Difference in micellar properties of sodium dodecyl sulfonate from sodium 4-decyl naphthalene sulfonate in D2O solution studied by 1H NMR relaxation and 2D NOESY

¹H chemical shift changes of sodium 4-decyl naphthalene sulfonate (SDNS) at 313 K show that its critical micellar concentration lies between 0.82 and 0.92 mmol/dm³, which is in the same range as that of the previous study at 298 K. The spin–lattice relaxation time, spin–spin relaxation time and two-dimensional nuclear Overhauser enhancement spectroscopy experiments give information about the structure of the SDNS micelle and the dynamics of the molecules in the micelle. The size of the SDNS micelle remains almost unchanged in the temperature range from 298 to 313 K as deduced by analyzing the self-diffusion coefficient. Special arrangement of the naphthyl rings of SDNS in the micelles affects the packing of these hydrophobic chains. The methylene groups of the alkyl chain nearest the naphthalene groups penetrate into the aromatic region, which results in a more tightly packed hydrophobic micellar core than that of sodium dodecyl sulfonate.     

Julia lines of random Dirichlet series

For the random entire functions defined by some random Dirichlet series almost surely every horizontal line is a Julia line without exceptional values. These results contain and generalize partially a theorem of P.L. Davies. The proofs are different.     

HILBERTIAN INVARIANCE PRINCIPLE FOR EMPIRICAL PROCESS ASSOCIATED WITH A MARKOV PROCESS

The authors establish the Hilbertian invariance principle for the empirical process of a stationary Markov process, by extending the forward-backward martingale decomposition of Lyons-Meyer-Zheng to the Hilbert space valued additive functionals associated with general non-reversible Markov processes.     

Computational and algorithmic aspects of cardinal spline-wavelets

Pascal triangles are formulated for computing the coefficients of the B-spline series representation of the compactly supported spline-wavelets with minimum support and their derivatives. It is shown that with the alternating signs removed, all these sequences are totally positive. On the other hand, truncations of the reciprocal Euler-Frobenius polynomials lead to finite sequences for orthogonal wavelet decompositions. For this purpose, sharp estimates are given in terms of the exact reconstruction of these approximate decomposed components. B-Spline with Symplectic Algorithm Method for Solution of Time-Dependent Schrodinger Equations

A B-spline with the symplectic algorithm method for the solution of time-dependent Schrodinger equations （TDSEs） is introduced. The spatial part of the wavefunction is expanded by B-spline and the time evolution is given in a symplectic scheme. This method allows us to obtain a highly accurate and stable solution of TDSEs. The effectiveness and efficiency of this method is demonstrated by the high-order harmonic spectra of one-dimensional atoms in comparison with other references.     

AN ESTIMATE ON THE DISTRIBUTION AND MOMENTS OF THE LAST EXIT TIME OF AN ELLIPTIC DIFFUSION PROCESS

Let LB be the last exit time from a compact set B of an elliptic diffusion process X. A moderate estimate for the distribution of LB is obtained, and the sufficient and necessary condition for Ex(LBk)<∞is proved.     

Reduction of Dislocations in GaN Epilayer Grown on Si （111） Substrates using a GaN Intermedial Layer

GaN intermedial layers grown under different pressures are inserted between GaN epilayers and AIN/Si（111） substrates. In situ optical reflectivity measurements show that a transition from the three-dimensional （3D） mode to the 2I） one occurs during the GaN epilayer growth when a higher growth pressure is used during the preceding GaN intermedial layer growth, and an improvement of the crystalline quality of GaN epilayer will be made. Combining the in situ reflectivity and transmission electron microscopy （TEM） measurements, it is suggested that the lateral growth at the transition of growth mode is favourable for bending of dislocation lines, thus reducing the density of threading dislocations in the epilayer.     

The newton filtration and d-determination of bifurcation problems related to C 0 contact equivalence

In this paper, from the Newton filtration’s point of view, we construct the singular Riemannian metric and use the method in singular theory to study the bifurcation problems, and give the sufficient condition of d-determination of bifurcation problems with respect to C ⁰ contact equivalence. The special cases of the main result in this paper are the results of Sun Weizhi and Zou Jiancheng.     

一种新型频域均衡器在水声通信中的应用

在传统频域均衡器的基础上,结合多载波频移键控调制方式的频谱结构,利用接收信号和参考信号的相关性及均衡器的滤波系数,提出了一种兼具均衡与解调功能的新型频域均衡器结构.该均衡器简单、有效地克服了水声信道中多径传播产生的码间干扰和频率选择性衰落等问题,简化了水声通信系统接收机的复杂度. 新型频域均衡器的解调原理以非相关解调算法为基础,但由于利用了均衡器的计算结果,其差错性能优于传统的非相关解调算法,计算机仿真试验表明,改进后的方法使差错性能提高了2 dB;实际水声通信实验表明,该均衡器能够有效地提高水声通信系统的可靠性,具有很好的应用前景.
