Vanadate and vanadium compounds exist in many environmental, biological and clinical matrices, and despite the need only limited progress has been made on the analysis of vanadium compounds. The vanadium coordination chemistry of different oxidation states is known, and the result of the characterization and speciation analysis depends on the subsequent chemistry and the methods of analysis. Many studies have used a range of methods for the characterization and determination of metal ions in a variety of materials. One successful technique is high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) that has been used mainly for measuring total vanadium level and metal speciation. Some cases have been reported where complexes of different oxidation states of vanadium have been separated by HPLC. Specifically reversed phase (RP) HPLC has frequently been used for the measurement of vanadium. Other HPLC methods such as normal phase, anion-exchange, cation-exchange, size exclusion and other RP-HPLC modes such as, ion-pair and micellar have been used to separate selected vanadium compounds. We will present a review that summarizes and critically analyzes the reported methods for analysis of vanadium salts and vanadium compounds in different sample matrices. We will compare various HPLC methods and modes including sample preparation, chelating reagents, mobile phase and detection methods. The comparison will allow us to identify the best analytical HPLC method and mode for measuring vanadium levels and what information such methods provide with regard to speciation and quantitation of the vanadium compounds.  相似文献

2-Trifluoroacetyl-4,5-dihydrofurans were obtained by manganese(III) acetate mediated radical cyclization of trifluoromethyl-1,3-dicarbonyl compounds (1a-c) with conjugated alkenes (2a-h). The reaction of 1,1,1-trifluoropentane-2,4-dione (1a) with propenylbenzene and 1,1-diphenyl-1-butene surprisingly yielded 3-(dihydrofuran-2(3H)-ylidene)-1,1,1-trifluoroacetones besides 3-trifluoroacetyl-4,5-dihydrofurans.  相似文献

The manganese(III)-catalyzed aerobic oxidation of 2,4-piperidinediones was performed in the presence of alkenes at room temperature, producing 1-hydroxy-8-aza-2,3-dioxabicyclo[4.4.0]decan-7-ones in excellent yields. On the other hand, the 6-acetoxy-3-aza-7-oxabicyclo[4.3.0]nonan-2-ones were obtained by the oxidation of the 2,4-piperidinedione-3-carboxylates with manganese(III) acetate in the presence of alkenes at elevated temperature under an argon atmosphere. A similar oxidation using decarboxylated 2,4-piperidinediones produced the 2,3,6,7-tetrahydrofuro[3,2-c]pyridin-4(5H)-ones and/or 2,3,6,7-tetrahydrofuro[2,3-b]pyridin-4(5H)-ones in good yields. The structure determination and the decomposition reaction of the azabicyclic peroxides in acetic acid or acetic anhydride, and the reaction pathway were also described.  相似文献

Further studies on the RuO4-catalyzed oxidative polycyclization of isoprenoid polyenes have been carried out. The configuration of the tris-THF product from the oxidation of geranylgeranyl acetate has been determined by a combination of spectral and chemical correlation methods. The oxidation of (E,Z)-farnesyl acetate, synthesized from nerol, has been carried out. This process stops at the first cyclization indicating that an E configuration of the Δ6 double bond is needed for the second cyclization to occur. The results are discussed in comparison with previous knowledge on the related Re(VII) polycyclization of polyenic bis-homoallylic alcohols.  相似文献

The earlier reported matrix system methylacetate/ H2O/Ar has been reinvestigated by IR spectroscopy. The complex band pattern of the ester ν c=0 and the water ν3, ν1 and ν2 modes can be explained by the coexistence of 1:1, linear 1:2 and linear 2:1 H-bonded complexes. The study of methyl benzoate/H2O/Ar supports the proposed interpretation.  相似文献

An optical film with high optical anisotropy was prepared by the stretching of a cellulose acetate film and the consequential orienting of a retardation‐enhancing additive. The change in retardation in response to moisture absorption was explored and it was found that the degree of the retardation variation is strongly related to the stretching temperature. Stress generated by the stretching and its relaxation was systematically investigated to elucidate the effect of stretching temperature on the irreversible change in retardation upon moisture absorption. The results show that the magnitude of releasable stress plays an important role in controlling changes in optical properties. In addition, the difference in the deformation behavior between glassy and rubbery states should be taken into account in the development of a moisture‐resistant optical film. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Chemical bath deposition method has been used to synthesize a variety of ZnO morphology structures. However, the specificity and interaction of acetate and ammonium ions with ZnO crystal during the growth process remain elusive. This study contributes to understand the roles of ammonium acetate on the growth mechanism of ZnO in Zn(NO3)2-HMTA system. The growth process indicates that the nucleation experienced Zn2+-layered basic zinc salts (LBZs)-ZnO process, while the self-assembled unit changed from urchin-shaped, rod-shaped to a fully coupled twin-shaped structure with increasing ammonium acetate concentration. Ammonium acetate dominates the growth process by combing the ligand-ligand interaction of acetate ions binding to the same Zn-rich (0001) polar surface and ammonium ions regulating hexamethylenetetramine (HMTA) hydrolysis. Relatively regular hexagonal wurtzite structure and a dissolve-renucleation-regrowth process which retains the twin-shaped template and renucleates at the same position are observed at ∼10 mM ammonium acetate. Photoelectrochemistry (PEC) measurements show that the uniform hexagonal ZnO rods (Y-10, the sample named as Y-x (x represents x mM ammonium acetate, herein, x is 10 mM)) have a maximum photocurrent density of 1.54 mA cm−2 at 1.23 V (vs. RHE), much higher than that of the dumbbell-shaped ZnO rods (Y-50, 0.20 mA cm−2) at the same voltage. These results provide a further explanation of morphology regulation mechanisms on ZnO synthesis processes and pave the road for more practical applications.  相似文献

Abstract

Poly(lactic acid) macromonomers with methacrylate terminal functionality have been synthesized from the cyclic dimer of lactic acid (referred to as lactide) with 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) as initiator and stannous 2-ethyl hexanoate as catalyst. The macromonomers were characterized with FT-IR, NMR, GPC, DSC, WAXS, and CD. The molecular weights of the macromonomers ranging from M n 1425 to 19,169 are predictable from the lactide/HEMA ratio in the polymerization feeds. The properties of the macromonomers vary with the stereochemistry of the lactide and the composition. Circular dichroism measurements demonstrate that there is little racemization during polymerization.  相似文献
