Ageing behaviour of SBR/EVA blends due to the effects of heat, ozone, and gamma radiation was studied with reference to blend ratio, three crosslinking systems (sulfur, peroxide and mixed) and a compatibiliser (SEBS-g-MA). It was found that an increase in the EVA content of the blends enhanced the ageing characteristics. Among the different crosslinking systems, a peroxide cured system exhibited the best retention of properties even after severe ageing. Tensile strength of peroxide cured SBR/EVA blends increased slightly after ageing for three days at 70 °C due to continued crosslinking, whereas tensile strength of all blends decreased on ageing at 100 °C. Compatibilisation with SEBS-g-MA improved the thermal, gamma and water ageing resistance of SBR/EVA blends.  相似文献

Temperature-sensitive poly(N-tert-butylacrylamide-co-acrylamide) [P(NTBA-co-AAm)] hydrogels were synthesized by free-radical copolymerization in a water–methanol mixture using three types of crosslinkers: 1,2-ethyleneglycol dimethacrylate, N,N-methylenebisacrylamide, and 1,3-butandiol dimethacrylate. These thermosensitive hydrogels were swollen to equilibrium in water at 20°C and examined by gravimetric measurements. The influence of type and content of crosslinkers on the swelling ratio, the polymer–solvent interaction parameter (χ), the average molecular mass between crosslinks and the effective crosslinking density (ν E) of the hydrogels were reported and discussed. The swelling process in water was found to be non-Fickian diffusion. The enthalpy (ΔH) and entropy (ΔS) changes appearing in the χ parameter for the hydrogels were determined by using the Flory–Rehner theory based on the phantom network model of swelling equilibrium. Negative values for ΔH and ΔS indicated that the hydrogels had a negative temperature-sensitive property in water; that is, swelling at a lower temperature and shrinking at a higher temperature. The temperature-reversibility and on–off switching properties of the P(NTBA-co-AAm) hydrogels may be considered as good candidates for designing novel drug-delivery systems.  相似文献

The crosslinking of unsaturated polyester was studied by using an experiment and a mathematical model of the process. Temperature–time profiles were recorded in the centre of the sample inside the mould at the outer wall of the cylindrical copper mould, and in the bulk of the heated air bath. A numerical model was constructed by taking into account the heat transferred by convection from the air to the mould surface and the heat transferred by conduction through the resin, as well as the heat generated by the crosslinking reaction. The convection heat transfer coefficient was determined in independent experiments with the empty copper mould. Introduction of the carbon base filler reduced the amount of heat generated in the composite due to the less reactive component in the composite. As a result, it lowered the temperature of the resin. By recording the temperature-time and the degree of crosslinking time profiles developed within the sample extensive knowledge of the process can be obtained. The effects of the convection heat transfer on the rate of mould heating, and the conduction heat transfer through the mould as well as the internal heat generated by the crosslinking reaction are visibly shown, despite a complexity of the process.  相似文献

A novel phthalazinone modified epoxy acrylate resin for the high temperature resistant ultravioet (UV) curable coating was synthesized. The methacrylated epoxy resins obtained were utilized to UV radiation curing by taking 2.5% (wt%) of photoinitiator in combination with 20% (wt%) of diluent, and generated the interpenetraring polymer networks. The interaction of glutaraldehyde with model aliphatic amines was studied in order to understand the crosslinking reaction of glutaraldehyde with proteins. The reaction in organic solvents gave N-alkyl-1,4-dihydropyridines and N,N-dialkyl-1,5-diiminopentanes. The isolated products are new or were previously described by us for the first time1. Hydration of the reaction products led to stable N-alkylpiperidines and N,N-dialkyl-1,5-diaminopentanes. In aqueous solution the reaction depends on thepH: at apH above 7, N-alkyl-1,4-dihydropyridines and at apH below 7, polymers were obtained. For the crosslinking reaction of proteins with glutaraldehyde the following mechanism is proposed: Monomeric glutaraldehyde reacts with the protein to give intermediate N-alkyl-2,6-dihydroxypiperidines. Intramolecular dehydration leads to the corresponding N-alkyl-1,4-dihydropyridines. Condensation of the cyclic monohydrate of glutaraldehyde and N-alkyl-2,6-dihydroxypiperidines gives linear polymeric crosslinks containing -oxo-N-alkylpiperidine units.

本文结合提取、凝胶色谱等方法测定了苯乙烯-双烯A交联共聚过程的转化率曲线。通过研究发现,凝胶在交联共聚一开始就产生,且整个反应过程都在不断地生成;转化率40%以前几乎无溶胶生成,此后生成的溶胶仍不断地向凝胶转化;刚生成溶胶时其分子量高、分布窄,其后分子量变低、分布变宽;T_g以上温度的热处理发生进一步聚合反应,当双烯A摩尔浓度<3.3×10~(-4)时,溶胶分数增加,A-MA摩尔浓度>5.0×10~(-4)时,凝胶分数增加,这是双烯A悬吊双键及单体苯乙烯进一步反应的结果。  相似文献

An inorganic-organic hybrid material system consisting of (3-glycidyloxypropyl)trimethoxysilane, dimethyldimethoxysilane and zirconium(IV) n-propoxide was prepared by the sol-gel method. The influence of processing parameters including Zr content, UV irradiation and sol ageing on the thermal stability of the resultant thin films was characterised by thermogravimetry. It was demonstrated that the crosslinking of epoxy groups in the structure was the primary reason for variation in the thermal stability of the system. As Zr and/or UV irradiation may be employed to crosslink the epoxy groups in the structure, the thermal stability of the system can be tuned by the optimal combination of these two crosslinking methods.  相似文献

Two ethylene–octene copolymers (POE) were irradiated with 60Co gamma radiation and influence of irradiation atmosphere, absorbed dose and heat treatment of samples on the crosslinking were studied. Thermal properties and crystalline morphology of non-irradiated and irradiated POE were determined by using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and wide-angle X-ray diffraction (WAXS), respectively. The Charlesby–Pinner equation was used to describe the relationship between absorbed dose and sol fraction. The gel fraction of irradiated POE was lower and decreased with the increase of octene content when irradiated in oxygen, compared to irradiation in nitrogen atmosphere. The gel fraction increased significantly with the increasing of absorbed dose for the two copolymers. Heat treatment of samples prohibited the crosslinking of irradiated POE. The DSC results indicated that a subtle change of thermal properties of POE was observed before and after gamma irradiation at low dose. No change was found from the WAXS spectra of non-irradiated and irradiated POE. For heat-treating samples, the Charlesby–Pinner equation can not fit perfectly with the relationship between the sol fraction and absorbed dose, but it fits well with the crosslinking reaction of POE pellets.  相似文献

Controlled rheology polypropylene grades are established commodities in the polymer processing market. However, new types, mainly the so-called high melt strength polypropylene (HMSPP) grades, are being introduced in the last two decades and radiation processing has played an important role. The melt strength properties of a polymer increases with molecular weight and with long-chain branching due to the increase in the entanglement level. As polypropylene (PP) is a linear polymer, the way to improve its elongational viscosity is by the production of a bi-modal polymer. Basell's patents claim the production of long-chain branching on PP by irradiating with electrons under oxygen free atmosphere, followed by two heating steps to allow radical recombination and annihilation reaction. Some other companies have issued patents using electron beam processing, but so far there is no actual production other than the Basell one. As a result of a research joint effort, IPEN, BRASKEM (the biggest Brazilian polymer producer) and EMBRARAD (the major Brazilian radiation processing center) developed a new process to produce HMSPP based on gamma processing. This paper will address some characteristics of each technology and the main industrial opportunities.  相似文献

通过凝胶和溶胶分析与分子量测定的方法,研究了不同体系下,"OH对PDMS乳液γ辐射效应的影响.结果表明,"OH不仅可引发聚二甲基硅氧烷的分子间交联,也能促进其降解.对于纯PDMS乳液,在所研究的剂量范围内,"OH对其辐射交联行为影响较小.但若体系中加入H2O2、KIO4和N2O这些提高"OH生成产额的添加剂时,"OH对PDMS的促降解作用会随着吸收剂量增加而表现更明显,导致凝胶含量与纯乳液辐照情况相比下降较多.即使加入交联剂-三羟甲基丙烷三甲基丙烯酸酯(TMPTMA),在过量的"OH存在下,当吸收剂量大于40kGy以上时,TMPTMA不仅没有提高交联度,反而会与"OH协同,使PDMS的凝胶含量下降更显著,同时产生更多的小分子聚合物,并使PDMS的平均分子量分布变窄.这可能是由于交联剂首先与"OH作用,形成的产物会加快PDMS的降解.  相似文献
