The relative stabilities of the metal derivatives of hydrazo pyrazolone dyes containingortho -OCH3, -COOH, and -NO2 groups have been measured potentiometrically in 75% (v/v) dioxane—water mixture at 30 °C and <0.1 ionic strength. The stability constant of their 1:1 and 1:2 chelates with twelve trivalent lanthanide ionsLn(III) have also been determined. The effects of substituents on the hydrazo-moiety of the ligand on the equilibria are discussed. The affinity of different ligands for complexation with lanthanide ions reaches its highest value withortho-carboxyphenylhydrazopyrazolone. The data were correlated and the results were used to explain the stabilization of such chelates by dative -bonding betweenLn(III) and the ligand.

Zusammenfassung Es wurden die relativen Stabilitäten der Metallderivate von Hydrazopyrazolon-Farbstoffen mitortho-OMe, -COOH und -NO2 potentiometrisch in 75% (v/v) Dioxan—Wasser bei 30 °C und einer Ionenstärke <0.1 bestimmt. Die Stabilitätskonstanten der 1:1 und 1:2 Chelate mit zwölf trivalenten LanthanidenionenLn(III) wurden ebenfalls gemessen. Die Substituenteneffekte werden diskutiert. Dabei zeigeno-Carboxyphenylhydrazopyrazolone die höchste Affinität zu Lanthanidenionen. A series of lithium europium double tungsto-molybdate phosphors LiEu(WO4)2−x(MoO4)x (x=0, 0.4, 0.8, 1.2, 1.6, 2.0) have been synthesized by solid-state reactions and their crystal structure, optical and luminescent properties were studied. As the molybdate content increases, the intensity of the 5D0→7F2 emission of Eu3+ activated at wavelength of 396 nm was found to increase and reach a maximum when the relative ratio of Mo/W is 2:0. These changes were found to be accompanied with the changes in the spectral feature, which can be attributed to the crystal field splitting of the 5D0→7F2 transition. As the molybdate content increases the emission intensity of the 615 nm peak also increases. The intense red-emission of the tungstomolybdate phosphors under near-UV excitation suggests them to be potential candidate for white light generation by using near-UV LEDs. In this study the effect of chemical compositions and crystal structure on the photoluminescent properties of LiEu(WO4)2−x(MoO4)x is investigated and discussed. 相似文献

Solvent extraction of a mixture of PbII, MnII, FeIII, CoII, NiII and CdII in aqueous perchlorate medium by a phosphorylated hexahomotrioxacalix[3]arene (calix‐3) in dichloromethane shows a significant selectivity towards lead ions. The ligand can also be incorporated into a membrane to provide a new lead ion‐selective electrode (PbII‐ISE). A plasticized PVC membrane containing 30% PVC, 53.5% ortho‐nitrophenyloctylether (NPOE), 4.5% sodium tetraphenylborate (NaTPB) and 12% ionophore was directly coated on a graphite rod. This sensor gave a good Nernstian response of 29.7 ± 0.7 mV decade?1 over a concentration range of 1 × 10?8 – 1 × 10?4 M of lead ions, independent of pH in the range 3‐7, with a detection limit of 0.4 × 10?8 M. The dynamic response time of the electrode to achieve a steady potential was very fast and found to be less than 7 s. The selectivity relative to Ag+, NH4+, Li+, Na+, K+, Ca2+, Sr2+, Ba2+, Mn2+, Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, Fe3+, La3+, Sm3+, Dy3+, Er3+, Y3+ and Th4+ was examined. The electrode exhibits adequate stability with good reproducibility (with a slope of 29.6 ± 1.5 mV for 8 weeks). The characteristics of the sensor are compared with those of a tetraphosphorylated calix[4]arene (calix‐4) based PbII‐ISE, reported recently. The electrode was successfully used as an indicator electrode for a potentiometric titration of a lead solution using a standard solution of EDTA. The applicability of the sensor for lead ion measurements in various synthetic samples was also investigated. 相似文献

Ketyl radicals formed from 4-PCA react with the parent molecule to give a dimeric radical species. At pH 7, the equilibrium constant for the dimer formation was determined to be 13 500 M-1. Chromium(III)-carbonate reactions are expected to be important in managing high-level radioactive wastes. Extensive studies
on the solubility of amorphous Cr(III) hydroxide solid in a wide range of pH (3–13) at two different fixed partial pressures
of CO2(g) (0.003 or 0.03 atm.), and as functions of K2CO3 concentrations (0.01 to 5.8 mol⋅kg−1) in the presence of 0.01 mol⋅dm−3 KOH and KHCO3 concentrations (0.001 to 0.826 mol⋅kg−1) at room temperature (22±2 °C) were carried out to obtain reliable thermodynamic data for important Cr(III)-carbonate reactions.
A combination of techniques (XRD, XANES, EXAFS, UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy, thermodynamic analyses of solubility data, and quantum
mechanical calculations) was used to characterize the solid and aqueous species. The Pitzer ion-interaction approach was used
to interpret the solubility data. Only two aqueous species [Cr(OH)(CO3)22− and Cr(OH)4CO33−] are required to explain Cr(III)-carbonate reactions in a wide range of pH, CO2(g) partial pressures, and bicarbonate and carbonate concentrations. Calculations based on density functional theory support
the existence of these species. The log 10
K° values of reactions involving these species [{Cr(OH)3(am) + 2CO2(g)⇌Cr(OH)(CO3)22−+2H+} and {Cr(OH)3(am) + OH−+CO32−
⇌Cr(OH)4CO33−}] were found to be −(19.07±0.41) and −(4.19±0.19), respectively. No other data on any Cr(III)-carbonato complexes are available

LiMnC2O4(Ac) precursor in which Li+ and Mn2+ were amalgamated in one molecule was prepared by solid-state reaction at room-temperature using manganese acetate, lithium hydroxide and oxalic acid as raw materials. By thermo-decomposition of LiMnC2O4(Ac) at various temperatures, a series of Li1+y[Mn2−xLix]16dO4 spinels were prepared with Li2MnO3 as impurities. The structure and phase transition of these spinels were investigated by XRD, TG/DTA, average oxidation state of Mn and cyclic voltammeric techniques. Results revealed that the Li-Mn-O spinels with high Li/Mn ratio were unstable at high temperature, and the phase transition was associated with the transfer of Li+ from octahedral 16c sites to 16d sites. With the sintering temperature increasing from 450 to 850 °C, the phase structure varied from lithiated-spinel Li2Mn2O4 to Li4Mn5O12-like to LiMn2O4-like and finally to rock-salt LiMnO2-like. A way of determining x with average oxidation state of Mn and the content of Li2MnO3 was also demonstrated. 相似文献

Low-temperature heat capacities of the compound Na(C4H7O5)·H2O(s) have been measured with an automated adiabatic calorimeter. A solid-solid phase transition and dehydration occur at 290-318 K and 367-373 K, respectively. The enthalpy and entropy of the solid-solid transition are ΔtransHm = (5.75 ± 0.01) kJ mol−1 and ΔtransSm = (18.47 ± 0.02) J K−1 mol−1. The enthalpy and entropy of the dehydration are ΔdHm = (15.35 ± 0.03) kJ mol−1 and ΔdSm = (41.35 ± 0.08) J K−1 mol−1. Silver(I)‐Selective PVC Membrane Potentiometric Sensor Based on a Recently Synthesized Calix[4]arene

A new PVC membrane potentiometric sensor for Ag(I) ion based on a recently synthesized calix[4]arene compound of 5,11,17,23‐tetra‐tert‐butyl‐25,27‐dihydroxy‐calix[4]arene‐thiacrown‐4 is developed. The electrode exhibits a Nernstian response for Ag(I) ions over a wide concentration range (1.0×10?2?1.0×10?6 M) with a slope of 53.8±1.6 mV per decade. It has a relatively fast response time (5–10 s) and can be used for at least 2 months without any considerable divergence in potentials. The proposed electrode shows high selectivity towards Ag+ ions over Pb2+, Cd2+, Co2+, Zn2+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Sr2+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Li+, K+, Na+, NH4+ ions and can be used in a pH range of 2–6. Only interference of Hg2+ is found. It is successfully used as an indicator electrode in potentiometric titration of a mixture of chloride, bromide and iodide ions. 相似文献
