Toda field theories are important integrable systems. They can be regarded as constrained WZNW models, and this viewpoint helps to give their explicit general solutions, especially when a Drinfeld–Sokolov gauge is used. The main objective of this paper is to carry out this approach of solving the Toda field theories for the classical Lie algebras, following Balog et al. (1990) [5]. In this process, we discover and prove some algebraic identities for principal minors of special matrices. The known elegant solutions of Leznov (1980) [10] fit in our scheme in the sense that they are the general solutions to our conditions discovered in this solving process. To prove this, we find and prove some differential identities for iterated integrals. It can be said that altogether our paper gives complete mathematical proofs for Leznov’s solutions.  相似文献

The formulae are established in position,momentum,and four-dimensional spaces for the one-range addition theorems of generalized integer and noninteger μ Coulomb,and exponential type correlated interaction potentials with hyperbolic cosine(GCTCP and GETCP HC).These formulae are expressed in terms of one-range addition theorems of complete orthonormal sets of Ψα-exponential type orbitals(Ψ α-ETO),α-momentum space orbitals(α-MSO),and zα-hyperspherical harmonics(zα-HSH) introduced.The one-range addition theorems obtained can be useful in the electronic structure calculations of atoms and molecules when the GCTCP and GETCP HC in position,momentum,and four-dimensional spaces are employed.  相似文献

We study the spectral problem for the system of difference equations of a two-dimensional elliptic partial differential equation with nonlocal conditions. A new form of two-point nonlocal conditions that involve interior points is proposed. The matrix of the difference system is nonsymmetric thus different types of eigenvalues occur. The conditions for the existence of the eigenvalues and their corresponding eigenvectors are presented for the one dimensional problem. Then, these relations are generalized to the two-dimensional problem by the separation of variables technique.  相似文献

The numerical solution of linear elliptic partial differential equations most often involves a finite element or finite difference discretization. To preserve sparsity, the arising system is normally solved using an iterative solution method, commonly a preconditioned conjugate gradient method. Preconditioning is a crucial part of such a solution process. In order to enable the solution of very large-scale systems, it is desirable that the total computational cost will be of optimal order, i.e. proportional to the degrees of freedom of the approximation used, which also induces mesh independent convergence of the iteration. This paper surveys the equivalent operator approach, which has proven to provide an efficient general framework to construct such preconditioners. Hereby one first approximates the given differential operator by some simpler differential operator, and then chooses as preconditioner the discretization of this operator for the same mesh. In this survey we give a uniform presentation of this approach, including theoretical foundation and several practically important applications for both symmetric and nonsymmetric equations and systems, and some nonlinear examples in the context of Newton linearization. We consider linear multi-step methods for stochastic ordinary differential equations and study their convergence properties for problems with small noise or additive noise. We present schemes where the drift part is approximated by well-known methods for deterministic ordinary differential equations. In previous work, we considered Maruyama-type schemes, where only the increments of the driving Wiener process are used to discretize the diffusion part. Here, we suggest the improvement of the discretization of the diffusion part by also taking into account mixed classical-stochastic integrals. We show that the relation of the applied step sizes to the smallness of the noise is essential in deciding whether the new methods are worthwhile. Simulation results illustrate the theoretical findings.  相似文献
