The paper presents a procedure for constructing smooth actions of finite perfect groups on spheres with fixed point sets having certain prescribed properties (Theorem A); in particular, having any prescribed configuration of Chern and Pontryagin numbers (Corollary C). In this experimental work we carefully investigate the rheological behaviour and in particular the shear thickening exhibited by aqueous micellar solutions of CTAB with NaSal as added counterion. We are particularly interested in the evolution of the critical shear rate (at which shear thickening occurs) versus C D , the surfactant concentration. We show that , at fixed salt concentration C S , increases with C D following a power law evolution with a positive exponent of + 5.8. On the other hand we show that if the ratio C D / C S is fixed, decreases with C D with a negative exponent of -2.0. Nevertheless investigations of the zero shear viscosity indicate that in all situations (implying variation of the surfactant concentration C D , or the salt concentration C S or the temperature) is a decreasing function of the length of the micelles. All these evolutions are compatible with a gelation mechanism which could possibly be associated with entanglement effects of large interacting flowing structures. The objective of the present investigation was to develop microemulsion-based transdermal systems of highly water soluble drug, Atenolol, by quality by design technique. Atenolol-loaded W/O microemulsions were optimized using D-optimal design with concentrations of oil, surfactants mixture, and water as independent variables, which was converted into microemulsion-based gel (MBG). The results of in vitro permeation of the optimized batch of Atenolol-loaded MBG revealed significant increase in permeability parameters as compared to its convention gel. All results suggested suitability of W/O type MEs as carriers for transdermal delivery of highly water soluble drug, Atenolol.  相似文献

In the present work, the influence of porosity and boron on shear thickening behavior of hybrid mesoporous silica has been studied. Three different levels of boron modification were performed by varying the molar composition of boric acid viz., 1.5 mmol, 2.5 mmol, and 3.5 mmol in a co-condensation approach. The incorporation of boron in mesoporous silica network was confirmed by various techniques such as Fourier transform infra-red (FTIR), and 11B solid- state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. The morphology and particle size were confirmed by using scanning and transmission electron microscopy. To evaluate the effect of boron and porosity on the shear thickening behavior, dispersions were prepared from mesoporous boron- modified silica (MSiB), control mesoporous silica (MSi), non-porous boron-modified silica (SiB), and control non-porous silica (Si) in polyethylene glycol. The shear thickening behavior was studied using steady shear rheology. The dispersion prepared from different loadings of synthesized MSiB containing 1.5 mmol boron showed more than 16 times increase in viscosity (657.7 Pa.s) compared to that of MSi (39.2 Pa.s) at a fairly low volume fraction (φ = 0.15) of silica. It is expected that the highly ordered mesoporous architecture of hybrid silica has improved the interaction between the particle and the dispersing medium through hydrogen bonding. The porous morphology of the hybrid mesoporous silica as well as the incorporation of boron in the silica network favors the formation of a frictional contact network, and a transition from continuous shear thickening (CST) to discontinuous shear thickening (DST) behavior was observed. Therefore, silica prepared via incorporation of boron as well as porosity can be material of interest in variety of applications, for example, soft body armors, sporting goods, and shear thickening electrolytes for high impact resistant batteries.  相似文献

The present study sought to characterize the rheological and thickening properties of Konjac glucomannan (KGM) and prepare thickening components for special medical purposes using KGM and maltodextrin as the primary raw materials and guar gum (GG), xanthan gum (XG), locust bean gum (LBG), and carrageenan (KC) as the supplemented materials. The formulation and preparation processes were optimized through single factor experiments taking sensory evaluation as an indicator. The results confirm that KGM had excellent thickening performance, reaching about 90 times its own mass. The optimal formulation process of the thickening components based on KGM was as follows: the mass concentration of the compound thickener (KGM/GG/XG/LBG/KC = 13:2:2:2:1) was 5.0–7.0 mg/mL; the maltodextrin concentration was 10.0 mg/mL; the brewing temperature of the thickening component was 60 °C with no restriction on consumption time. The rheology test results revealed that the thickening components had shear thinning characteristics, which could provide three different thickening effects of nectar-thick level (350 mPa·s), honey-thick level (1250 mPa·s), and pudding-thick level (1810 mPa·s) suitable for people with different degrees of chewing disorders. Overall, this study provides a theoretical basis and technical reference for KGM as a dietary nutrition support for patients with dysphagia.  相似文献

In this research experiments were performed to examine the hydrodynamic diffusion of spherical particles in a highly filled suspension. The suspension consisted of nearly monodisperse polymethylmethacrylate spheres in a density matched polymer solution. The polymer solution was prepared by dissolving 0–700 ppm of polyacrylamide in a mixture of ethyleneglycol and glycerine. The polymer solution did not show appreciable shear thinning. The particle loading was varied from 30 to 55%. The hydrodynamic diffusivity was estimated by measuring the time-dependent viscosity when the suspension was subjected to a circular Couette flow with an air bubble trapped under the rotor of the Couette apparatus. The results show that the dimensionless diffusivity (D/γ˙a 2) of particles in polymer solution is not proportional to shear rate (γ˙), as in the case of a Newtonian fluid, but that it decreases with increasing shear rate. The diffusivity also decreases with increasing polymer concentration. It is suggested that the elongational thickening behaviour and the increased lubrication force due to the first normal stress difference may be responsible for the reduction of diffusivity in the polymer solution. 深度图像分割是基于特征关系图匹配的曲面物体识别中的关键技术之一,针对已有深度图像分割方法存在的问题,提出了一种基于二值形态学的水线区域增长算法对深度图像进行分割。首先用结构元素迭代腐蚀深度图像形成距离图像;然后根据距离图像计算极限腐蚀的集合,提取出目标的种子点;最后用条件粗化从种子点开始生长回到原尺寸但不使各区域相连,完成深度图像的分割。实验证明,算法的分割结果与人的主观视觉感知具有良好的一致性。  相似文献

In this paper we describe the construction of a Brownian Dynamics simulation of reversibly cross-linked networks. The simulation differs from existing analytical approaches and computer simulations of networks in the sense that we also take the topology of the network into account. The motion of the junction points between different molecules is not prescribed but is calculated from a force balance. This makes it possible to measure the effect of network reorganisations on the stress relaxation. The response of networks to shear flow is measured and analysed in terms of transient network theory and within the framework of linear viscoelasticity. It is shown that the average motion of the junction is affine but that there is a long time diffusive process around the affine path. It was found that, even in systems with Gaussian chains and fixed association and disociation rates, a shear thickening of the viscosity and primary normal stress coefficient can occur. The reason was found to be that dangling segments are recaptured by the network before they had the opportunity to fully relax to the equilibrium state where the probability of reattachment to the network increases linearly with the length of a segment. Due to this mechanism the fraction of long segments present in the network is increased. This explanation of shear thickening seems to be consistent with experimental findings.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Das Schubspannungs- und Verfestigungsverhalten verschieden konzentrierter hochmolekularer Polyisobutenlösungen wird mit Hilfe eines neu konstruierten Hochdruckkapillarviskosimeters bis zu sehr hohen Schergeschwindigkeiten untersucht. Hierbei wird gleichzeitig der Einlaufdruckverlust nach Bagley durch Messungen an Kapillaren mit unterschiedlichenL/R-Verhältnissen ermittelt und, um Informationen über das Einströmverhalten der Lösungen zu erhalten, die Einlaufströmung in die Kapillare sichtbar gemacht. Im Bereich niedriger Schergeschwindigkeiten werden die Lösungen zusätzlich mit verschiedenen Rotationsviskosimetern charakterisiert.Die anhand der durchgeführten Untersuchungen erhaltenen Fließkurven lassen sich für Lösungen mit einem Polymergehalt ab 0,5% PIB-B200 in drei Bereiche einteilen, die mit Hilfe von Strömungssichtbarmachungsuntersuchungen verschiedenen Strömungsphänomenen zugeordnet werden können. Dabei kommt es u. a. zu Verfestigungserscheinungen, die sich in einem sprunghaften Ansteigen des Druckverlustes bemerkbar machen. Durch Messungen an Kapillaren mit einem kegelförmigen Einlauf kann gezeigt werden, daß diese Verfestigungserscheinungen und der damit verbundene Druckanstieg nicht nur auf das Auftreten von Sekundärströmungen im Einlaufbereich der Kapillaren zurückgeführt werden kann, sondern daß hierfür andere Effekte wie etwa die Bildung von Assoziaten aus Makromolekülen verantwortlich gemacht werden können. Auch die starke Viskositätszunahme der Lösungen im Verfestigungsbereich und die Beobachtung der Ausbildung heller Streulichtfelder sprechen für eine Bildung von Polymerassoziaten vor der Kapillare.Des weiteren wird bei den Untersuchungen zur Bagley-Korrektur festgestellt, daß zur korrekten Ermittlung des Einlaufdruckverlustes bei höher konzentrierten Polyisobutenlösungen Kapillaren mit einemL/R-Verhältnis von mindestens 1000 verwendet werden müssen. Es zeigt sich nämlich im Bagley-plot dieser Lösungen, daß die Linien konstanter Schergeschwindigkeit bei kleinerenL/R-Verhältnissen eine auffallende Krümmung im Sinne eines mit zunehmendemL/R-Verhältnis abnehmenden Druckgradienten besitzen, der erst oberhalb eines bestimmtenL/R-Verhältnisses konstant wird.
A new design high-pressure capillary-viscometer is used to study the shear behavior of high-molecular polyisobutene solutions up to very high shear rates. The entry pressure loss from the Bagley-plot is estimated by the measurement in capillaries of different length-to-radius (L/R) ratios. Simultaneously, flow visualization of the entry flow is carried out. At low shear rates the flow behavior of the solutions is characterized by different rotational viscometers.The obtained flow curves for the solutions with polymer concentrations being above 0.5% PIB-B200 can be divided into three regions which can be related to different flow phenomena by means of flow visualization. A sudden increase in pressure loss can be related to a shear thickening behavior. Measurements in capillaries with a conical entry show that this thickening behavior is not only due to secondary flows in the entry region of the capillary, but also due to other effects like the association of macromolecules. The assumption of the formation of molecular associates is also supported by the large increase in the viscosity of the solutions in the thickening region and the observed formation of luminous scattered light areas.Furthermore, the investigations on the Bagley-correction show that for higher concentrated polyisobutene solutions capillaries withL/R ratios of at least 1 000 have to be used for a correct determination of the entry pressure loss. The Bagley-plots of these solutions show that lines of constant shear rate are remarkably curved at lowerL/R ratios. The gradient of the pressure loss decreases with increasingL/R ratio and approaches a constant value at a certainL/R ratio.
