For modeling the effect of volume change on the viscoelastic properties of a polymer, an equation underlying the concept of
free volume is used. The parameters of the moisture–time reduction function, characterizing changes in the viscoelastic properties
of an epoxy-based composition, are determined from tests results. To verify the approach suggested, results of long-term (up
to one year) tests on stress relaxation under compression in an epoxy composition (COMFLOOR), both in the initial state and
after a long-term (up to one year) exposure to water, are used. A satisfactory agreement between the reduction functions based
on predictions and determined experimentally is found to exist.

A simple model for history dependent nonlinear viscoelasticity is considered. The determining equation governing shear motions is derived and investigated in the quasistatic approximation and under the traveling waves ansatz. Traveling waves are possible only if an inequality involving the constitutive parameters is satisfied. This fact is in contrast to what happens in viscoelasticity of the Kelvin–Voigt type. On the other hand, in the quasi-static approximation (classical creep and recovery experiments) the behavior of the history dependent model is similar to analogous rate dependent models. 相似文献

基于Biot波动方程,研究分析了粘弹性饱和土体中半封闭圆形隧洞的动力响应问题.假定衬砌材料为多孔介质,引入了更符合工程实际的半封闭边界条件.通过引入势函数,在Laplace变换域中得到隧洞边界上作用轴对称荷载和流体压力条件下应力、位移和超孔隙水压力的解答.利用Laplace数值逆变换得到时域中的解,分析了隧洞边界的半透水特性对隧洞动力响应问题的影响,结果表明:隧洞边界的半透水特性对应力、位移场的变化和超孔隙水压力的消散有很大的影响,透水和不透水下条件的解仅是本文的两个特例。 相似文献

合成了两种咪唑基表面活性离子液体,通过界面膨胀流变法研究了其在气/液界面的聚集行为,考察了咪唑基表面活性离子液体浓度、无机盐和温度对聚集行为的影响。研究发现,咪唑基表面活性离子液体在吸附过程中吸附控制占主导作用,而弛豫过程不是单一指数函数;加入无机盐或升高温度可以提高咪唑基表面活性离子液体的表面活性、增强其在界面的吸附能力、降低表面张力。扩张流变结果显示扩张模量、弹性模量和粘性模量随震荡频率增加而增加;随表面活性离子液体浓度增大,扩张模量先增大后减小。扩张模量随温度升高或无机盐(NaBr或CaBr2)的加入而降低。表面活性离子液在气/液界面形成的吸附膜以弹性模量为主,而且C14mimBr的界面膜弹性模量大于C12mimBr的界面膜弹性模量。 相似文献

Polyurea, a promising material for damage mitigation in impact scenarios, has been investigated through plane-wave, pressure-shear plate impact (PSPI) experiments to obtain its mechanical response at high pressures and high strain rates. Based on these experimental results, a physically-based, quasi-linear, viscoelasticity model is introduced to capture the observed nonlinear pressure-volume behavior, the strong dependence of shearing resistance on pressure, and the strong relaxation of deviatoric stresses. This model has been implemented in finite element software ABAQUS to simulate the response of polyurea P1000 under the impact conditions of a variety of PSPI experiments. 考虑裂纹的缝隙和黏性效应,将梁中横向裂纹等效为黏弹性扭转弹簧,利用广义Delta函数,给出了Laplace变换域内裂纹梁的等效抗弯刚度,得到了具有任意开闭裂纹数目且满足标准线性固体黏弹性本构的Timoshenko梁在时间域内的弯曲变形显式解析通解.在此基础上,通过两个数值算例,分析了时间、梁跨高比和裂纹深度等参数对黏弹性Timoshenko开裂纹梁弯曲变形的影响.结果表明:裂纹黏性对Timoshenko裂纹梁的弯曲具有显著的影响.相比于裂纹的弹性扭转弹簧模型,考虑裂纹黏性效应的黏弹性Timoshenko裂纹梁在裂纹处挠度尖点和转角跳跃现象十分明显.另外,由于横向剪切引起的附加变形,Timoshenko裂纹梁的稳态挠度与Euler-Bernoulli梁挠度的差值为常数,其大小与裂纹模型、梁跨高比或裂纹深度无关,这些结果对梁裂纹无损检测具有指导意义. 相似文献

In this study, the effects of the non-Newtonian rheological properties of the lubricant in a thin-film lubrication regime between smooth surfaces were investigated. The thin-film lubrication regime typically appears in Stribeck curves with a clearly observable minimum coefficient of friction (COF) and a low-COF region, which is desired for its lower energy dissipation. A dynamic rheology of the lubricant from the hydrodynamic lubrication regime to the thin-film lubrication regime was proposed based on the convected Maxwell constitutive equation. This rheology model includes the increased relaxation time and the yield stress of the confined lubricant thin film, as well as their dependences on the lubricant film thickness. The Deborah number (De number) was adopted to describe the liquid-solid transition of the confined lubricant thin film under shearing. Then a series of Stribeck curves were calculated based on Tichy's extended lubrication equations with a perturbation of the De number. The results show that the minimum COF points in the Stribeck curve correspond to a critical De number of 1.0, indicating a liquid-to-solid transition of the confined lubricant film. Furthermore, the two proposed parameters in the dynamic rheological model, namely negative slipping length b (indicating the lubricant interfacial effect) and the characteristic relaxation time λ 0 , were found to determine the minimum COF and the width of the low-COF region, both of which were required to optimize the shape of the Stribeck curve. The developed dynamic rheological model interprets the correlation between the rheological and interfacial properties of lubricant and its lubrication behavior in the thin-film regime. 相似文献

There are a number of interesting applications where modeling
elastic and/or viscoelastic materials is fundamental, including
uses in civil engineering, the food industry, land mine detection
and ultrasonic imaging. Here we provide an overview of the subject
for both elastic and viscoelastic materials in order to understand
the behavior of these materials. We begin with a brief
introduction of some basic terminology and relationships in
continuum mechanics, and a review of equations of motion in a
continuum in both Lagrangian and Eulerian forms. To complete the
set of equations, we then proceed to present and discuss a number
of specific forms for the constitutive relationships between stress
and strain proposed in the literature for both elastic and
viscoelastic materials. In addition, we discuss some
applications for these constitutive equations. Finally, we give a computational
example describing the motion of soil experiencing dynamic
loading by incorporating a specific form of constitutive equation
