The preparation of nano‐scope chitosan‐oligomer copper complexes and their interaction with DNA

Water‐soluble low molecular weight chitosan of nanometer level and its copper complexes were prepared, and characterized by IR spectra, elemental analysis and gel permeation chromatography (GPC). The modes and mechanism of these copper complexes interaction with DNA were studied by a fluorescent probe method and electrophoresis analysis. It is suggested that there are electrostatic and intercalation modes of copper complexes interacting with DNA. At first, the cationic complex electrostaticly binds to the negatively charged phosphate backbone of DNA, and then a portion of the complex intercalates between the base pairs on the DNA duplex strand. Rational synthesis of covalently bonded organic-inorganic hybrids

Hybrid materials based on covalently linked inorganic polyoxometalates (POMs) and organic species containing a delocalized pi system have drawn increasing attention. These hybrids, traditionally prepared by cluster assembly approaches that lack predictability and controllability, can now be synthesized through common organic reactions by using organically functionalized POM clusters as building blocks. This minireview highlights some of the most recent advances on a particular type of hybrids where the organic and inorganic components are connected by an imido linkage.     

Photografting of vinyl polymers onto ultrafine inorganic particles: Photopolymerization of vinyl monomers initiated by AZO groups introduced onto these surfaces

The photografting of polymers onto ultrafine inorganic particles, such as silica and titanium oxide, initiated by azo groups introduced onto these surfaces was investigated. The introduction of azo groups onto the particles was achieved by the reaction of 4,4′-azobis(4-cyanopentanoic acid) with surface isocyanate groups, which were introduced by the treatment with tolylene 2,4-diisocyanate. It was found that the photopolymerization of vinyl monomers, such as methyl methacrylate (MMA), styrene, and N-vinylcarbazole, is initiated by ultrafine particles having azo groups. The corresponding polymers were effectively grafted onto these surfaces through the propagation of the polymer from the surface radicals formed by the photodecomposition of the azo groups: e.g., the percentage of grafting of PMMA and polystyrene onto silica was reached to 112 and 176%, respectively. The percentage of grafting onto silica in the graft polymerization initiated by photodecomposition of surface azo groups was much larger than that initiated by thermal decomposition. Polymer-grafted ultrafine particles thus obtained gave a stable colloidal dispersion in good solvents for the grafted chain. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

一种模拟沸石分子筛扩散反应的Monte Carlo方法

在考虑了沸石分子筛中吸附、脱附、扩散和反应的特点的基础上，发展了一种模拟沸石分子筛中扩菜反应的ＭｏｎｔｅＣａｒｌｏ方法。用Ｌａｎｇｍｕｉｒ吸附等温式验证了该方法的合理性，并证明了轰击频率λ代表了反应物气相压力，而吸附、脱附几率之比即为吸附平衡常数。同时，通过改变轰击频率λ和反应几率Ｐｔ，得到了吸附等温线和有效因子随Ｔｈｉｅｌｅ模数变化的曲线。     

SYNTHESIS OF LIQUID CRYSTALLINE POLYACRYLATES WITH THIOESTER AS BRIDGE-BOND

A new series of acrylates with the same mesogens containing thioester as bridge-bondwere synthesized, and the acrylates were characterized by H~1 NMR, IR and MS. Thepolymers were obtained by radical polymerization using AIBN as initiator. The monomersand polymers exhibit thermotropic-enantiotropic liquid crystalline behavior.     

LC Packing Materials for Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis

 The author has prepared novel liquid chromatography (LC) packing materials for pharmaceutical and biomedical analysis. Those include LC packing materials for direct serum injection assays of drugs and their metabolites, LC packing materials for resolution of enantiomeric drugs, and uniformly sized molecularly imprinted polymers for drugs and their metabolites.     

聚2,6-二甲基苯醚树脂分子量分布及其与冲击强度关系的研究

本工作建立了室温下用凝胶色谱法(GPC)测定聚2,6-二甲基苯醚(PPO)树脂分子量、分子量分布的方法。淋洗剂不采用文献申报道的毒性较大者,也不在较高柱温下进行,而采用甲苯(或氯仿)在室温下测定。对样品在甲苯中溶解温度、浓度和稳定性等都进行了系统研究,找到了最优化条件。GPC数据结合改性PPO(MPPO)产品性能测定结果,经仔细分析找到了影响MPPO产品质量的一个重要因素是PPO树脂中低分子量部分含量。它与产品冲击强度有明显的依赖关系。提出了一个从CPC谱图确定低分子量部分含量的方法。     

(TiNi)_x(x=2~4)团簇结构和电子结构

从团簇角度对TiNi形状记忆合金进行了量子化学从头算研究。设计并优化了等原子比(TiNi)x(x=2~4)簇的多种可能几何结构,并对较稳定构型进行电子结构的分析。结果表明,等原子比的(TiNi)n团簇以TiNi成键为主要分子骨架,小团簇有较多能量接近的异构体,TiTi成键对能量降低有较大贡献。
