Determination of 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid in apple extracts by capillary electrophoresis with laser-induced fluorescence detection

A rapid and sensitive method for the determination of 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (ACC) in apple tissues has been described. This method is based on the derivatization of ACC with 3-(2-furoyl)quinoline-2-carboxaldehyde (FQ), and separation and quantification of the resulting FQ-ACC derivative by capillary electrophoresis coupled to laser-induced fluorescence detection (CE-LIF). Our results indicated that ACC derivatized with FQ could be well separated from other interfering amino acids using 20 mM borate buffer (pH 9.35) containing 40 mM sodium dodecyl sulfate and 10 mM Brij 35. The linearity of ACC was determined in the range from 0.05 to 5 microM with a correlation of 0.9967. The concentration detection limit for ACC was 10 nM (signal-to-noise = 3). The sensitivity and selectivity of this described method allows the analysis of ACC in crude apple extracts without extra purification and enrichment procedure.     

Novel chemical modifications at the 4-position of chromones. Synthesis and reactivity of 4H-chromene-4-spiro-5′-isoxazolines and related compounds

Reactions of chromones with dilithiooximes proceed via nucleophilic 1,2-addition to give, on acidification, 4H-chromene-4-spiro-5′-isoxazoline derivatives in high yields. On treatment with concentrated H₂SO₄ the isoxazoline ring of this novel spiroannulated heterocyclic system opens to give α,β-unsaturated oximes, which undergo nitrosation, bromination, and the Beckmann rearrangement to the corresponding spiroisoxazolines and α,β-unsaturated amides, respectively. The latter can be obtained directly by the Beckmann rearrangement of 4H-chromene-4-spiro-5′-isoxazolines.     

Highly diastereoselective synthesis of bicyclo[4.2.0]octanone derivatives by the [2+2] photocycloaddition of chiral cyclohexenonecarboxylates to ethylene

The diastereoselective [2+2] photocycloaddition of a cyclohexenonecarboxylate containing (−)-8-(4-nitrophenyl)menthyl as a chiral auxiliary to ethylene gave the photocycloadduct, a bicyclo[4.2.0]octanone derivative, with a high degree of diastereoselectivity. A photoreaction, conducted in CH₂Cl₂ at −78 °C gave the corresponding photocycloadduct in 88% de. In the presence of Ti(OR)₄ or Me₃SnCl, the diastereoselectivity was increased up to 92% de.     

Synthesis and Structure of Dimolybdenum Carbonyl Thiolate Compound [Et4N]2[Mo2（CO）8（SC6H4—CH3—m）2]

1 INTRODUCTION In 1984, thiolate ligand was successfully introduced into molybdenum carbonyl compound by the reaction of Mo(CO)6 with [Et4N]SR( R = C6H5, But) in a moderate condition[1]. Evaluation of the immobilized artificial membrane phosphatidylcholine: Drug discovery column for high-performance liquid chromatographic screening of drug–membrane interactions

Chromatographic retention factors (k′) of a series of eight β-adrenoceptor antagonist compounds (β-adrenolytic drugs) were determined employing an immobilized artificial membrane column (IAM.PC.DD). The influence of mobile phase pH, ionic strength, and organic modifier composition was studied in order to examine column performance. After the IAM.PC.DD columns were exposed to approximately 7000 column volumes of a 0.01 M PBS mobile phase, five out of six columns tested showed significant peak broadening and decreased k′ values indicative of premature column failure. The data suggested that the immobilized phospholipids stationary phase was removed by the 0.01 M PBS mobile phase. The β-adrenolytic drug's log k′_IAM values obtained with an IAM.PC.DD column were compared to an ^esterIAM.PC.MG column for predicting drug membrane interactions. For the linear regression analysis between log k′_IAM and the logarithm of the n-octanol–water partition coefficients (r_IAM.PC.DD=0.8710 vs. r_IAM.PC.MG=0.9538), the C₁₈ HPLC retention factors (r_IAM.PC.DD=0.8408 vs. r_IAM.PC.MG=0.9380), the liposome partition coefficients (r_IAM.PC.DD=0.8887 vs. r_IAM.PC.MG=0.9187), and various pharmacokinetic parameters, significantly better correlations were obtained with the ^esterIAM.PC.MG column than the IAM.PC.DD column.

配合物[Mn(phendione)(PDC)(H2O)2]·2H2O的合成与晶体结构

The title compound [Mn(phendione)(PDC)(H₂O)₂]·2H₂O (H₂PDC=pyridine-2，6-dicarboxylic acid) has been prepared in aqueous solution and characterized by single X-ray diffraction structure determination， elemental analysis， IR spectroscopy， and thermal analyses. The compound crystallizes in Monoclinic system， space group C2/c， a=1.017 51(11) nm， b=1.483 25(11) nm， c=1.461 21(13) nm， β=109.86(10)°， V=2.074 1(3) nm³， Z=4， F(000)=1 028， μ=0.701 mm^-1， D_c=1.609 g·cm^-3， R₁=0.028 9， wR₂=0.078 8 [I>2σ(I)]. Crystal structure reveals that complex consists of one-dimensional chain framework bridged by hydrogen bonds that formed by uncoordinated water and oxygen atom of carboxyl group in PDC^2-. Furthermore， the complexes form a three-dimensional super-molecular structure through hydrogen bonds. CCDC: 648570.     

纳米SrTiO3对高铁酸盐电化学性能影响研究

Two ferrates, K₂FeO₄ and BaFeO₄, had been prepared and characterized by XRD, IR and SEM. The electrochemical tests of the samples were carried out in the voltage range of 0.8～2.0 V and current density of 0.5～3.0 mA·cm^-2. The results indicated that performance of Zn-BaFeO₄ battery was superior to that of Zn-MnO₂ and Zn-K₂FeO₄ batteries. Nanometer SrTiO₃ prepared by Sol-gel methode with different ratio was added to the BaFeO₄ cathode in order to improve the discharge performance. The discharge capacity of the BaFeO₄ cathode was increased from 224 mAh·g^-1 to 246 mAh·g^-1 by addition of 5% nanometer SrTiO₃. The reason of enhancing BaFeO₄ electrochemical performance was discussed.     

Carboxylic Acids from <Emphasis Type="Italic">Phyllanthus urinaria</Emphasis>

Five compounds, terephthalic acid mono-[2-(4-carboxy-phenoxycarbonyl)-vinyl] ester (1), (E)-3-(5′-hydroperoxy-2,2′-dihydroxy[1,1′-biphenyl]-4-yl)-2-propenoic acid (2), 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoic acid (3), succinic acid (or butanedioic acid) (4), and 2,3,4,5,6-pentahydroxybenzoic acid (5), were isolated from Phyllanthus urinaria. The structures of these compounds were elucidated by means of spectral techniques including IR, MS, and 1D/2D NMR. 1 and 2 are new compounds.__________Published in Khimiya Prirodnykh Soedinenii, No. 1, pp. 14–17, January–February, 2005.
