Synthesis of New Ligand 1,2-Bis{di[（R,R）-1,3,2-oxzaphosphlidine]phosphino}ethane with C_2-symmetric Axis and Application in Rh-catalyzed Asymmetric Hydrogenation

New ligand 1,2-bis{di[（R,R）-1,3,2-oxzaphosphlidine]phosphino}ethane [（R,R）-BDOPPEs 1,2,3 and 4] with C2-symmetric axis and bearing nitrogen and oxygen were synthesized from readily available optically active amino alcohols.Rh complexes with these ligands were highly enantioselective catalysts for asymmetric hydrogenation of N-benzoyldehydroamino acid derivatives and α-functionalized ketones in 99%e.e.and 98%e.e.,respectively.This new class of（R,R）-BDOPPEs 1,2,3 and 4 gave much more effectivity and enantionselectivity than their corresponding non-C2-asymmetric aminophosphine phosphinite.     

Methods of Asymmetric Synthesis—Enantioselective Catalytic Hydrogenation

It is proposed that asymmetric syntheses be divided into enantioselective and diastereoselective syntheses. The enantioselective hydrogenations discussed in the present progress report were catalyzed by Raney nickel that had previously been treated with solutions of optically active compounds. Relationships exist between the enantioselectivity of the catalyst and the structure of the chiral compound used to modify it.     

Selective determination of oxygenates in complex samples with the O-FID analyzer

A gas-chromatographic analyzer allowing the selective detection of individual oxygenates in complex organic mixtures, such as gasolines, is described. The analyzer is based on the oxygen-specific response flame ionization detection (O-FID) method. The system operates with capillary columns and includes a cracking reactor to convert any oxygenate to carbon monoxide and a special FID equipped with a microreactor for the catalytic hydro-genation of CO and detection as methane. Hydrocarbons give no signal. The selectivity of the method is better than 1:10⁷ and the linear range approaches 10⁵. The analysis of modern fuels containing oxygenated additives, to improve octane ratings, may greatly benefit from the proposed analytical method.     

Benzo[b]thiophene as a template for substituted quinolines and tetrahydroquinolines

An original methodology starting from 3-aroyl-2-(2′-nitro-4′-methoxyphenyl)-benzo[b]thiophene allows the synthesis of unusual fused heterocycles. Direct hydrogenation with nickel catalysts followed by desulfurisation led to 2,3-diarylquinolines or 2,3-diaryltetrahydroquinolines.     

Ni-P/SiO_2催化剂晶化过程及其加氢活性研究

采用化学还原法制备了负载型Ni－P／SiO2非晶态合金催化剂．应用ICP、BET、氢氧滴定法、XRD、SEM、XPS研究了上述催化剂在高温晶化过程中的表面结构、表面形貌和表面电子态的变化。测定了Ni－P／SiO2非晶态合金晶化前后对其液相苯甲醛加氢反应催化活性和选择性,并讨论了非晶态合金催化剂晶化过程中结构变化对催化性能的影响．     

Determination of enantiomeric excess and degree of hydrogenation in the enantioselective hydrogenation of ketopantolactone

Summary A new gas chromatographic method for the simultaneous determination of the degree of hydrogenation of ketopantolactone and the enantiomeric excess of pantolactone does not require any derivatisation.

Benzathine is prepared in good yields from cyanobenzene by a combination of electrochemical hydrogenation and Kolbe electrolysis using nickel and platinum electrodes in the presence of methanolic sodium methoxide in an undivided cell.
