A reaction between 4,4′,4″-(benzene-1,3,5-triyltris(oxy))triphthalic acid (H6L) and lanthanide(III) nitrates (Ln = Eu3+, Tb3+) in water under the same conditions gave a molecular coordination compound [Tb(H4.5L)2(H2O)5]∙6H2O in the case of terbium(III) and a one-dimensional linear coordination polymer {[Eu2(H3L)2(H2O)6]∙8H2O}n in the case of europium(III). The crystal structures of both compounds were established by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, and they were further characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis and infrared spectroscopy. The compounds demonstrated characteristic lanthanide-centered photoluminescence. The lanthanide-dependent dimensionality of the synthesized compounds, which are the first examples of the coordination compounds of hexacarboxylic acid H6L demonstrates its potential as a linker for new coordination polymers.  相似文献

A series of phenylsilsesquioxane-benzoate heptacopper complexes 1–3 were synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography. Two parallel routes of toluene spontaneous oxidation (into benzyl alcohol and benzoate) assisted the formation of the cagelike structure 1. A unique multi-ligation of copper ions (from (i) silsesquioxane, (ii) benzoate, (iii) benzyl alcohol, (iv) pyridine, (v) dimethyl-formamide and (vi) water ligands) was found in 1. Directed self-assembly using benzoic acid as a reactant afforded complexes 2–3 with the same main structural features as for 1, namely heptanuclear core coordinated by (i) two distorted pentameric cyclic silsesquioxane and (ii) four benzoate ligands, but featuring other solvate surroundings. Complex 3 was evaluated as a catalyst for the oxidation of alkanes to alkyl hydroperoxides and alcohols to ketones with hydrogen peroxide and tert-butyl hydroperoxide, respectively, at 50 °C in acetonitrile. The maximum yield of cyclohexane oxidation products as high as 32% was attained. The oxidation reaction results in a mixture of cyclohexyl hydroperoxide, cyclohexanol, and cyclohexanone. Upon the addition of triphenylphosphine, the cyclohexyl hydroperoxide is completely converted to cyclohexanol. The specific regio- and chemoselectivity in the oxidation of n-heptane and methylcyclohexane, respectively, indicate the involvement of of hydroxyl radicals. Complex 3 exhibits a high activity in the oxidation of alcohols.  相似文献

The pathogenic form of thermophilic Naegleria sp. i.e., Naegleria fowleri, also known as brain eating amoeba, causes primary amoebic encephalitis (PAM) with a >97% fatality rate. To date, there are no specific drugs identified to treat this disease specifically. The present antimicrobial combinatorial chemotherapy is hard on many patients, especially children. Interestingly, Naegleria fowleri has complex lipid biosynthesis pathways like other protists and also has a strong preference to utilize absorbed host lipids for generating energy. The ergosterol biosynthesis pathway provides a unique drug target opportunity, as some of the key enzymes involved in this pathway are absent in humans. Sterol 24-C Methyltransferase (SMT) is one such enzyme that is not found in humans. To select novel inhibitors for this enzyme, alkaloids and terpenoids inhibitors were screened and tested against two isozymes of SMT identified in N. gruberi (non-pathogenic) as well as its homolog found in yeast, i.e., ERG6. Five natural product derived inhibitors i.e., Cyclopamine, Chelerythrine, Berberine, Tanshinone 2A, and Catharanthine have been identified as potential drug candidates based on multiple criteria including binding affinity, ADME scores, absorption, and, most importantly, its ability to cross the blood brain barrier. This study provides multiple leads for future drug exploration against Naegleria fowleri.  相似文献

Porous networks of Pt nanoparticles interlinked by bifunctional organic ligands have shown high potential as catalysts in micro-machined hydrogen gas sensors. By varying the ligand among p-phenylenediamine, benzidine, 4,4‘‘-diamino-p-terphenyl, 1,5-diaminonaphthalene, and trans-1,4-diaminocyclohexane, new variants of such networks were synthesized. Inter-particle distances within the networks, determined via transmission electron microscopy tomography, varied from 0.8 to 1.4 nm in accordance with the nominal length of the respective ligand. While stable structures with intact and coordinatively bonded diamines were formed with all ligands, aromatic diamines showed superior thermal stability. The networks exhibited mesoporous structures depending on ligand and synthesis strategy and performed well as catalysts in hydrogen gas microsensors. They demonstrate the possibility of deliberately tuning micro- and mesoporosity and thereby transport properties and steric demands by choice of the right ligand also for other applications in heterogeneous catalysis.  相似文献

Novel l -tartaric acid based stereodynamic biphenylbisphosphinite ligands with anilino linkers were prepared as cyclic diamide compounds. The influence of the constitutional substitution pattern of the amino group at the aniline moiety on the diastereoselective formation of the ligand was investigated. While the meta-anilino bridged ligands showed a highly dynamic behavior and no discrimination between (Rax) and (Sax) configuration, l -tartaric acid substitution on ortho-anilino bridged ligands leads to diastereoselective self-alignment of the central biphenol axis, which controls the stereoselectivity of the ligand and catalyst. The experimental findings were corroborated by theoretical calculations. In the rhodium-catalyzed enantioselective hydrogenation of methyl 2-acetamidoacrylate (MAA), an enantiomeric ratio of 75 : 25 (R/S) was obtained for the ortho-substituted ligand.  相似文献

Without solvents present, the often far-from-equilibrium environment in a mechanochemically driven synthesis can generate high-energy, non-stoichiometric products not observed from the same ratio of reagents used in solution. Ball milling 2 equiv. K[A’] (A’=[1,3-(SiMe3)2C3H3]) with CaI2 yields a non-stoichiometric calciate, K[CaA’3], which initially forms a structure ( 1 ) likely containing a mixture of pi- and sigma-bound allyl ligands. Dissolved in arenes, the compound rearranges over the course of several days to a structure ( 2 ) with only η3-bound allyl ligands, and that can be crystallized as a coordination polymer. If dissolved in alkanes, however, the rearrangement of 1 to 2 occurs within minutes. The structures of 1 and 2 have been modeled with DFT calculations, and 2 initiates the anionic polymerization of methyl methacrylate and isoprene; for the latter, under the mildest conditions yet reported for a heavy Group 2 species (one-atm pressure and room temperature).  相似文献

The reaction of 1,2,4,5-tetrakis(diphenylphosphino)pyridine (L) with Re(CO)5Br (in a molar ratio of 1:2) leads to the bis-chelated complex [Re2(CO)6(L)Br2] in 95% yield. At ambient temperature, the solid complex exhibits green phosphorescence (λmax = 535 nm) with a quantum yield of 12% and a lifetime of 90 μs.  相似文献

The chemical properties of 8,18-disubstituted 6,16-diphenyl-1,2,3,11,12,13-tetrahydrodibenzo[g,o]-4,14-dioxa-1,5,11,15-tetraazahexadecine-2,12-diones have been studied, including their interaction with N-nucleophiles (hydroxylamine, hydrazine, semicarbazide, and thiosemicarbazide), acidic and alkaline hydrolysis, and methylation. A hypothesis has been made from analysis of the mass spectral data of the thiosemicarbazide on the preferred existence of 6-substituted 4-phenylquinazoline-2-carbaldehydes in the gas phase as the linear tautomer.  相似文献
