Noninferior Nash Strategies for Multi-Team Systems

This paper is concerned with the optimization of systems that are controlled by several teams of decision makers. The decision makers within each team cooperate for the benefit of their team. On the other hand, the teams compete among themselves in order to achieve an objective that relates to the overall performance of the system. An approach that merges concepts from team theory and game theory for dealing with such systems and a solution called the noninferior Nash strategy are introduced. This multi-team solution provides a new framework for analyzing hierarchically controlled systems so as to address complicated coordination problems among the decision makers. The properties of the noninferior Nash solution in static multi-team systems are investigated and necessary conditions for its existence are derived. Analytical expressions for the noninferior Nash strategies are derived for a class of linear-quadratic static multi-team games. In order to deal with the issue of nonuniqueness of the solution, the concept of a noninferior Nash strategy with a team leader is introduced. Several examples are presented to illustrate the results.     

Nonequilibrium Statistical Thermodynamics of Two Dissipative Processes in Solids: Energy Losses of Channeled Particles at Low Velocities and Ultrasound Absorption by Conduction Electrons

We use methods of nonequilibrium statistical thermodynamics to investigate two dissipative processes in solids. We find the electron energy losses of a particle moving in a planar channeling regime and the sound absorption coefficient in metals under electron impurity scattering. The oscillator model is used to analyze the contribution from the effect of electron entrainment by a moving scattering center to the total dissipated energy. We investigate the frequency and temperature dependence of energy losses and also the dependence of the absorption coefficient on the sound wave vector.

Lattice path combinatorics and asymptotics of multiplicities of weights in tensor powers

We give asymptotic formulas for the multiplicities of weights and irreducible summands in high-tensor powers V_λ^⊗N of an irreducible representation V_λ of a compact connected Lie group G. The weights are allowed to depend on N, and we obtain several regimes of pointwise asymptotics, ranging from a central limit region to a large deviations region. We use a complex steepest descent method that applies to general asymptotic counting problems for lattice paths with steps in a convex polytope.     

Maximal σ‐polynomials of connected 3‐chromatic graphs

In the set of graphs of order n and chromatic number k the following partial order relation is defined. One says that a graph G is less than a graph H if c_i(G) ≤ c_i(H) holds for every i, k ≤ i ≤ n and at least one inequality is strict, where c_i(G) denotes the number of i‐color partitions of G. In this paper the first ? n/2 ? levels of the diagram of the partially ordered set of connected 3‐chromatic graphs of order n are described. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. N[a,b]类中边界Nevanlinna-Pick插值(I)

用所谓的Hankel向量方法求解N[a,b]函数类中带边界插值数据的Nevanlina-Pick插值(BNP(N[a,b]))问题,并建立BNP(N[a,b])问题与[a,b]上的某种带约束条件的Hausdorff矩量问题之间等价的可解条件以及解之间明确的一一对应关系.这使得当BNP(N[a,b])问题有多解时,能通过带约束条件的矩量问题的可解性准则和解获得BNP(N[a,b])问题的可解性准则和解的参数化描述,而在唯一解的情况下,通过BNP(N[a,b])问题解的存在唯一性准则和唯一解来获得带约束条件的     

On Two Theorems of Finite Solvable Groups

For a finite group G, let T（G） denote a set of primes such that a prime p belongs to T（G） if and only if p is a divisor of the index of some maximal subgroup of G. It is proved that if G satisfies any one of the following conditions： （1） G has a p-complement for each p∈T（G）; （2）│T（G）│= 2： （3） the normalizer of a Sylow p-subgroup of G has prime power index for each odd prime p∈T（G）; then G either is solvable or G/Sol（G）≌PSL（2, 7） where Sol（G） is the largest solvable normal subgroup of G.     

Shape Hessian for generalized Oseen flow by differentiability of a minimax: A Lagrangian approach

The goal of this paper is to compute the shape Hessian for a generalized Oseen problem with nonhomogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition by the velocity method. The incompressibility will be treated by penalty approach. The structure of the shape gradient and shape Hessian with respect to the shape of the variable domain for a given cost functional are established by an application of the Lagrangian method with function space embedding technique. 推导了高斯光束照射圆孔或圆盘的衍射场普遍表达式，计算了半波带数接近于零的情况下上述衍射场的数据，进而分析了圆盘衍射场在艾里斑中增加一个暗环的原因。
