A new approach to treating pressure oscillations in combustion instability phenomena

Developing exact models of combustion instabilities is not an easy task to carry out and requires a great deal of time prior to obtaining success. The present study proposes a low-order model for pressure oscillations that does not require any knowledge of the systems, any new physical findings nor intricate details regarding its operating condition. This new approach is obtained using a Modified Van der Pol’s equation (MVDP) which is tuned by use of a Dual Extended Kalman Filter (DKEF) as a recursive estimator with perspectives in control by computer. This phenomenological model is used to predict the pressure signal from a variety of different combustors. Input data were taken from experimental cases such as a Rijke tube, a gas turbine and a liquid-fuel aero-engine combustor. Furthermore, a simulation considering high frequency oscillations to show the capability of the new approach is presented. In all cases, the results demonstrated the feasibility of applying the tractable model MVDP and DKEF running together to investigate pressure oscillations in practical cases.     

Readout circuit with dual switching mode design for infrared focal plane arrays

The paper proposes a readout circuit architecture with adjustable integration time for dual-band infrared detectors. The readout circuit uses direct injection to be combined with a capacitive trans-impedance amplifier. The amplifier is sharing between two pixels to reduce the complexity of the readout circuit. The proposed device reduces power consumption and area overhead compared to traditional structures. An experimental chip was fabricated using the TSMC 0.35 μm 2P4 M 5 V process. The resulting unit pixel layout area is 40 μm × 40 μm with input photocurrent ranging from 0.11 pA to 50 nA. CTIA mode is applicable from 0.11 pA to 10 nA, while DI mode is applicable from 3.3 pA to 50 nA. The maximum operating frequency of the chip are 4 MHz. The CTIA output swing is 1.2 V, the DI output swing is 2 V. The signal to noise ratio of the readout circuit is 65 dB and power consumption is less than 9.6 mW.     

Effect of graded triple delta-doped sheets on the performance of GaAs based dual channel pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistors

The characteristics of InGaP/InGaAs/GaAs dual channel pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistors (DCPHEMTs) with different graded triple delta-doped sheets are investigated and experimentally demonstrated. Based on a two-dimensional simulator of ATLAS, the band diagrams, electron densities and DC characteristics of studied devices are comprehensively analyzed. Due to the use of properly graded triple delta-doped sheets, good pinch-off and saturation characteristics, improved transport properties and wide current swing are obtained. For comparison, a practical DCPHEMT with good device performances is fabricated as well. It is found that the simulated data are in good agreement with experimental results.

含三角函数的一般形式复杂对偶积分方程组的理论解

本文基于Gopson法，进行研究，改进，推广，应用于一般形式，复杂的对偶积分方程组的求解，首先引入函数进行方程组变换，其次引入未知函数的积分变换实现退耦，应用Abel反演变换，使方程组正则化为Fredholm第二类积分方程组，并由此给出对偶积分方程组的一般性解，本文给出的解法和理论解，可供求解复杂的数学，物理，力学中的混合边值问题参考，选用．同时也提供求解复杂的对偶积分方程组另一种有效的解法。     

WEAK CONVERGENCE OF HENSTOCK INTEGRABLE SEQUENCES

Some relationships between pointwise and weak convergence of a sequence of Henstock integrable functions are studied, In particular it is provided an example of a sequence of Henstock integrable functions whose pointwise limit is different from the weak one. By introducing an asymptotic version of the Henstock equiintegrability notion it is given a necessary and sufficient condition in order that a pointwisely convergent sequence of Henstock integrable functions is weakly convergent to its pointwise limit.
