An ethylene—propylene (EPR) copolymer functionalized with (1,2-dicarboethoxy)ethyl groups has been blended with a vinylidene fluoride—hexafluropropene elastomer (NML). The existence of intermolecular interactions involving mainly the carbonyl groups of the side chains of the functionalized copolymer and the methylene hydrogens of the fluoroelastomer through hydrogen bonding was shown by means of FT—IR spectroscopy. By reacting platinum with alkali metals (A = K, Rb, Cs) a new family of binary alkali metal platinides has been synthesized and characterized by chemical analysis, X‐ray powder diffraction, thermal analysis (DTA and DSC), and magnetic measurements. All three compounds exhibit similar XRD‐patterns with strong reflections that can be indexed on the basis of a rhombohedral crystal system (KxPt: a = 2.6462(1), c = 17.123(1); RbxPt: a = 2.6415(1) Å, c = 17.871(1) Å; CsxPt: a = 2.6505(1) Å, c = 18.536(1) Å; x < ½. The a lattice constant is independent on the alkali metal used and of value close to the Pt–Pt distance in NaPt2 (2.645Å). The c parameter increases monotonically with the growing atomic radius of the alkali metal. The average structure of the alloys consists of cubic close packed layers of platinum atoms with layers of disordered alkali metals in between. For all compounds besides the strong reflections small satellites are observed which cannot be indexed together with the rhombohedral peaks in any rational 3‐dimensional lattice. However, these satellites can be indexed as incommensurate modulations within the ab plane (found propagation vectors k = (0.1011, 0.2506, 0) for CsxPt, and k = (0.0168, 0.2785, 0) for RbxPt). 相似文献

Blends of ABS (acrylonitrile–butadiene–styrene) with phenoxy(poly(hydroxyether bisphenol A)) were prepared using a Branender single screw extruder. Scanning and transmission electron micrographs (SEM, TEM) showed a typical two-phase morphology; particle-in-matrix (90/10) (ABS/phenoxy by weight), 70/30, 10/90), island/sea (30/70) and co-continuous (50/50) morphologies. The glass transition temperature (Tg) of SAN was almost unchanged in the blends, while the Tg of phenoxy increased by about 5 °C in the blends. The synergistic effect of tensile modulus and strength was noted in ABS-rich blends, where a drastic drop of ductility was seen, and the results were interpreted in terms of rubber particle migration form SAN to phenoxy phase, which was visualized by TEM. Melt viscosity showed yield in ABS-rich blends, and generally followed the log additivity. 相似文献

The surface morphology of free-surface PCL ringed spherulites was investigated by using atomic forcemicroscopy. The spherulites were obtained by crystallization of PCL/PVC blends of different compositions. It was found thatthe ringed spherulite exhibited regularly fluctuating rings on its surface. Compared with the bright-dark ring pattern of thespherulite under a polarizing microscope, it was proved that the optical characteristics of the ringed spherulite underpolarizing microscope coincided with its surface characteristics. Summary. The formation equilibria for the binary complexes of CoII, NiII, CuII, ZnII, CdII, MnII, PbII, ThIV, UO2II, and CeIII with tricine and for the ternary complexes involving some -amino acids (glycine, -alanine, proline, serine, asparagine, and aspartic acid) were investigated using pH-metric technique. The formation of binary and ternary complexes was inferred from the pH-metric titration curves. It was deduced that tricine acts as a primary ligand in the ternary complexes involving the monocarboxylic amino acids (glycine, -alanine, proline, serine, and asparagine), whereas it behaves as a secondary ligand in the ternary systems containing the dicarboxylic aspartic acid. The ternary complex formation was found to take place in a stepwise manner. The stability constants of the complexes formed in aqueous solutions were determined potentiometrically under the experimental conditions (t=25°C, I=0.1moldm–3 NaNO3). The order of stability of the ternary complexes in terms of the nature of the amino acids is investigated and discussed. The values of log K for the ternary complexes have been evaluated and discussed. Evaluation of the effects of ionic strength and temperature of the medium on the stability of the ternary system MII-tricine--alanine (MII=CoII, NiII, and CuII) has been studied. The dipole dynamics and α-relaxation behaviour of polyvinyl chloride PVC, poly(ethylene-co-vinyl-acetate) EVA70 and blend of them EVA70/PVC have been investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and dielectric relaxation spectroscopy (DRS). The differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) thermograms measured on samples show a single glass transition in the analysed temperature range. These three polymers are wholly amorphous and pure PVC and pure EVA70 are miscible in the ratio 1:1. The glass transition temperature Tg decreases significantly with presence of EVA70. Furthermore, the values of apparent activation energies for molecular motions at the α-relaxation and the values of fragility index have also been determined for each sample using Moynihan expression for DSC results and Vogel-Fulcher-Tammann-Hesse (VFTH) form for DRS results. It is shown a large dependence of all the values of these parameters with the content of EVA70. Comparing these three polymers, we found that the more fragile glass forming liquid is the PVC. Fragility decreases drastically with EVA70 content. EVA70 and EVA70/PVC blend exhibit practically the same behaviour. The effect of inter- and intra-molecular interactions on fragility is discussed to explain these variations. 相似文献
