Fractal drums and then-dimensional modified Weyl-Berry conjecture

In this paper, we study the spectrum of the Dirichlet Laplacian in a bounded (or, more generally, of finite volume) open set R ⁿ (n1) with fractal boundary of interior Minkowski dimension (n–1,n]. By means of the technique of tessellation of domains, we give the exact second term of the asymptotic expansion of the counting functionN() (i.e. the number of positive eigenvalues less than ) as +, which is of the form ^/2 times a negative, bounded and left-continuous function of . This explains the reason why the modified Weyl-Berry conjecture does not hold generally forn2. In addition, we also obtain explicit upper and lower bounds on the second term ofN().     

On the leading term and the degree of the polynomial trace mapping associated with a substitution

Using the trace mapping and the reduced trace mapping associated with a substitution, one obtaines the spectral properties of one-dimensional Schrödinger operators of the formH=–+V onl ², where is the discrete Laplacian andV is a diagonal operator with elements derived from a substitution rule. In particular, the reduced trace mapping is closely related to the leading term of the original trace mapping. In this paper, the explicit expression of the leading term is given and its properties are discussed.     

Micro construction of poly(epsilon-caprolactone)/poly(L-lactic acid) blend film by solution casting under microwave irradiation

The micro construction of poly(epsilon-caprolactone) (PCL) and poly(L-lactic acid) (PLLA) blend films fabricated by solution casting under microwave irradiation was investigated by selective enzymatic degradation and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results were totally different from the blends obtained by conventional methods. The blend was more homogeneous and the PCL continuous phase more compact as no spherulites and tiny zone separation were observed from the film surface and no PCL network was observed inside the film, and the degradation of a PCL plank by Pseudomonas lipase was significantly retarded. The distributed PLLA micro spheres were enlarged and amorphous. The thermal behavior of the blend by microwave heating revealed that PCL and PLLA underwent a melting process, which induced the variations of the PCL phase and PLLA spheres. The weight loss caused by degradation of the PCL/PLLA blend obtained by conventional methods (B50c) is greater than that of the blend obtained by microwave methods (B50m), which reflects the change in morphology from a loose PCL network (B50c) to a dense PCL plank (B50m).

本文报道了一类新型全硫冠醚聚合物的合成,即由聚环硫氯丙烷与二巯基化合物反应,生成具有冠醚环结构单元的交联型聚合物。并研究了这些聚合物的对金属离子的络合性能。     

The Action of the Selenomorpholine Compounds on Escherichia coli Growth by Microcalorimetry

The action of three kinds of the selenomorpholine compounds on a strain ofEscherichia coli was studied by microcalorimetry. Differences in their capacities to affect the metabolism of this bacterium were observed. The extent and duration of the effect on the metabolism as judged from the rate constant (k) of Escherichia coli (in log phase) varied with the different drugs. The kinetics show that selenomorpholine compounds had an effect on the metabolism process of Escherichia coli. The k of Escherichia coli in the presence of the drugs increased with the increasing concentrations of the drugs (C) at low concentration; but at high concentration, the rate constant decreased with the increasing concentrations of the drugs. The experimental results reveal that the sequence of antibiotic activity of selenomorpholines is: N-selenomorpholinemethyl succinimide and its hydrochloride>N-(α-selenomorpholinebenzyl) succinimide. Synthesis and analytical application of tribromocarboxyarsenazo as a new chromogenic reagent for zirconium

A new chromogenic reagent tribromocarboxyarsenazo has been synthesized and the chromogenic reaction of this reagent with zirconium studied. In the medium of 0.5 mol/1 HCl, a blue complex is formed by the reaction of zirconium with tribromocarboxyarsenazo. The maximum absorption of the complex is at 633 nm, and the apparent molar absorptivity is 4.8 x 10(4) 1/mol/cm. Beer's law is obeyed over the zirconium concentration range 0-18, mug/25 ml. The method has been applied to the determination of zirconium in aluminum, copper and magnesium alloys with satisfactory results.     

Study on the Chromatographic Behavior of Bases on Dodecylamine-N,N-dimethylenephosphonic Acid-Modified Zirconia Stationary Phase

A new zirconia-based stationary phase (DPZ) was prepared by modifying zirconia with dodecylamine-N,N-dimethylenephosphonic acid (DDPA). DDPA was adsorbed on zirconia with only one phosphonic group, with the other being free. Besides the hydrophobic interaction provided by nonpolar dodecyl, DPZ also has dipolar interaction, ion-exchange or electrostatic repellent interaction provided by the free phosphonic group and amino group at different conditions. Separation of bases on this stationary phase was achieved with satisfaction owing to the various retention mechanisms. The influence of methanol content, pH value, ion types, and ionic strength of mobile phase are studied in detail. Translated from Chinese Journal of Chromatography, 2005, 23(1) (in Chinese)

本文用阴离子聚合方法,首先合成了线形‘活’的聚苯乙烯大分子阴离子,然后用二乙烯基苯为偶联成核剂,制备了十三个4-80臂较窄分子量分布的等臂长规则星形支化聚苯乙烯的模型化合物,并用GPC—粘度计联用装置对之进行了表征。

TiO2／Ti／TiO2半导体隔片光电化学电池的性能

研究了半导体隔片光电化学电池(SC-SEP)中光池溶液的pH、暗池溶液的氧化还原电对以及两池中的暗电极对电池的开路电压、光生电压、短路光电流和光伏安特性的影响。对它们的影响机制进行了初步分析。通过合理选择电池体系,SC-SEP的性能可比单隔室的光电化学电池(PEC)优越。
