Influence of organic modifiers on morphology and crystallization of poly(ϵ‐caprolactone)/synthetic clay intercalated nanocomposites

ε‐caprolactone was polymerized in the presence of neat montmorillonite or organomontmorillonites to obtain a variety of poly(ε‐caprolactone) (PCL)‐based systems loaded with 10 wt % of the silicates. The materials were thoroughly investigated by different X‐ray scattering techniques to determine factors affecting structure of the systems. For one of the nanocomposites it was found that varying the temperature in the range corresponding to crystallization of PCL causes reversible changes in the interlayer distance of the organoclay. Extensive experimental and literature studies on this phenomenon provided clues indicating that this effect might be a result of two‐dimensional ordering of PCL chains inside the galleries of the silicate. Small angle X‐ray scattering and wide angle X‐ray scattering investigation of filaments oriented above melting point of PCL revealed that polymer lamellae were oriented perpendicularly to particles of unmodified silicate, while in PCL/organoclay systems they were found parallel to clay tactoids. Calorimetric and microscopic studies shown that clay particles are effective nucleating agents. In the nanocomposites, PCL crystallized 20‐fold faster than in the neat polymer. The crystallization rate in nanocomposites was also significantly higher than in microcomposite. Further research provided an insight how the presence of the filler affects crystalline fraction and spherulitic structure of the polymer matrix in the investigated systems. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Derivatization of 1-phenyl substituted 4-amino-2-benzazepin-3-ones: evaluation of Pd-catalyzed coupling reactions

Several Pd-catalyzed reactions were explored to further functionalize the bromo-substituted 4-amino-1,2,4,5-tetrahydro-2-benzazepin-3-one scaffold (Aba). We report in this paper suitable reaction conditions for Suzuki, Buchwald-Hartwig, and Heck reactions. The substitution pattern of the starting aminobenzazepinone turned out to be crucial for the success of these transition metal-catalyzed reactions, which often required modifications of standard literature procedures. The Pd-catalyzed methods provide access to novel substitution patterns of the Aba scaffold.     

Photoelectron spectroscopic study of Li oxides on Li over-deposited V2O5 thin film surfaces

The Li oxides species formed on Li over-deposited V₂O₅ thin film surfaces have been studied by using X-ray and UV induced photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS and UPS). The photoelectron spectroscopic data show that the Li over-deposited V₂O₅ system itself is not stable. Further chemical decomposition reactions are taken place even under UHV conditions and lead to form Li₂O and Li₂O₂ compounds on the surface. The formation of Li₂O₂ causes to arise an emission line at about 11.3 eV in the valence band spectra.     

Dimethylamino-substituted 7H-Benzo[de]pyrazolo[5,1-a]isoquinolin-7-ones and Their Behavior under Vilsmeier-Haack Conditions

The behavior of dimethylamino-substituted 7H-benzo[de]pyrazolo[5,1-a]isoquinoline-7-ones, synthesized for the first time, under conditions of the Vilsmeier-Haack reaction. It has been shown that, on heating with POCl₃ and DMF, they are converted by electrophilic substitution at the position ortho to the dimethylamino group, followed by cyclization of the iminium adduct to a quinazolinium salt. When an acetyl group is present, the Arnold reaction, leading to the formation of a chloroaryl, accompanies the heterocyclization. The rates and proportion of the reaction products depend on the position of the dimethyl groups relative to the pyrazole ring.     

Association Behavior of 4-Acylpyrazolone Derivative and Tertiary Amine of High Molecular Weight in Antagonistic Synergistic Extraction of Palladium

To find an effective extraction and removal method for palladium(II), which is one of the main fission products from an acidic nuclear spent fuel solution, the extraction behavior of palladium(II) from a nitric acid medium by an acidic chelating extractant, 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-trifluoroacetylpyrazolone-5-one (HPMTP) and a tertiary amine of high molecular weight, tri-n-octylamine (TOA), has been studied by spectrophotometry. A noticeable antagonistic extraction effect was observed in the extraction system under the given conditions. To understand this phenomenon, a preliminary investigation was performed to explain the mechanism of this reaction. According to the theory of corresponding solutions (TCS), the association reaction between HPMTP and TOA is proposed in the organic phase. An associated species, HPMTP·TOA, formed through hydrogen bonding in a chloroform medium might be the main reason why an antagonistic extraction effect occurred. The association constant between HPMTP and TOA was calculated to be 2.86±0.05.     

S[a,b]类中边界Nevanlinna-Pick插值(Ⅱ)

继续作者最近的研究,用所谓的Hankel向量方法建立S[a,b]函数类中带边界插值数据的Nevanlinna-Pick插值问题与[a,b]上的某种带约束条件的Hausdorff矩量问题之间解集之间明确的一一对应关系.通过N[a,b]函数类与S[a,b]函数类之间的联系,从而由BNP(N[a,b])问题的可解性准则和解的参数化描述获得BNP(S[a,b)问题的可解性准则和解的参数化表示.     

Novel intramolecular cyclization of N-alkynyl heterocycles containing proximate nucleophiles

Intramolecular cyclization of 2-acyl-1-propargyl-1H-indoles in the presence of ammonia provides an easy entry to pyrazino[1,2-a]indole nucleus.     

Bayesian estimation of keyword confidence in Chinese Continuous speech recognition

In a syllable-based speaker-independent Chinese continuous speech recognition system based on classical Hidden Markov Model(HMM),a Bayesian approach of keyword confidence estimation is studied,which utilizes both acoustic layer scores and syllable-based statistical language model(LM) score.The Maximum a posteriori(MAP) confidence measure is proposed,and the forward-backward algorithm calculating the MAP confidence scores is deduced.The performance of the MAP confidence measure is evaluated in keyword spotting application and the experiment results show that the MAP confidence scores provide high discriminability for keyword candidates.Furthermore,the MAP confidence measure can be applied to various speech recognition applications.     

X波段盘圈加速结构热阴极微波电子枪的研究

介绍了采用盘圈(DAW)加速结构在11.43GHz下研制的热阴极微波电子枪注入器，分析了注入器中DAW加速结构支撑杆对于微波特性的影响以及加速结构中的模式重叠问题. 针对该结构的强腔间耦合以及次临近耦合不能忽略的特点，对其调谐方法进行了分析研究.给出了该长腔链热阴极微波电子枪注入器的物理设计及粒子动力学计算结果，电子能量为5—6MeV，脉冲流强为40mA，电子束发射度为3.4πmm.mrad. 该微波电子枪的加工焊接已经完成，文中给出了其冷测结果.     

Transition‐metal‐catalyzed reactions of 5‐methylene‐2‐oxazolidinone and 5‐methylene‐1,3‐thiazolidine‐2‐thione with isocyanates

5‐Methylene‐2‐oxazolidinone (1) and 5‐methylene‐1,3‐thiazolidine‐2‐thione (4) react with various isocyanates to give the corresponding urethanes 3 and 5 in high yields in the presence of palladium(0) or palladium(II) catalyst under mild reaction conditions.
