Apparent molar volumes of aqueous solutions of argon and xenon have been calculated using a previously developed comprehensive equation of state for nonelectrolyte systems. The equation consists of a virial expansion truncated after the fourth virial coefficient and a closed-form term approximating higher coefficients. Mixing rules are based on the composition dependence of virial coefficients, which is known from statistical mechanics. The equation accurately represents vapor-liquid and gas-gas equilibria for the Ar+H2O and Xe+H2O systems over wide ranges of pressure and temperature using two binary parameters. With the binary parameters determined from phase equilibrium data, the equation accurately predicts apparent molar volumes V in the near-critical and far-from-critical regions. Apart from reproducing experimental V data, the equation reveals remarkable maxima of V as a function of pressure and temperature in the near-critical region. The implications of this equation with respect to the Ar–H2O potential are discussed via the second virial coefficient. 相似文献

Density functional theory (DFT) of quantum chemistry method was employed to investigate proton transfer reactions of 8-hydroxyquinoline (8-HQ) monomers and dimers. By studying the potential energy curves of the isomerization, the most possible reaction pathway was found. The total energy of 8-hydroxyquinoline was lower than that of quinolin-8(1H)-one, whereas the order was reversed in dimers. The findings explained the contrary experimental phenomena. The minimum reaction barrier of intramolecular proton transfer was 47.3 kJ/mol while that in dimer was only 25.7 kJ/mol. Hence it is obvious that proton transfer reactions of 8-HQ monomer have a considerable rate but it is easier to proceed for 8-HQ dimer than monomers. It implied that the hydrogen bond played an important role in depressing the activation energy of reaction. The mechanism of the tautomerization was discussed on the basis of theoretical results. 相似文献

The respective 4-(arylvinyl)lactones and compounds of the Michael adduct type were synthesized by the condensation of substituted benzaldehydes with 3-cyano-4,6,6-trimethyl-5,6-dihydro-2-pyranone in the presence of catalytic amounts of sodium hydroxide. It was shown by the semiempirical AM1 method that the indicated products can be formed through one and the same intermediate compound. Some of the synthesized phenylvinyl-5,6-dihydro-2-pyranones have a cytotoxic effect, and this corresponds to the prognosis of the OREX expert system. 相似文献

Thermal transformations in systems formed by interaction of Zn and Na nitrates with Y, X, and A zeolites were studied by TG—DTA technique. Temperature regions of existence of adsorbed water, water of crystallization, and decomposition of NO3
– anion were determined. These intervals depend on the composition, structure, method of preparation, and pre-treatment conditions of zeolite systems. The extent of NO3
– decomposition depends not only on the zinc and sodium content but also on the presence of ammonia involved in NO3
– reduction. The zeolite matrix strongly stabilizes the occluded NO3
– anions. A portion of zinc oxide formed by zinc nitrate decomposition is probably localized inside the zeolite cavities as the [Zn—O—(ZnO)
n

The bimolecular single collision reaction potential energy surface of an isocyanate NCO radical with a ketene CH2CO molecule was investigated by means of B3LYP and QCISD(T) methods. The computed results indicate that two possible reaction channels exist on the surface. One is an addition-elimination reaction process, in which the CH2CO molecule is attacked by the nitrogen atom at its methylene carbon atom to lead to the formation of the intermediate OCNCH2CO followed by a C-C rupture channel to the products CH2NCO+CO. The other is a direct hydrogen abstraction channel from CHzCO by the NCO radical to afford the products HCCO+HNCO. Because of a higher barrier in the hydrogen abstraction reaction than in the addition-elimination reaction, the direct hydrogen abstraction pathway can only be considered as a secondary reaction channel in the reaction kinetics of NCO+ CH2CO. Based on a partitioning of the total correlation energy into contributions from parallel‐ and antiparallel‐spin pairs of electrons, a modified third‐order Møller–Plesset (MP) perturbation theory is developed. The method, termed SCS–MP3 (SCS for spin‐component‐scaled) continues previous work on an improved version of MP2 (S. Grimme, J Chem Phys 2003, 118, 9095). A benchmark set of 32 isogyric reaction energies, 11 atomization energies, and 11 stretched geometries is used to assess to performance of the model in comparison to the standard quantum chemical approaches MP2, MP3, and QCISD(T). It is found, that the new method performs significantly better than usual MP2/MP3 and even outperforms the more costly QCISD method. Opposite to the usual MP series, the SCS third‐order correction uniformly improves the results. Dramatic enhancements are especially observed for the more difficult atomization energies, some of the stretched geometries, and reaction and ionization energies involving transition metal compounds where the method seems to be competitive or even superior to the widely used density functional approaches. Further tests performed for other complex systems (biradicals, C20 isomers, transition states) demonstrate that the SCS–MP3 model yields often results of QCISD(T) accuracy. The uniformity with which the new approach improves for very different correlation problems indicates significant robustness, and suggests it as a valuable quantum chemical method of general use. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The static polarizabilities and the second-order hyperpolarizabilities of a series of tri-nuclear metal cluster models MS4(M′PPh3)2(M′PPh3)(M=Mo,W;M′=Cu,Ag,Au)have been calculated within the first-principle theoretical framework. The model clusters have two fragments of rhombic units and it is the charge ransfer from one of these moieties to the other that is responsible for nonlinear optical property. This kind of electronic delocaization, differentiated from that of planar π-system, is very interesting and is worthy for further investigation. 相似文献
