The reactions taking place during methane esterification in oleum were investigated. It was found that the primary products
were methyl bisulphate and formaldehyde, which was subsequently oxidized to carbon dioxide. The catalyst, Pd or PtCl4, was needed to activate methane and for its oxidation to the primary products. The formation of CO2 was not a catalytic process. It was found that the addition of either carbon dioxide or ester into the reaction mixture did
not slow down the reactions. Methane oxidation in oleum is an irreversible process, during which water is produced and subsequently
consumed to give sulphuric acid by the reaction with sulphur trioxide.

The hydrogenation of benzene and toluene was investigated over US-SSY, -Al2O3, and Ha1-MCM-41 supported platinum catalysts. The acidity of catalyst supports was measured by IR spectra of pyridine adsorption. On the Brönsted acid supported catalyst, both the hexacyclic saturation product and the pentacyclic one, the hydroisomerization product, were observed, and these two products were revealed to be primary reaction products. The two products were proposed to be formed competitively on Brönsted acid sites with carbonium ions as the reaction intermediate. By contrast, no hydroisomerization product was found on Lewis acid supported catalysts. It was inferred that the electron-deficient reaction intermediate formed on Lewis acids could not undertake any skeletal isomerization process to give a pentacyclic saturation product. 相似文献

Reaction of [Cp* RuCl2]2 with
-alanine (
-alaH) in methanol at room temperature in the presence of NaOMe yields the complex Na[Cp* RuCl(
-ala)] (1), which contains a five-membered N,O-coordinated chelate ring. The analogous complex Na[Cp* RuCl(
-phe)] (2) is obtained under similar conditions but at 0°C in 90% yield. At temperatures above 20°C both 2 and the η6-coordinated complex [Cp* Ru(
-pheH)]Cl (4) are obtained, with the proportion of the latter increasing with temperature. Compound 4 is obtained in 88% yield by refluxing [Cp* RuCl2]2 and
-phenylalanine (
-pheH) in CH3OH/CH3ONa followed by separation from 2. The analogous ruthenium(II) sandwich complexes 5–10 were obtained from
-tyrosine and
-tryptophane and various derivatives. [Cp* Ru(
-met)] (3), prepared by the reaction of [Cp* RuCl2]2 with

Polyaniline–oxalic acid salts were prepared at 5 and 30°C by chemical polymerization of aniline using different concentration of oxalic acid. Polyaniline base was obtained from the corresponding polyaniline salt by dedoping using aqueous ammonium hydroxide solution. Conductivity measurements, elemental analysis, Infrared, electronic absorption, electron paramagnetic resonance spectral, and thermogravimetric analysis were performed on the polyaniline salts and bases. Composition and the extent of dopant in polyaniline salt systems where determined. The value of composition of polyaniline: oxalic acid is 4: 1.6 and the polymer yield is around 66%. The value of conductivity, polymer yield and composition of polyaniline–oxalic acid salt is independent of concentration of oxalic acid used and also the synthesis temperature. The results are compared with polyaniline–hydrochloride salt prepared by chemical polymerization. The conductivity of polyaniline–oxalic acid salt is three orders of magnitude lower than that of polyaniline-hydrocholoride salt. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 相似文献

Spectrophotometric determinations of palladium(II) and tartaric acid were respectively investigated by using the color reactions between 2(5-nitro-2-pyridylazo)-5-(N-propyl-N-3-sulfopropylamino)phenol(5-NO2.PAPS) and palladium(II) in strong acidic media, and between 5-NO2.PAPS, niobium(V) tartaric acid in weak acidic media. The calibration graphs were linear in the range of 0–25 μg/10 ml palladium(II), with an apparent molecular coefficient () of 6.2×104 l mol−1 cm−1 at 612 nm, and 0–23 μg/10 ml tartaric acid with =1.08×106 l mol−1 cm−1 at 612 nm, respectively. The proposed methods were selective and sensitive in comparison with other chelating pyridylazo dyes–palladium(II) or metavanadic acid–tartaric acid method, and the effect of foreign ions such as copper(II) was negligible for the assay of palladium(II) with 5-NO2.PAPS. 相似文献

Self‐healing hydrogel such as polyacrylic acid (PAA) hydrogel has attracted increasing attention based on its promising potential applications. However, it usually suffers from low strength especially as mechanical device. Herein, a commercial microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) was modified with acrylamide to graft polyacrylamide (PAM) chains on the particle surface. The acrylamide‐modified MCC (AM‐MCC) was then dispersed in monomer solution of acrylic acid to prepare composite hydrogel. The mechanical properties of the obtained composite hydrogels and the self‐healed hydrogels were carefully measured by compressive and tensile tests, and by dynamic mechanical analysis. Our results demonstrate that introduction of a small amount of AM‐MCC such as 3 wt% can not only reinforce the original hydrogel and the healed hydrogel markedly, but also improve self‐healing efficiency obviously. The analyses indicate that in addition to the reversible multi‐interactions such as hydrogen bonding and ionic interactions, the entanglements between the PAA chains of the hydrogel matrix and the PAM chains grafted on the MCC particles have also played an important role on the improvement in mechanical performances and the healing ability of the hydrogel. A novel histidine-selective method has been developed for the determination of histidine in aqueous solutions by resonance light scattering (RLS) technique. At pH 8.0, the weak RLS intensity of tetraphenylporphyrin manganese (III) chloride [MnTPPCl] was greatly enhanced by the addition of histidine with the maximum peak located at 483 nm. Under the optimum conditions, it was found that the enhanced RLS intensity was in proportion to the concentration of histidine in the range 7.8 × 10−7-2.4 × 10−5 mol l−1. Low detection limit of 9.2 × 10-8 mol l−1 has been achieved. The histidine concentrations in synthetic samples and real samples were determined with satisfactory results. The sensitivity and selectivity of this method are high enough to permit the determination of trace amounts of histidine without any significant interference from high levels of other components such as common anions and especially, other amino acids. 相似文献

Simple catalytic systems for cross-coupling reactions of acyl chlorides with arylboronic acids under microwave conditions were tested. Microwave irradiation facilitated the reaction course. Mild reaction conditions afford the symmetrical and unsymmetrical aryl ketones in reasonable to high yields within a short time.
