We consider a category of effect algebras and formulate an abstract-hidden variables problem for an object of this category. A notion of indeterministic object is introduced as of an object which induces a Kochen–Specker-type contradiction. A sufficient condition for an object to be indeterministic is derived. An abstract algebraic point of view on a no-hidden variables example constructed by Mermin is given. The notion of a passage to the semiclassical limit is analyzed and refined. 相似文献

We survey the many instances of derived bracket construction in differential geometry, Lie algebroid and Courant algebroid theories, and their properties. We recall and compare the constructions of Buttin and of Vinogradov, and we prove that the Vinogradov bracket is the skew-symmetrization of a derived bracket. Odd (resp., even) Poisson brackets on supermanifolds are derived brackets of canonical even (resp., odd) Poisson brackets on their cotangent bundle (resp., parity-reversed cotangent bundle). Lie algebras have analogous properties, and the theory of Lie algebroids unifies the results valid for manifolds on the one hand, and for Lie algebras on the other. Using two different types of the laddering equations realized simultaneously by the associated Gegenbauer functions, we show that all quantum states corresponding to the motion of a free particle on AdS

Pseudo-effect algebras are partial algebras (E;+,0,1) with a partially defined addition + which is not necessarily commutative and therefore with two complements, left and right. If they satisfy a special kind of the Riesz decomposition property, they are intervals in unital po-groups. The general comparability property in unital po-groups with strong unit (G,u), allows to compare elements of G in some intervals with Boolean ends. Employing positive-definiteness arguments we analyse Boson field states, which combine classical and quantum mechanical features (signal and noise), in a constructive manner. Mathematically, they constitute Bauer simplexes within the convex, weak-*-compact state space of the C*-Weyl algebra, defined by a presymplectic test function space (smooth one-Boson wave functions) and are affinely homeomorphic to a state space of a classical field. The regular elements are expressed in terms of weak distributions (probability premeasures) on the dual test function space. A rigorous geometric proof of the Lie theorem on nonlinear superposition rules for solutions of nonautonomous ordinary differential equations is given filling in all the gaps present in the existing literature. The proof is based on an alternative but equivalent definition of a superposition rule: it is considered as a foliation with some suitable properties. The problem of uniqueness of the superposition function is solved, the key point being the codimension of the foliation constructed from the given Lie algebra of vector fields. Finally, as a more convincing argument supporting the use of this alternative definition of superposition rule, it is shown that this definition allows an immediate generalization of the Lie theorem for the case of systems of partial differential equations. 相似文献
