Solubility parameter determination of cationic surfactants by inverse GC

Summary The solubility parameters of cationic surfactants were obtained using the inverse gas chromatographic technique. The surfactants didodecyl dimethyl ammonium bromide, dioctadecyl dimethyl ammonium bromide and dodecyl pyridinium chloride were used as stationary phase and retention data of different probe solutes were measured at different temperatures. The results were analysed by the combination of Flory-Huggins and Hildebrand theories, and the solubility parameters of the surfactants were obtained in a range of temperatures between 80–120°C.     

Phase and Amplitude Characteristics of Injection Lasers with Allowance for the Effects of Nonlinear Amplification in Current Modulation

The influence of the parameter of amplitude-phase coupling for nonlinear amplification on the phase-frequency characteristics of an injection laser in the regime of pumping current modulation has been investigated theoretically. The parameter is defined as the coefficient of proportionality between changes in the real and imaginary parts of the refractive index during variation of the density of photons in the cavity. The substantial dependence of the coefficient of phase modulation on the parameter of the amplitude-phase coupling for nonlinear amplification at small modulation frequencies is shown. A technique to determine the indicated parameter based on the frequency dependence of the ratio between the coefficients of phase and amplitude modulation is suggested.

Determination of the electric field gradient asymmetry from Berry’s phase in NQR of powder samples

An effect of Berry’s phase on the NQR spectrum of the rotating powder sample is described and applied for the determination of the electric field gradient asymmetry. The proposed method involves the analysis of the frequency singularities in the NQR powder patterns of the rotating samples. The Berry’s phases for the eigenstates, associated with an adiabatically changing quadrupole hamiltonian, are calculated for nuclei with a spin I = 3/2 and I = 1 as a function of the asymmetry parameter.     

D∞-APPROXIMATION OF PRODUCT VARIATIONS OF TWO PARAMETER SMOOTH SEMIMARTINGALES

Let X be a two parameter smooth semimartingale and (~X) be its process of the product variation. It is proved that (~X) can be approximated as D∞-limit of sums of its discrete product variations as the mesh of division tends to zero. Moreover, this result can be strengthen to yield the quasi sure convergence of sums by estimating the speed of the convergence.     

关于奇ATm核1/2+[411]转动带的系统分析

壳模型计算表明,1/2⁺[411]出现于¹⁵⁷Tm核的基态可能是由非轴对称形变造成的.但是新近从¹⁵⁷Yb衰变纲图给出的¹⁵⁷Tm低激发谱中,指认了一个建立在1/2⁺[411]带头上的基态转动带,并认为该带的性质是轴对称的,提取了该带的惯性参数与脱耦合参数.通过对奇ATm核1/2⁺[411]转动带的系统分析,强调了在¹⁵⁷Tm核中非轴对称γ自由度效应的重要性.     

Analysis of atomic arrangement in magnetic Fe–Pt nanoparticles

The order parameter S of Fe–Pt nanoparticles is estimated from X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns. The total intensity of a diffraction peak is obtained by Rietveld analysis as well as simply integrating the intensity. The Rietveld analysis is found to provide a plausible value of S even for a sample showing an XRD pattern with broad and overlapped peaks. Another order parameter Q, which is obtained from Mössbauer spectra, is introduced, and it is confirmed that Q is equivalent to the probability of Fe atoms being in the L1₀-type atomic arrangement. The coercivity of Fe–Pt nanoparticles is directly proportional to Q, while it vanishes at S=0.4, indicating that the magnetic property of Fe–Pt nanoparticles has a closer relationship to Q than S.     

CSR外靶实验终端中子流测量的模拟

随着兰州重离子加速器冷却储存环(HIRFL-CSR)外靶实验终端中子墙的建立, 为实验测量高能中子提供了机遇. 为确定CSR外靶实验终端对中子流测量的可行性, 基于BUU理论模型分别对对称系统(Ni+Ni, Pb+Pb)和非对称系统(Pb+Ni)进行了模拟计算, 发现当系统能量达到几百MeV/u时, 中子流信号相当明显, 并与碰撞参数有明显的依赖关系. 模拟结果表明, 在前角20°的覆盖范围内, 可以较好地实现中子流测量所需要的反应平面确定及碰撞参数选择. 对双击事件及其对中子流的影响进行了简单的讨论.     

On the Log-Laplace Equation for Nonlocal Operators Generating Sub-Markovian Semigroups

We consider the semilinear Cauchy problem for a class of pseudo-differential operators generating sub-Markovian semigroups. Solutions of such problems with negative definite nonlinearity play an important role in constructing branching measure-valued processes. We establish local existence and uniqueness of solutions in the context of the Dirichlet space associated to the problem. Comparison and global properties of solutions are also studied.
