超短强激光脉冲在等离子体隧道中传输的理论与数值模拟研究

研究了超短强激光脉冲在非扰动抛物型部分电离的预等离子体隧道中的传输特性.从Maxwell方程出发得到了两个包含衍射、三阶强度非线性、等离子体散焦、等离子体隧道聚焦以及相对论自聚焦等效应在内的激光场演化方程，即折射率方程和哈密顿-雅可比方程.在此基础 上得到了激光在等离子体隧道中传输的包络方程以及光斑半径与传输距离、隧道宽度等初始 参量的关系. 关键词： 等离子体隧道聚焦 相对论自聚焦 势阱     

Computational Electrochemistry: A Model to Studying Ohmic Distortion of Voltammetry in Multiple Working Electrode,Microfluidic Devices,an Adaptive FEM Approach

Characteristics of mass transport and potential distribution applicable to microfluidic electrochemical flow cell devices has been modelled using the finite element method. A flexible, automatic grid generation algorithm has been combined with an a‐posteriori error indication technique presented by Nann and Heinze to allow irregular cell geometries to be modelled. The code has been applied to the problem of steady state generator – detector linear sweep voltammetry in a channel flow cell showing the effects of IR drop on the voltammetric response of each electrode.     

A metric approach to asymptotic analysis

We introduce a notion of “firm” (or uniform) asymptotic cone to an unbounded subset of a normed space. We relate this notion to a concept of “firm” asymptotic function. We use these notions to study boundedness properties which can be applied to continuity questions for some operations on sets and functions. Such questions arise in stability analysis of Hamilton-Jacobi equations. We present some other applications such as an extension of a theorem of Dieudonné and existence results in optimization and fixed point theory.     

Proof of a conjecture on the supports of Wigner distributions

In this note we prove that the Wigner distribution of an f ∈ L₂(ℝ_n) cannot be supported by a set of finite measure in ℝ_2n unless f=0. We prove a corresponding statement for cross-ambiguity functions. As a strengthening of the conjecture we show that for an f ∈ L₂(ℝ_n) its Wigner distribution has a support of measure 0 or ∞ in any half-space of ℝ_2n.     

On variable stepsize Runge-Kutta approximations of a Cauchy problem for the evolution equation

We consider a Cauchy problem for the sectorial evolution equation with generally variable operator in a Banach space. Variable stepsize discretizations of this problem by means of a strongly A(φ)-stable Runge-Kutta method are studied. The stability and error estimates of the discrete solutions are derived for wider families of nonuniform grids than quasiuniform ones (in particular, if the operator in question is constant or Lipschitz-continuous, for arbitrary grids).     

Completeness and unbiased estimation of mean vector in the multivariate group sequential case

We consider estimation after a group sequential test about a multivariate normal mean, such as a χ² test or a sequential version of the Bonferroni procedure. We derive the density function of the sufficient statistics and show that the sample mean remains to be the maximum likelihood estimator but is no longer unbiased. We propose an alternative Rao-Blackwell type unbiased estimator. We show that the family of distributions of the sufficient statistic is not complete, and there exist infinitely many unbiased estimators of the mean vector and none has uniformly minimum variance. However, when restricted to truncation-adaptable statistics, completeness holds and the Rao-Blackwell estimator has uniformly minimum variance.
