Reduction-responsive vesicle was prepared by salt-bridging N-[3-(dimethylamino)propyl]-octadecanamide (DMAPODA, a cationic amphiphile) using 3,3′-dithiodipropionic acid (DTPA, a disulfide diacid compound). According to the transmission electron micrograph and the fluorescence quenching degree (53.2%), it could be said that vesicles were formed when the DMAPODA to DTPA molar ratio was 2:2. The DMAPODA/DTPA associate was considered to be a building block for vesicle formation because DTPA could electrostatically associate with DMAPODA and help the cationic amphiphile assemble into the vesicle. On a differential scanning calorimetric thermogram, the DMAPODA/DTPA vesicle showed two endothermic peaks at 50.6°C and 63.2°C. The peak found at the lower temperature was possibly due to the solid gel-to-liquid crystal phase transition of the vesicular membrane and the peak found at the higher temperature was considered to be due to the melting of DMAPODA, indicating that unassociated DMAPODA coexisted with DMAPODA/DTPA vesicles. The release of calcein enveloped in the vesicle was promoted by DL-dithiothreitol, possibly because DTPA can be broken by the reducing agent to form mercaptopropionic acids and the vesicle could be disintegrated and/or the vesicular membrane would become defective. 相似文献

Aprotic sodium–O2 batteries require the reversible formation/dissolution of sodium superoxide (NaO2) on cycling. Poor cycle life has been associated with parasitic chemistry caused by the reactivity of electrolyte and electrode with NaO2, a strong nucleophile and base. Its reactivity can, however, not consistently explain the side reactions and irreversibility. Herein we show that singlet oxygen (1O2) forms at all stages of cycling and that it is a main driver for parasitic chemistry. It was detected in‐ and ex‐situ via a 1O2 trap that selectively and rapidly forms a stable adduct with 1O2. The 1O2 formation mechanism involves proton‐mediated superoxide disproportionation on discharge, rest, and charge below ca. 3.3 V, and direct electrochemical 1O2 evolution above ca. 3.3 V. Trace water, which is needed for high capacities also drives parasitic chemistry. Controlling the highly reactive singlet oxygen is thus crucial for achieving highly reversible cell operation. 相似文献

The amount of water adsorbed on polar columns plays important role in hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography. It may strongly differ for the individual types of polar columns used in this separation mode. We measured adsorption isotherms of water on an amide and three diol‐bonded stationary phases that differ in the chemistry of the bonded ligands and properties of the silica gel support. We studied the effects of the adsorbed water on the retention of aromatic carboxylic acids, flavonoids, benzoic acid derivatives, nucleic bases, and nucleosides in aqueous‐acetonitrile mobile phases over the full composition range. The graphs of the retention factors versus the volume fraction of water in mobile phase show “U‐profile” characteristic of a dual hydrophilic interaction–reversed phase retention mechanism. The minimum on the graph that marks the changing retention mechanism depends on the amount of adsorbed water. The linear solvation energy relationship model suggests that the retention in the hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography mode is controlled mainly by proton–donor interactions in the stationary phase, depending on the column type. Finally, the accuracy of hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography gradient prediction improves for columns that show a high water adsorption. 相似文献

The quality consistency of Yinqiaojiedu tablets (YQJDTs) was monitored by extracting their electrophoretic fingerprint and marker compound data that were obtained using capillary electrophoresis. To select the suitable background electrolyte, wing‐shape method was proposed. A background electrolyte composed of 103.1 mM boric acid, 51.6 mM sodium borate, 9.8 mM disodium hydrogen phosphate, and 15.6 mM sodium dihydrogen phosphate was used to separate compounds. Under the optimized conditions, the content of three marker compounds was determined in 25 YQJDT samples. The capillary electrophoresis fingerprints were developed simultaneously, then 25 samples from two manufacturers were clearly divided into two clusters based on the principal component analysis. In fingerprint assessments, systematic quantified fingerprint method was adopted for integrative quality discrimination of YQJDTs from both qualitative and quantitative perspectives, by which the qualities of 25 samples were well differentiated. In addition, partial least squares model was established to explore fingerprint–efficacy relationship between the fingerprints and the antioxidant activities in vitro, providing clinically useful information for quality control. The proposed method was reliable and comprehensive, which could be used for a valuable reference to monitor the quality consistency of traditional Chinese medicines. 相似文献

A novel magnetic mesoporous silica material was synthesized and used as the sorbent for the magnetic solid‐phase microextraction of diazinon and malathion before their quantification by high‐performance liquid chromatography with UV detection. The sorbent was synthesized by a surfactant‐templated one‐pot sol–gel procedure using SiO2‐coated Fe3O4 as the magnetic support, cetyltrimethylammonium bromide as the template and tetraethyl orthosilicate as the silicon source. The characteristics of the prepared sorbent were investigated using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and X‐ray diffraction. The sorbent exhibited a high maximum adsorption capacity of 19.2 and 9.4 mg/g for diazinon and malathion, respectively. The parameters affecting the microextraction were optimized by the MultiSimplex method. Under the optimized conditions, the calibration graphs were linear in the concentration ranges of 0.3–50.0 and 0.5–50 μg/L with the limits of detection of 0.09 and 0.14 μg/L for diazinon and malathion, respectively. The relative standard deviations (n = 5) at a concentration level of 10.0 μg/L of analytes were less than 2.5 and 4% for intra and interday, respectively. The developed method was successfully used for the determination of diazinon and malathion in apple, tomato, cucumber, tap water, and well water samples. 相似文献

A novel hollow‐fiber liquid‐phase microextraction based on oil‐in‐salt was proposed and introduced for the simultaneous extraction and enrichment of the main active compounds of hesperidin, honokiol, shikonin, magnolol, emodin, and β,β′‐dimethylacrylshikonin in a formula of Zi‐Cao‐Cheng‐Qi decoction and the single herb, Fructus Aurantii Immaturus , Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis , Radix et Rhizoma , and Lithospermum erythrorhizon , composing the formula prior to their analysis by high‐performance liquid chromatography. The results obtained by the proposed procedure were compared with those obtained by conventional hollow‐fiber liquid‐phase microextraction, and the proposed procedure mechanism was described. In the procedure, a hollow‐fiber segment was first immersed in organic solvent to fill the solvent in the fiber lumen and wall pore, and then the fiber was again immersed into sodium chloride solution to cover a thin salt membrane on the fiber wall pore filling organic solvent. Under the optimum conditions, the enrichment factors of the analytes were 0.6–109.4, linearities were 0.002–12 μg/mL with r 2 ≥ 0.9950, detection limits were 0.6–12 ng/mL, respectively. The results showed that oil‐in‐salt hollow‐fiber liquid‐phase microextraction is a simple and effective sample pretreatment procedure and suitable for the simultaneous extraction and concentration of trace‐level active compounds in traditional Chinese medicine. 相似文献

We report interesting photomechanical behaviors of the dynamic molecular crystals of (E )‐2‐(2,4‐dichlorostyryl)benzo[d]oxazole ( BOACl24 ). The photosalient effect of the rod‐like crystal based on a metal‐free olefin driven by photodimerization is observed. Moreover, the needle‐like crystals of BOACl24 exhibit a reversible bending away from a UV light source. The nanofibers curl easily under UV irradiation in an organogel, in which the photo‐induced rolling of a small slice occurs. This suggests that the rapid release of the accumulated strain during photodimerization may lead to a photosalient effect, and the bending or curling happens when the strain is released slowly. Notably, [2+2] cycloaddition takes place between two different conformational isomers of BOACl24 on account of the rotation of the benzoxazole ring around the C−C bond in an excited state before photodimerization. Such topo‐photochemical reaction has not been reported elsewhere. 相似文献

A complementary application of three analytical techniques, viz. multidimensional nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), mass spectrometry (MS), and single‐crystal X‐ray diffractometry was required to identify and refine two natural products isolated from Millettia versicolor and solvent of crystallization. The two compounds, namely 3‐(2H‐1,3‐benzodioxol‐5‐yl)‐6‐methoxy‐8,8‐dimethyl‐4H ,8H‐pyrano[2,3‐h ]chromen‐4‐one, or durmillone, (I), and (2E )‐1‐(4‐{[(2E )‐3,7‐dimethylocta‐2,6‐dien‐1‐yl]oxy}‐2‐hydroxyphenyl)‐3‐(4‐hydroxyphenyl)prop‐2‐en‐1‐one, (II), could not be separated by routine column chromatography and cocrystallized in a 2:1 ratio with 0.13 molecules of ethanol solvent. Compound (II) and ethanol could not be initially identified by single‐crystal X‐ray analysis due to complex disorder in the aliphatic chain region of (II). Mass spectrometry ensured that (II) represented only one species disordered over several positions in the solid state, rather than several species cohabitating on the same crystallographic site. The atomic identification and connectivity in (II) were established by several 2D (two‐dimensional) NMR techniques, which in turn relied on a knowledge of its exact mass. The derived connectivity was then used in the single‐crystal analysis to model the disorder of the aliphatic chain in (II) over three positions and allowed identification of a partially occupied ethanol solvent molecule that was disordered over an inversion center.
