Polyaniline is a model molecular system in the study of conductive polymers. Ionic liquids, on the other hand, are becoming more and more a very convenient alternative for conventional organic solvents. The dissolution of polyaniline‐emeraldine base (PANI‐EB) in imidazolium ILs leads to its doping, as indicated by optical and resonance Raman spectroscopies. In this study, it is proposed that the interaction of PANI‐EB and imidazolium ILs involves the specific interaction of the quinoid moiety of the former with the imidazolium ring of the latter, an interpretation that is also based on N K‐edge XANES measurements of neat PANI‐EB, neat ILs, and of their solutions.

A TEMPO bromide salt is used to functionalize a silica surface with nitroxyl moieties. The functionalization reaction takes place in 48 h under mild conditions. In a second step, grafts of styrene‐maleic anhydride copolymer are grown from the functionalized silica surface by heating it in the presence of the monomers. FT‐IR and TGA analysis show that the silica was first functionalized with nitroxide moieties, and then that grafts of styrene‐maleic anhydride grew from the functionalized silica surface. A reaction mechanism is proposed in order to explain the findings. The results suggest that the oxoaminium salts are good candidates for the functionalization and grafting of surfaces that contain hydroxy groups and for the generation of hybrid materials with improved properties.

Two highly energetic nitric acid esters were synthesized from the dimer of dihydroxyacetone. 1,3‐Dinitratoacetone ( 1 ) and its dimer 2,5‐bis(nitratomethyl‐2,5‐nitrato)‐1,4‐dioxane ( 2 ) were characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, vibrational spectroscopy (IR and Raman), multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, and elemental analysis. The thermal behavior was investigated with DTA measurements. Although showing the same atomic stoichiometry, dimer 2 shows significantly higher sensitivities measured by BAM methods (drophammer and friction tester). Due to the high oxygen content of 62.2 %, 1 and 2 were evaluated as potential high energy dense oxidizers.  相似文献

Functional properties that are exact for the Hohenberg–Kohn functional may turn into mutually exclusive constraints at a given level of ansatz. This is exemplarily shown for the local density approximation. Nevertheless, it is possible to reach exactly the Kohn–Sham data from an orbital‐free density functional framework based on simple one‐point functionals by starting from the Levy–Perdew–Sahni formulation. The energy value is obtained from the density‐potential pair, and therefore does not refer to the functional dependence of the potential expression. Consequently, the potential expression can be obtained from any suitable model and is not required to follow proper scaling behavior.  相似文献

The interactions of rare gas atoms (Rg = Ar, Kr, and Xe) with small neutral and cationic silver clusters have been investigated by density functional methods and the effect of these weak interactions on the resonance Raman spectra of the complexes has been evaluated. The resonance Raman technique that depends on the properties of ground and excited state, seems deeply sensitive to the weak rare gas–metal cluster interactions, and the use of inert gases has been proven to be an excellent approach to recognize the ability of this technique to detect extremely weak interactions. In this work, for , and complexes the IR, normal and resonance Raman spectra have been calculated and the effect of rare gas–cluster stretching vibration ( ) on the pattern and the relative intensities of different spectra have been investigated. The resonance Raman spectra for the weakly interacted complexes (with the interaction energies less than ?2.0 kcal/mol) exhibit the vibration with the detectable intensity that its intensity increases by going from Ag6–Ar to Ag6–Xe complex. Moreover, the resonance Raman spectra (based on the excited state gradient approximation) for high intensity nearly degenerate excited states, proved the effect of accumulation of the excited state charge density on the relative intensity of vibration.  相似文献

A series of viologen polymers with bromide, tosylate, and triflimide as counterions were prepared by either the Menshutkin reaction or metathesis reaction in a common organic solvent. Their polyelectrolyte behavior in methanol was determined by solution viscosity measurements, and their chemical structures were determined by Fourier transform infrared and Fourier transform NMR spectroscopy. They were characterized for their thermotropic liquid‐crystalline properties with a number of experimental techniques. Each of the viologen polymers with organic counterions had a low melting transition or fusion temperature above which it formed either a high‐order smectic phase or a low‐order smectic phase. Each of them also exhibited a smectic‐to‐isotropic transition. The ranges of the liquid‐crystalline phase were 80–88 °C for viologen polymers with tosylate as a counterion and 120–146 °C for viologen polymers with triflimide as a counterion. They had excellent thermal stability. The ranges of thermal stability were 288–329 °C for viologen polymers with tosylate as a counterion and 343–350 °C for viologen polymers with triflimide as a counterion. The fluorescence property for all of the viologen polymers in either aqueous or methanol solution was also included in this study. For example, the viologen polymer containing the 4,4′‐bipyridinium and p‐xylyl units along the backbone of the polymer chain with triflimide as a counterion had an absorption spectrum (λmax = 265 nm), an excitation spectrum (λex values = 357, 443, and 454 with monitoring at 533 nm), and an emission spectrum (λem = 536 nm with excitation at 430 and 450 nm) in methanol. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Ruby‐red crystals of Ag2Bi2S3Cl2 were synthesized from AgCl and Bi2S3 by cooling a melt from 770 K to room temperature. X‐ray diffraction on powders and single‐crystals revealed a triclinic crystal structure with special lattice constants (P &1macr; (No. 2), a = 1085.0(2), b = 717.2(1), c = 1137.6(1) pm, α = 89.80(1)?, β = 74.80(1)?, γ = 87.81(1)?). In the structure [BiIIIS3Cl4] polyhedra form 2[BiS3/2Cl4/4] double‐layers by sharing common faces and edges. The silver(I) cations between the layers are coordinated either octahedrally by sulfide ions or tetrahedrally by sulfide and chloride ions. The deviations from the monoclinic space group P 1 21/c 1 are small and induce twinning along [010]. Further pseudosymmetry is based on the stacking of layer packages with the symmetry of the layer group P (2/c) 21/c 2/b.  相似文献
