Interfacial rheological properties of a model crude oil-water system were studied in the presence of sodium hydroxide. The
interfacial viscosity, the non-Newtonian flow behavior and the activation energy of viscous flow were determined as a function
of shear rate, alkali concentration and aging time. The fundamental conclusion of the experimental results is that the interfacial
viscosity drastically decreases in the presence of alkaline materials and the change under favorable conditions may exceed
3 or 4 orders of magnitude. Simultaneously, the sodium hydroxide effectively suppresses the non-Newtonian flow behavior of
the interfacial layer. The experimental observations are explained by simultaneous chemical processes taking place in the
boundary layer. The present data may help to elucidate the formation, stability and breaking of alkali-containing oil-water
emulsions and they provide additional information for better understanding of the displacement mechanism and for the formulation
of alkaline flooding as a potential chemically enhanced oil-recovery method.

The evaluation of the use of alkaline peroxodisulfate digestion with low pressure microwave, autoclave or hot water bath heating for the determination of total phosphorus and nitrogen in turbid lake and river waters is described. The efficiency of these digestion procedures were compared to a Kjeldahl digestion procedure with sulphuric acid-potassium sulfate and copper sulfate. The final solution before digestion was 0.045 M in potassium peroxodisulfate and 0.04 M in sodium hydroxide. Procedures were evaluated by the analysis of suspensions of two reference materials, National Institute of Environmental Science, Japan, no. 3 Chlorella and no. 2 pond sediment and natural turbid waters. Best recoveries of phosphorus and nitrogen by microwave heating were obtained when solutions were digested at 95 °C for 40 min. Quantitative recoveries of phosphorus from Chlorella suspensions up to 1000 mg/l were obtained by all three heating procedures, but incomplete recoveries of nitrogen occurred above 20 mg N/l in the digested sample. Good recoveries of phosphorus and nitrogen from suspended sediment suspensions were obtained only from solutions containing <150 mg/l of suspended sediments. Recoveries of phosphorus from phosphorus compounds containing COP and CP bonds added to distilled water were quantitative (94-113%) except for polyphosphates (microwave, 34±8; autoclave, 114±6; water bath, 96±4) and aluminium phosphate (8-23%). Recoveries of nitrogen compounds containing CN bonds added to distilled water were quantitative (94-96%). The analysis of a range of natural turbid water samples by alkaline peroxodisulfate and microwave, autoclave and water bath heating gave similar total phosphorus and nitrogen results. All procedures using alkaline peroxodisulfate underestimate phosphorus concentrations at high suspended sediment concentrations (>150 mg/l) and are only suitable for the analysis of very turbid samples when the turbidity is due to organic matter (algal cells, plant detritus). Underestimation of nitrogen occurs when samples contain more than 20 mg N/l. 相似文献

The structures and electronic properties of the gaseous M\begin{document}$ _2 $\end{document} Pt\begin{document}$ _2 $\end{document} \begin{document}$ ^{0/-} $\end{document} clusters (M represents the alkaline earth metal) were investigated using the density functional theory (B3LYP and PBE0) and wave function theory (SCS-MP2, CCSD and CCSD (T)). The results indicate that the D\begin{document}$ _{2{h}} $\end{document} isomers with the planar structures are more stable than the C\begin{document}$ _{2v} $\end{document} isomers with smaller dihedral angles and shorter Pt-Pt bond lengths. The mutual competition of M(s, p)-Pt(5d) interaction and Pt-Pt covalent bonding contributes to the different stabilizations of the two kinds of isomers. The M(s, p)-Pt(5d) interaction favors the planar isomers with D\begin{document}$ _{2h} $\end{document} symmetry, while the Pt-Pt covalent bonding leads to the C\begin{document}$ _{2v} $\end{document} isomers with bending structures. Two different crossing points are determined in the potential energy curves of Be\begin{document}$ _2 $\end{document} Pt\begin{document}$ _2 $\end{document} with the singlet and triplet states. But there is just one crossing point in potential energy curves of Ra\begin{document}$ _2 $\end{document} Pt\begin{document}$ _2 $\end{document} and Ca\begin{document}$ _2 $\end{document} Pt\begin{document}$ _2 $\end{document} \begin{document}$ ^- $\end{document} because of flatter potential energy curves of Ra\begin{document}$ _2 $\end{document} Pt\begin{document}$ _2 $\end{document} with the triplet state or Ca\begin{document}$ _2 $\end{document} Pt\begin{document}$ _2 $\end{document} \begin{document}$ ^- $\end{document} with quartet state. The hybrid film of gold nanoparticles/ionic liquid-chitosan (GNP/IL-Ch) was first prepared by a simple one-step synthesis and used as an efficient immobilization matrix to fabricate an immunosensor. The GNP/IL-Ch film not only prevents the leakage of the IL units, but also produces a well-defined voltammetric signal due to the synergistic effects of the IL units and GNPs. By immobilizing an alkaline phosphatase (ALP)-labeled antibody in GNP/IL-Ch film, a sensitive amperometric immunosensor has been developed for prostate specific antigen (PSA). In the framework of the projects Environmental Sampling and High Performance Trace Analysis in support to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Euratom Safeguards Office (ESO), the research has been focused on the identification and characterisation of particles of interest containing mainly U and other actinides.Multiple analyses, elemental and isotopic, of single radioactive particles in the µm-size range are key-tools in environmental research and in nuclear forensics. The main purpose in the analysis of single particles by SIMS is the determination of their isotopic composition that has been demonstrated successfully for uranium and plutonium particles. From these results, the enrichment of the material produced, the process used for the enrichment as well as the starting material employed (natural or reprocessed uranium) can be identified. 相似文献
