Dr. Shanahan has published two papers (Thermochim. Acta 428 (2005) 207, Thermochim. Acta 382 (2002) 95) in which he argues that excess heat claimed to be produced by cold fusion is actually caused by errors in heat measurement. In particular, he proposes that unrecognized changes in the calibration constant are produced by changes in the locations where heat is being generated within the electrolytic cell over the duration of the measurement. Because these papers may lend unwarranted support to rejection of cold fusion claims, these erroneous arguments used by Shanahan need to be answered.  相似文献

Summary A rapid and accurate LC method is described for simultaneous determination of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride (PSE), acetaminophen (AMP), dextromethorphen hydrobromide (DEX), and diphenhydramine hydrochloride (DPH) in a compound formulation. Chromatographic separation of the four drugs was achieved on a Hypersil CN column (150 mm × 4.6 mm, 5 m particle) by use of a mobile phase comprising a mixture of 3 mM ion-pairing solution, 2% aqueous triethylamine solution, and 2 M phosphoric acid, 68:48:88 (v/v), pH 3.0, delivered at 1.0 mL min–1. Compounds were detected at 215 nm and the run time was less than 10 min. The linearity, accuracy, and precision of the method were found to be acceptable over the concentration ranges 6.1–36.4 g mL–1 for PSE, 65.0–390.0 g mL–1 for AMP, 3.1–18.6 g mL–1 for DEX, and 5.0–30.0 g mL–1 for DPH.  相似文献

A Pluta polarizing interference microscope with a fibre stretching device attached was used to detect the changes in molecular structure that occur during the fibre cold drawing process. Fibres drawn with low draw ratios show different types of deformation mechanisms. The interference patterns recorded at different draw ratios are used to relate the deformation mechanisms with the measured structural parameters. Some optical parameters are measured such as; refractive indices nand n birefringence n, the polarizability per unit volume , the orientation distribution function f(θ), the angle θ between the stretching direction and the chain axis, and the angle θm which the transition dipole moment of the molecular species makes with the molecular axis (chain axis). Three polymeric fibres (Polyethylene terephthalate PET, Polypropylene PP and Polyamide PA) were used in this study and their interferograms are illustrated.  相似文献

通过俘获光频率调制,实现了铯冷原子荧光的锁相探测,得到了荧光谱信噪比改善52倍的结果.研究了锁相解调参量与荧光谱信噪比的关系;当灵敏度为1 mV和时间常量为1 s时,获得最大信噪比为204的荧光信号.  相似文献

 为了满足惯性约束聚变(ICF)和状态方程(EOS)实验以及靶装配工艺的需要,在薄膜轧制过程中间以及轧制工艺完成以后需要对镍膜进行热处理来改善其组织结构和力学性能。对多辊轧机冷轧的方法制备的厚11 mm镍膜中间退火工艺进行了研究,根据确定的合适的退火工艺退火后继续轧制得到成品镍膜厚7 mm,表面粗糙度小于50 nm,基本满足目前状态方程实验对箔膜的要求。金相显微照片表明镍膜晶粒经500 ℃保温1 h退火由轧制前的条带状变为等轴晶;镍膜硬度经500 ℃退火后由4 GPa降低到了2.3 GPa左右;XRD衍射测试表明镍膜经500 ℃以上温度退火后,高角度的衍射峰开始出现,织构得到一定程度的改善。由此可以确定镍膜合适的中间退火温度为520 ℃保温1 h。  相似文献

以榛子一年生枝条为试材,利用原子吸收光谱法和电导法分别测定与分析榛子3个种(6个无性系)不同低温处理后的K+渗出率和电解质渗出率,并建立了各无性系的低温-K+渗出率及低温–电解质渗出率回归模型。结果表明:利用2种方法综合评价各无性系抗寒能力结果一致,原子吸收光谱法测定K+渗出率指标可作为榛子无性系抗寒性的一种早期鉴定手段;6个无性系抗寒性大小排序为:C7R7>Z-9-40>C6R1>CS2R1>Z-9-22>Z-9-30,3个种的抗寒性强弱顺序为:平榛>平平欧杂交榛>平欧杂交榛;各无性系半致死温度在-26~40 ℃之间。  相似文献

The technique to weld AISI 304 stainless steel to AISI 420 stainless steel with a pulsed Nd:YAG laser has been investigated. The main objective of this study was to determine the influence of the laser beam position, with respect to the joint, on weld characteristics. Specimens were welded with the laser beam incident on the joint and moved 0.1 and 0.2 mm on either side of the joint. The joints were examined in an optical microscope for cracks, pores and to determine the weld geometry. The microstructure of the weld and the heat affected zones were observed in a scanning electron microscope. An energy dispersive spectrometer, coupled to the scanning electron microscope, was used to determine variations in (weight %) the main chemical elements across the fillet weld. Vickers microhardness testing and tensile testing were carried out to determine the mechanical properties of the weld. The results of the various tests and examinations enabled definition of the best position for the incident laser beam with respect to the joint, for welding together the two stainless steels.  相似文献

演示了一种基于单壁碳纳米管(SWCNTs)-聚合物自组装复合膜的光纤错位型氨气传感器。通过层层自组装技术在高Q谐振器上涂覆薄膜,薄膜上存在大量的游离羧基以及较大的比表面积,这提供了光与薄膜之间的强相互作用,以及对氨气的高吸附性和选择性。光谱随氨气浓度影响的有效折射率而变化。在(10~37) ×10−6的低浓度范围内,光谱变化与氨气浓度差之比即灵敏度为13.25 pm/10−6,检测极限为3.77 ×10−6并且具有良好的线性。这项工作研制为低浓度和高选择性氨气传感器提供了一种有效的方法。  相似文献

The current density (JE), the piecewise linear recursive convolution (PLRC) and the constant convolution recursive (CRC) techniques are developed and integrated into the transmission line matrix (TLM) algorithm. A comparison of these three schemes according to the criteria of accuracy and CPU time is presented. Numerical experiments show that JE provides the most accurate solution and requires the least CPU time; PLRC is nearly as accurate but consumes more CPU time than CRC.  相似文献

In this work we present an optical lattice setup to realize a full Dirac Hamiltonian in 2+1 dimensions. We show how all possible external potentials coupled to the Dirac field can arise from perturbations of the existing couplings of the honeycomb lattice pattern. This greatly simplifies the proposed implementations, requiring only spatial modulations of the intensity of the laser beams to induce complex non-Abelian potentials. We finally suggest several experiments to observe the properties of the quantum field theory in the setup.  相似文献
