The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of parameter changes that can potentially lead to unreliable measurements in fat quantification. Chemical shift imaging was performed using spoiled gradient echo sequences with systematic variations in the following: two-dimensional/three-dimensional sequence, number of echoes, delta echo time, fractional echo factor, slice thickness, repetition time, flip angle, bandwidth, matrix size, flow compensation and field strength. Results indicated no significant (or significant but small) changes in fat fraction with parameter. The significant changes can be attributed to the known effects of T1 bias and two forms of noise bias.  相似文献

A predator–prey model with disease amongst the prey and ratio‐dependent functional response for both infected and susceptible prey is proposed and its features analysed. This work is based on previous mathematical models to analyse the important ecosystem of the Salton Sea in Southern California and New Mexico where birds (particularly pelicans) prey on fish (particularly tilapia). The dynamics of the system around each of the ecologically meaningful equilibria are presented. Natural disease control is considered before studying the impact of the disease in the absence of predators and the interaction of predators and healthy prey and the disease effects on predators in the absence of healthy prey. In this paper, we consider the strongly nonlinear Nernst–Planck equations coupled with the quasi‐linear Poisson equation under inhomogeneous, moreover, nonlinear boundary conditions. This system describes joint multi‐component electrokinetics in a pore phase. The system is supplemented by the force balance and by the volume and positivity constraints. We establish well‐posedness of the problem in the variational setting. Namely, we prove the existence theorem supported by the energy and the entropy a‐priori estimates, and we provide the Lyapunov stability of the solution as well as its uniqueness in special cases. In this paper, stability and bifurcation of a two‐dimensional ratio‐dependence predator–prey model has been studied in the close first quadrant . It is proved that the model undergoes a period‐doubling bifurcation in a small neighborhood of a boundary equilibrium and moreover, Neimark–Sacker bifurcation occurs at a unique positive equilibrium. We study the Neimark–Sacker bifurcation at unique positive equilibrium by choosing b as a bifurcation parameter. Some numerical simulations are presented to illustrate theocratical results. In this paper, we investigate the asymptotic stability of a composite wave consisting of two traveling waves to a Keller–Segel chemotaxis model with logarithmic sensitivity and nonzero chemical diffusion. We show that the composite wave is asymptotically stable under general initial perturbation, which only be needed small in H1‐norm. This improves previous results. In this paper, we investigate a Vector‐Borne disease model with nonlinear incidence rate and 2 delays: One is the incubation period in the vectors and the other is the incubation period in the host. Under the biologically motivated assumptions, we show that the global dynamics are completely determined by the basic reproduction number R0. The disease‐free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable if R0≤1; when R0>1, the system is uniformly persistent, and there exists a unique endemic equilibrium that is globally asymptotically. Numerical simulations are conducted to illustrate the theoretical results.  相似文献

In this paper, we provide a detailed convergence analysis for fully discrete second‐order (in both time and space) numerical schemes for nonlocal Allen‐Cahn and nonlocal Cahn‐Hilliard equations. The unconditional unique solvability and energy stability ensures ? 4 stability. The convergence analysis for the nonlocal Allen‐Cahn equation follows the standard procedure of consistency and stability estimate for the numerical error function. For the nonlocal Cahn‐Hilliard equation, because of the complicated form of the nonlinear term, a careful expansion of its discrete gradient is undertaken, and an H ?1 inner‐product estimate of this nonlinear numerical error is derived to establish convergence. In addition, an a priori bound of the numerical solution at the discrete level is needed in the error estimate. Such a bound can be obtained by performing a higher order consistency analysis by using asymptotic expansions for the numerical solution. Following the technique originally proposed by Strang (eg, 1964), instead of the standard comparison between the exact and numerical solutions, an error estimate between the numerical solution and the constructed approximate solution yields an O (s 3+h 4) convergence in norm, in which s and h denote the time step and spatial mesh sizes, respectively. This in turn leads to the necessary bound under a standard constraint s C h . Here, we also prove convergence of the scheme in the maximum norm under the same constraint.  相似文献

In this paper, the problem of stability in terms of two measures is considered for a class of stochastic partial differential delay equations with switching. Sufficient conditions for stability in terms of two measures are obtained based on the technique of constructing a proper approximating strong solution system and conducting a limiting type of argument to pass on stability of strong solutions to mild ones. In particular, the stochastic stability under the fixed‐index sequence monotonicity condition and under the average dwell‐time switching are considered.  相似文献
