Oxa‐bridged oxazocines bearing three chiral carbon centers were synthesized efficiently through a bimetallic catalytic asymmetric tandem reaction of β,γ‐unsaturated α‐ketoesters with diazoimides. The process contained a rhodium‐promoted in situ generation of isomünchnone from diazoimide decomposition, and a [4+3]‐cycloaddition of β,γ‐unsaturated α‐ketoester catalyzed by a chiral N,N′‐dioxide‐ZnII complex. Ligand‐accelerated catalysis was found, and a possible transition‐state model was proposed to explain the origin of stereoselectivity. 相似文献

A facile and novel approach to prepare monodisperse polystyrene (PS) particles having a “cylindrical” shape was discovered. Spherical PS particles prepared by dispersion polymerization were stirred in a polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) aqueous solution for several hours using a magnetic stirrer at room temperature. In the presence of PVP, the spherical PS particles deformed into cylindrical shapes following stirring; however, the particles did not deform in the absence of PVP. The deformation rate of the particles was affected by the molecular weight of the dissolved PVP. This stirring method is not only highly efficient and high yielding, but also applicable to other materials such as polymethyl methacrylate. Moreover, the cylindrical particles were successfully applied as particulate surfactants in a Pickering emulsion system, which exhibited excellent stability in comparison to a system using spherical particles as a surfactant. In the first case, the emulsion was left standing for more than 4 months. 相似文献

Surface‐inactive, highly hydrophilic particles are utilized to effectively and reversibly stabilize oil‐in‐water emulsions. This is a result of attractive van der Waals forces between particles and oil droplets in water, which are sufficient to trap the particles in close proximity to oil–water interfaces when repulsive forces between particles and oil droplets are suppressed. The emulsifying efficiency of the highly hydrophilic particles is determined by van der Waals attraction between particle monolayer shells and oil droplets enclosed therein and is inversely proportional to the particle size, while their stabilizing efficiency is determined by van der Waals attraction between single particles and oil droplets, which is proportional to the particle size. This differentiation in mechanism between emulsification and stabilization will significantly advance our knowledge of emulsions, thus enabling better control and design of emulsion‐based technologies in practice. 相似文献
