Peptides—XXXV: Synthesis of the 17–26 fragment of a lysozyme analogue

The fully protected 17–26 fragment of a lysozyme analogue has been synthesised. A fragment condensation approach has been employed using the protected subfragments 17–19, 20–22 and 23–26. In the synthesis of the subfragments the use of the diphenylphosphinyl mixed anhydride method has been demonstrated.

Based on a scheme by Lau and Ngai, a sufficient and necessary condition for an IFS of contractive similitudes to satisfy the open set condition is given. A class of Sierpinski carpets with parameters (λ₁,λ₂) is then investigated.

Analyzing Risky Choices: Q‐learning for Deal‐No‐Deal

In this paper, we derive an optimal strategy for the popular Deal or No Deal game show. To do this, we use Q‐learning methods, which quantify the continuation value inherent in sequential decision making in the game. We then analyze two contestants, Frank and Susanne, risky choices from the European version of the game. Given their choices and our optimal strategy, we find what their implied bounds would be on their levels of risk aversion. Previous empirical evidence in risky decision making has suggested that past outcomes affect future choices and that contestants have time‐varying risk aversion. We demonstrate that the strategies of Frank and Susanne are consistent with constant risk aversion levels except for their final risk‐seeking choice. We conclude with directions for future research. <正>Weighted Estimates for Multilinear Pseudodifferential Operators Kang Wei LI;;Wen Chang SUN Abstract In this paper,we study the weighted estimates for multilinear pseudodifferential operators.We show that a multilinear pseudodifferential operator is bounded with respect to multiple weights whenever its symbol satisfies some smoothness and decay conditions.Our result generalizes similar ones from the classical A_p weights to multiple weights.Trigonometric Series With a Generalized Monotonicity Condition

研究了Ｂｏｘ－样条曲面的控制点与Ｂｏｘ－样条曲面的正性之间的关系．给出了Ｂｏｘ－样条曲面正性的必要条件、充分条件．由此我们得到了Ｂｏｘ－样条曲面的单调性条件，推广了Ｗ．ＤＡＨＭＥＮ和Ｃ．Ａ．ＭＩＣＣＨＥＬＬＩ在文［２］中给出的Ｂｏｘ－样条曲面的单调性结论
