In this paper, we study evolution of the universe in the background of f(R, T) gravity using LRS Bianchi type-Ⅰ model. We discuss scale factors as well as deceleration parameter in dark energy dominated era for different bulk viscosity models. The occurrence of big-rip singularity is also examined. It is concluded that expansion is faster when bulk viscosity is proportional to Hubble parameter as compared to other models.  相似文献

Kahweol, a compound from Coffea arabica, possesses antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antitumour properties. However, an anti-adipogenic effect has not yet been reported. In this study, we have shown that kahweol has an anti-adipogenic effect on 3T3-L1 adipocytes. Kahweol significantly inhibited the differentiation of intracellular lipid accumulation in 3T3-L1 adipocytes, without being cytotoxic. It also downregulated the expression of adipogenesis-related gene, including an adipocytokine, adiponectin. This anti-adipogenic effect stems from an ability to inhibit key adipogenic regulators, including PPARγ and C/EBPα. These results demonstrate that kahweol significantly inhibits the differentiation of 3T3-L1 cells, and suggest that it has potential as a novel anti-obesity treatment.  相似文献

Solvent effects in homogeneous catalysis are known to affect catalytic activity. Whilst these effects are often described using qualitative features, such as Kamlet-Taft parameters, experimental tools able to quantify and reveal in more depth such effects have remained unexplored. In this work, PFG NMR diffusion and T1 relaxation measurements have been carried out to probe solvent effects in the homogeneous catalytic reduction of propionaldehyde to 1-propanol in the presence of aluminium isopropoxide catalyst. Using data on diffusion coefficients it was possible to estimate trends in aggregation of different solvents. The results show that solvents with a high hydrogen-bond accepting ability, such as ethers, tend to form larger aggregates, which slow down the molecular dynamics of aldehyde molecules, as also suggested by T1 measurements, and preventing their access to the catalytic sites, which results in the observed decrease of catalytic activity. Conversely, weakly interacting solvents, such as alkanes, do not lead to the formation of such aggregates, hence allowing easy access of the aldehyde molecules to the catalytic sites, resulting in higher catalytic activity. The work reported here is a clear example on how combining traditional catalyst screening in homogeneous catalysis with NMR diffusion and relaxation time measurements can lead to new physico-chemical insights into such systems by providing data able to quantify aggregation phenomena and molecular dynamics.  相似文献

A mechanism for photographitization of a free diamond surface is proposed. The quantum-kinetic rate of this process is determined. The graphitization rate is close to zero if the activation energy of the graphitization process is taken as being equal to the binding energy of a carbon atom with the surface (i.e. equal to the sublimation energy of a carbon atom). On the contrary, if the activation energy is close to the energy of C–C bonds, the graphitization process may occur at a noticeable rate and be observed under ‘relatively smooth’ experimental conditions. The temperature rise leads to a considerable increase in the graphitization rates. Preliminary experimental data on the low-rate laser ablation of diamond are presented to support the proposed model of photographitization. An early stage of laser-induced graphitization in the bulk of diamond is also considered. It is found that the nucleation of a ‘tiny graphite drop’ is possible in the bulk of the diamond inside the focal area of a laser beam; the ‘graphite drop’ growth causing the appearance of mechanical stresses in the surrounding regions. The maximum size of the graphite drop is determined, which, when exceeded, leads to mechanical damage of the sample and to a change in the mechanism of laser graphitization. An evident mechanical criterion for laser-induced damage of diamond is proposed. It was founded using the magneto-optical technique that the domain wall in the iron-based amorphous ferromagnet in its movement experienced enhanced deceleration on the surface compared to the volume. The surface deceleration of the wall intensifies under water molecules adsorption on the sample surface. The acetone molecule is investigated in its ground state and valence 1,3n-π*, 1,3π-π*, and 1,3σ-π* excited states and Rydberg 1,3n-3s, 1,3π-3?, 1,3n-3py and 1,3π-3py states using the CASSCF, CASPT2, and CCSD(T) methods. Equilibrium geometries of excited states are obtained and their changes with respect to the ground state are discussed. For most excited states the C2v symmetry of the ground state is lowered to the Cs symmetry. A series of valence vertical and adiabatic excitation energies is presented along with excitation energies for Rydberg states. The main body of the paper contains Finite-Field Perturbation Theory (FFPT) calculations of electric properties of the vertically as well as geometry relaxed excited states. Dipole moments of valence excited states decrease significantly upon excitation, being about one half of the ground state dipole moment. Polarizabilities usually change upon excitation much less (increase by about 30%) but hyperpolarizabilities are enhanced up to one or two orders of magnitude. The orientation of the dipole moment is reversed in some vertically excited Rydberg states. Properties of the ground and excited states are discussed considering alterations of the electronic structure and shifts in the geometry.  相似文献

The adiabatic Shinnar–Le Roux (SLR) algorithm for radiofrequency (RF) pulse design enables systematic control of pulse parameters such as bandwidth, RF energy distribution and duration. Some applications, such as diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) at high magnetic fields, would benefit from RF pulses that can provide greater B1 insensitivity while adhering to echo time and specific absorption rate (SAR) limits. In this study, the adiabatic SLR algorithm was employed to generate 6-ms and 4-ms 180° semi-adiabatic RF pulses which were used to replace the refocusing pulses in a twice-refocused spin echo (TRSE) diffusion-weighted echo planar imaging (DW-EPI) sequence to create two versions of a twice-refocused adiabatic spin echo (TRASE) sequence. The two versions were designed for different trade-offs between adiabaticity and echo time. Since a pair of identical refocusing pulses is applied, the quadratic phase imposed by the first is unwound by the second, preserving the linear phase created by the excitation pulse. In vivo images of the human brain obtained at 7 Testa (7 T) demonstrate that both versions of the TRASE sequence developed in this study achieve more homogeneous signal in the diffusion-weighted images than the conventional TRSE sequence. Semi-adiabatic SLR pulses offer a more B1-insensitive solution for diffusion preparation at 7 T, while operating within SAR constraints. This method may be coupled with any EPI readout trajectory and parallel imaging scheme to provide more uniform coverage for diffusion tensor imaging at 7 T and 3 T.  相似文献
