Switching between the system and the associated observer or controller is in fact asynchronous in switched control systems. However, many times we assume it synchronous, for simplicity. In this paper, the robust observer design problems for a class of nonlinear uncertain switched systems for synchronous and asynchronous switching are addressed. At first, a robust observer under synchronous switching is proposed based on average dwell time approach. After that, the results are extended to robust observer design in the asynchronous case. In this case, two working modes are adopted to facilitate the studies on the issue. Finally, an extension case covering more practical applications is investigated under asynchronous switching. The designed observer cannot maintain the asymptotical stability of error state, but the eventual boundness is guaranteed. Numerical simulation is a common approach to understand many phenomena, usually yielding a computationally intensive problem. To overcome insufficient computer capacity and computational speed, a grid computing environment is a suitable approach. In this paper we focus on the development of parallel algorithms to solve a 3D transport model in such a context. The solver is based on the multisplitting Newton method that provides a coarse-grained scheme. Algorithms are implemented using JACE, a grid-enabled Java Asynchronous Computing Environment. This programming environment allows users to design synchronous and asynchronous parallel iterative algorithms as well. Experiments are carried out on a heterogeneous grid environment in which the behaviour of both parallel iterative algorithms is analysed. A new approach to focal plane processing based on silicon injection mode devices is suggested. These devices provide a natural basis for parallel asynchronous focal plane image preprocessing. The simplicity and novel properties of the devices would permit an independent analog processing channel to be dedicated to every pixel. A laminar architecture built from arrays of the devices would form a two-dimensional (2-D) array processor with a 2-D array of inputs located directly behind the focal plane detector array. A 2-D image data stream would propagate in neuronlike asynchronous pulse coded form through the laminar processor. No multiplexing, digitization or serial processing would occur in the preprocessing stage. High performance is expected because approximately linear pulse coding has already been observed for input currents ranging over six orders of magnitude down to one picoampere with noise referred to input of about 10 femtoamperes. Very low power requirements suggest utility in space and in conjunction with very large arrays. The COVID-19 broke out on a large scale, and online teaching became the first choice for teachers. Avoiding network congestion and ensuring learning effects are the dilemmas faced by online teaching. With the help of the UOOC platform and the Tencent Classroom, taking the "Polymer Structure and Performance" course as a sample, we suggested a new "online asynchronous teaching" model. Among them, the SPOC course is convenient for students to manage their learning time; "Chapter Quiz" and "Student-to-Student Mutual Evaluation" are helpful for students to obtain multi-angle feedback; project tasks are focused on case analysis so that students carry out inquiry-based learning. Overall, the "online asynchronous teaching" model breaks the time and space restrictions on teaching and learning, guarantees the quality of teaching during the epidemic, and lays the foundation for creating a "golden class". 相似文献
