvent and potassium carbonate as catalyst at 230 °C. The T g–composition behaviour of the homogeneous epoxy resin/PESEK blend was modelled using Fox, Gordon–Taylor and Kelley–Bueche equations. A single relaxation near the glass transition of epoxy resin was observed in all the blend systems. From dynamic mechanical analysis, the crosslink density of the blends was found to decrease with increase in the thermoplastic concentration. The storage modulus of the epoxy/PESEK blends was lower than that of neat resin, whilst it is higher for epoxy/PES blends up to glass transition temperature, thereafter it decreases. Scanning electron microscopic studies of the blends revealed a homogeneous morphology. The homogeneity of the blends was attributed to the similarity in chemical structure of the modifier and the cured epoxy network and due to the H-bonding interactions between the blend components. The fracture toughness of epoxy resin increased on blending with PESEK and PES. The increase in fracture toughness was due to the increase in ductility of the matrix. The thermal stability of the blends was comparable to that of neat epoxy resin.  相似文献

The coloration of glass via melting techniques presents some unique problems with respect to the reproducibility, toxicology and economics of certain colors, especially if the market demands are highly variable. This is also the case for consumer products such as crystal glass and tableware. Traditionally, the decoration of crystal glasses is performed by laborious manual techniques, which are costly and do not meet modern market requirements. Alternatively, spraying of colored lacquers is a highly flexible and valuable tool for the development of new products. Sol-gel type hybrid coatings provide several advantages compared to conventional organic systems like high abrasion resistance, almost perfect adhesion, refractive index matching and sufficient stability in dishwashing procedures. The solubility of organic dyes in the hybrid matrix is sufficient for intense colors even at rather low layer thicknesses, which on the other hand convey the high brilliance of the base material. The development of transparent, translucent and opaque hybrid coatings for crystal glass has been completed in the last few years and the production of partially coated articles has started recently. The synthesis and properties of the coating material are reviewed and the industrial process and first market results are also outlined.  相似文献

Biodegradable polyurethane elastomers with potential for applications in medical implants with tunable degradation rate and physical properties were synthesized from reaction of epoxy terminated polyurethanes (EUP) with 1,6-hexamethylene diamine (HMDA) as curing agent. Poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) and poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) as well as 1,6-hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI) were used for preparation of isocyanate terminated polyurethanes which were subsequently blocked with glycidol to prepare EUPs. All materials were characterized by conventional methods, and their properties were studied fully. Results showed that elastomers based on PEG exhibit superior degradation rate and inferior mechanical properties in comparison to elastomers based on PCL. Optimum degradation rate and mechanical properties were obtained from elastomers made from mixture of PCL and PEG base EUPs.  相似文献

Toughened epoxy resin with excellent properties was obtained by adding organic acid anhydride curing agent and hydroxy-terminated butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer (HTBN), which is cheaper than CTBN. The anhydride reacts with both epoxy groups on epoxy resin and hydroxyl groups on HTBN. As a result the soft long chains of HTBN and the rigid chain of epoxy resin form one network, giving the resin toughness. Two-phase structure of the toughened resin was observed by SEM and TEM.  相似文献
